I would have left the ultramarine bitz in place and just put an ork skull icon over it with some rivets to make it look as if the ork just stapled his own logo over the dread.
@@modestrocker1 ..... What? By that logic I assume you'd never play as the empire in any starwars game. Or soviets in any ww2/cold war setting "since they are just communists". Hell how do you even find any faction to play as in 40k? They are all terrible in some way. Point is regardless of how terrible the ideology of your fictional setting it's still just that; fictional.
I'm an Ultramarines player, and I thought it was awesome. I love it when people butcher stuff to make cool kitbashes. If that means that some of my iconography gets the knife... well, there's no shortage of toilet seats in the world.
@@bradsimpson8724 good for you I suppose? The reason why I wrote that comment was not because he specifically removed iconogrophy. It was because he removed a well made sculpt. What's up with you people seemingly taking satisfaction from "sticking it" to fictional ideologies? They are just toy soldiers for gods sake
When you just slapped on an Imperial Knight exhaust, I couldn't help but say 'What?!' at the idea of using a bit from such an expensive model for a conversion like this... Though, I mean, it wasn't cheap anyways. I mean, Deff Dread bits, Killa Kan bits, Ghorgon bits, a Forge World Contemptor, Imperial Knight bits, a 3D printed head-- This is not a conversion for the light of wallet. By my calculations, buying direct from GW, where possible, if you wanted to make this and didn't have any of the kits prior it'd run you $332. Thank you for doing it so I can live vicariously through you. :p
It's amazing how all of your scrapped ideas in these videos are still so inspiring and useful for other projects. Also, cutting off the ultramarines iconography was a funny bit, but definitely made me flinch involuntarily
I really like this build! I would have left the arm armor on one side and leaving the other bare. I really enjoy acemetrical armor on orks as it really highlights the ramshackle nature of their equipment.
i imagine this warboss to be exceedingly British an' posh. "good day,' how's are ye days bein? let'z hav' a propa good ol' skrap" and other similarly obnoxiously polite and cordial behaviors.
I gotta say, im quite amazed with every video you put out. So to that effect I applaud your work. But since im new here id like to know what do you do with these. Like id would love to see you paint one. Allthough I realise you focus on sculpting.
what would be cool is if you made a ork war boss that had pieces of space marine armor that can be seen as space marine armor like this war boss saw how protective the space marine armor is and decided to loot some for himself and its from various types like normal space marines and chaos marines. but i would make him bigger than your biggest war boss (like he is older and stronger than others but also a little smarter)and mix some ideas from your other ork conversions like that chainsaw hand and other bits and bobs.
Love how the contemptor torso looks with the orky bits! Since you love making big orks, maybe you could try going more fantasy and make a giant grimgore ironhide, I think it’d be a nice challenge for you!
So Im unfamiliar with what this “Green Stuff” is? Is it just moldable clay that holds it shape over time and if so, how did you remake the crotch drape and those little leg covers so perfectly? Did you use a kind of mold or freehand, Whenever I see you add more of this play dough I can only imagine that the slightest amount of pressure would utterly destroy and compress this orkish lad.
Green Stuff is a putty that over time cures into a hard, rigid material. He likely made a press mold for the bits that he copied with it so that he could just push in some globs of putty and let them cure into shape.
arms to swoll lol clearly he dont mis arm day at the ork gym he gotta get swoll so he can weild the biggest dakka an to rip apart any git who gets in has way
Dude... if someone gave me a Forgeworld Contemptor and I did that to it, I'd not expect them to give any more minis. You butchered a beautiful sculpt to get a shape you could easily have made with sculpting putty. I love most of your builds but this one was weird to watch.
I would have left the ultramarine bitz in place and just put an ork skull icon over it with some rivets to make it look as if the ork just stapled his own logo over the dread.
That would've been rad
Lmao thats a good idea
You should've called it the Contemptork
Oh, thats clever.
Lmao
0:15 I don't even play ultramarines but that hurt to watch lmfao
i dont understand why anyone would play marines of any faction since they are just space fascists

with the way the arms look, it almost looks like the claws can extend outward with pistons to WAAAAAAAAAGH from an extra distance
This is the number 1 reason why i love orks, they are extremely costomizable.

I’m always inspired by how objective you stay, and how willing you are to abandon something that’s not working for a new direction.
Any chance of you going a conversion of a warhammer miniature in a vehicle, for example a custom space marine biker squad?
Yes!
custom fascist bikers
This dude contributes 20% of GW's Killa khans / Deff dreads sales.
I do love the idea an ork warboss cannibalized a dreadnought since it was the biggest suit of armor that could fit him
I'm proud of you!
It looks just great, keep doing what you're doing mate.

getting rid of fascist iconography is always a good thing
@@modestrocker1 You must be fun at parties...
@@modestrocker1 the ultramarines aren’t as fascist as the others, they are modest, kind and able to break you in half if you disrespect them
sweet glad to see you make a WarBoss with parts from a Dreadnought and more.
I really like the way this looks, thanks for the new project idea

If these were actual kits I would buy them no hesitation
This conversion kicks ass. Nice work, love seeing your massive terrifying orks
he looks hardcore! epic work sir 👍🍻
20 seconds in and already Im ODing on heresy.
i honestly want to see your models painted they look amazing and id love to see the finished results
he should send them to some of the yt warhammer painting community
The best Ork Conversions on RUclips! Awesome job again!
Always love your videos and look forward to each upload! You deserve 100x more subscribers
That came out looking amazing, if a little costly to build.
The finished result is awesome, but it pains me to see £60 of forgeworld dreadnought torn apart, which I cant even afford to begin with.
Exactly, I cried internally when he could have just used a cheap(er) GW contemptor
Yes it pains me to as I get 30 a month so to get big stuff I gotta save
It was donated thus he never paid, besides the emperor has more
@@wasterdnb space fascists do be space fascists
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a cheap recast
I'd love to see more centurions, they look so cool! I might buy a set just to make that conversion
You should collab with miniac or Sam Lenz , I really want to see your kit bashes come to life!
absolutely stunning!
any chance you'd do a snakebite ork in the future?
This is great as always
Would love to see your take on any grot stuff, great conversion!
I can't wait to see you convert a Leviathan dreadnought Ork warboss
The return of the kitbasher
I detect heresy

I like that dread bit arm. It just looks like the powerklaw can be extended with snappy piston action. Which is pretty orky, I tells ya.
Its just soo.......
Gotdang beautiful man

I thought Bullgors/Minotaurs might work as a base + Space Wolf Hound (can't remember the actual name of the set) heads
You scraping that ultramarine detail off hurt me physically 😢🙂
That head made it.👍
Heck yeah! More massive orcs!!
How would you go about making a Primeork mega warboss in custom greyknight terminator armour?
i need him in my life
you should get some of the people in the youtube warhammer painting community to make these models awesome by painting them
I need to kitbash harder. My current kitbashes are put to shame by this.
Kit bash idea
a salvaged dreadnought with a small ork piloting it
YES! MORE BIG ORKS!
Any chance of a tyranid conversion?
Dunk on 'em ultrasmurfs
Great job
Anyone else noticed the gun hand had its thumb swap sides
A great idea
How does he make the green stuff copies ? They look dope. Is he pouring them with liquid green stuff ?

Any tips to make green stuff casts?
Can you make a grey knight terminator conversion using primaris aggressor body
Any chance of you making brother Santodes from TTS?

It is a 2 part epoxy. Mix the parts and you can sculpt it some hours and then it hardens.
