The more dynamic pose of this one really sells it. I honestly like the heavier look of the imposed chest combined with the bloodbowl helmet more than the end product but still a very cool conversion. I hope more of your conversions in the future have these dynamic poses instead of just standing there menacingly
Thanks! That was a big break through I noticed too, and I'm going to try and keep it up going forward. I have a vision for this same warboss with his leg raised about to curb stomp some doomed marine which I want to try at some point
Would love to see you builds zenithal primed in the big reveal if the commissioner is ok with it. It always makes models look 10x better and easier to read
Thank you so much for adding or possibly having Closed Captions. I'm not deaf or anything but I often have difficulties hearing certain words or phrases and this helps a ton!
WAAAGH! This is by far my favorite build yet. It leans very heavily into the power and menace that all Orks of that size and style should exude. I do hope you make the next one of a similar taste.
I really enjoy the creativity of these models You always do a great job selling the ORK of the ork models! I do have to make a comment tho, or rather a suggestion, that the front plates are always kind of flat ORKS never have like perfectly form fitting pieces of kit, but something more rounded would make a little more sense, or have more plausibility on your next model. Like an upper chest and lower chest plate, kinda curved? Or maybe like bits of scrap in the shape of muscles on the chest plate to sell that ‘Meanest an’ Greenest’ Look You did a great job on this model of making it more curved!! I really like the work
When you were saying you had trouble with guns for Orks, what about Grots? It's becoming a pretty popular thing to have a Grot manning a gun on top of a Warboss, so how about trying that out?
This could be a updated version of Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, a Bad Moon Warboss special character that afaik hasn't been officially reprinted since 2nd editon 40k. Here's what it looked like (btw Mega Armor in 2nd ed used to be "power armor" sized not "terminator" sized.) 1.bp.blogspot.com/_iCR5sH1z_pk/TSBQBtvrKII/AAAAAAAAA68/t8K2HZwgHwM/s1600/nazdreg2.JPG
Any pointers on how to begin kitbashing? I know that buying alot of sprues is relevant, but which sprues do you use most from? And any pointers on getting them cheaper?
So, that's tough, because kitbashing is just expensive. The best advice I'd give is to try and plan out the kitbash as much as possible first, and then order the bits you need from a bits site like bitzbox. If you want to make one warboss you don't need a whole box of meganobz, for example, so it'll be cheaper. Also I wouldn't be ashamed to use recast sites.
I am kind of curious how one would even begin to charge for a conversion/kitbash like that, I mean do people pay a lump sum, do you see what bitz you end up using and then try to estimate it part by part plus labor? I mean if you wanted to recreate it you need like a dozen kits likely or take hours and hours looking through the individual bitz websites to find the right parts?
Yeah, I usually charge a flat rate based off what base kit plus parts I know for sure I'll use (by this point I have a good sense for it ahead of time). In this case though, it would've been basically impossible if I hadn't recasted so many of the parts myself: buying two defiler kits just for arms is otherwise crazy town.
@@kitbosh Interesting. And it makes sense. Appreciate the reply. I haven't been into Warhammer for..a while. I played it first in my teens with the 2nd Edition and had a small Ork Army as well as some Dark Angels, but Kitbashing was definitely part of what drew me into it. I bought a few Imperial Knight Sets (*cough* all of them) very recently and play on making my own versions with it. So I really dig your videos and bought some Green Stuff since it seemed a good idea to have some on hand.
This one was about $80, which looking back was completely underpriced. If I was to make this one again I'd probably charge in the $200-$300. That's pretty much a minimum for me to make over minimum wage. For conversions that require less work (like the ghaz one from a few weeks ago, or a megaboss) I'd charge less.
I would say he is way to big to make sense in the setting. Ghaz is the biggest known Warboss in 40k and he is only around half the size of this guy. An ork thats around the same size as Ghaz i mean sure.. But twice the size? No way..
I have immense respect for the work of all the hobbyists who work with Warhammer - sculptors, conversion masters, painters, etc. Although I myself would never have dared to sacrifice two miniatures to make one.
Something about this one doesnt sit well with me. Probably the fluff, but theres no warboss bigger than Ghaz, a killa kan might have been a better base here.
you should ask for photos of your commisions painted by your clients and make a video showing them
Indeed would be amazing to see the completed paint jobs
i second that notion, would be pretty great to see these beautiful models painted
Reminds me of the warboss from the first DoW game
Gorgutz 'ead 'unter
I always loved that dude, so orky looking
If dis git doesnt member the name o da biggest and best waaaghboss his 'ead is ganna find a place on my pointy stikk
Imagine this thing sprinting at you
WAAAAGGGHH
You’d just not exist anymore
A lasgun and love for the Emperor would be all I need! *splattered*
"Yes! to me!" - a death corp of krieg
Those claws are looking absolutely brutal.
The final product turned out incredible, great decision with the pose!

Oi, diz ‘uman knowz ORKZ!

GW take note, THIS is what we want from a warboss.
Can we get a line up of all these boyz side by side? I'm gonna guess your first biggest warboss is feeling like a shrimp compared to these new guys XD
Thank you so much for adding or possibly having Closed Captions. I'm not deaf or anything but I often have difficulties hearing certain words or phrases and this helps a ton!
No problem! I always write out scripts so I just copy paste and have youtube auto sync them.
I would krump to see this painted!
You're one of the best converters on youtube - always a joy to see what you've made.
I love your idea of the way you can start and finish kits and change the way it looks .
This is my favorite conversation ever
If I ever commission you that’s basically what I’ll want
Those claws look so fucking cool tho, texture from the sizeup looks perfect
Fantastic looking Warboss, he looks dead Killy! WAAAAAAAAGH!
I’m just about to start my own Mek Lord mini 😃👍🏼
I love when ever I feel like orks I can go to your channel and see all your ork warbosses . Your work is so good.
How loud would it be if he yelled WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
a fun powerclaw part might be a lego excavator bucket. maybe one of the lego technik ones.
Your builds just keeps getting better and better.
Thank you for providing this awesome content!
Cool! With 3D printing you can have Ork heads of any size!
This warboss is my favourite

This build is MUCH better than the last one. Keep it up
this is my favorite of your warbosses yet

I have to try to build something like this, he came out amazing!
this guy is b-e-autiful, might be my favorite you've made yet
Awesome conversion!
how about an *Ultra Mega Armoured Ork Warboss* Conversion? a Gork/Morkanaught sized Warboss

this is one awesome Mega armored Ork Warboss
Thanks!
Perfect bad moonz warbirds
Definitely ur best yet!
This looks amazing
You should try to kitbash a thunder warrior!
Da Dreadboss!
Well there it is, as promised.
Kitbash a Zoat from 40K.
I love your builds and I like that Orks head where do we find those???
Amazing
Masterpiece
Where do you get all of these bits?
A combination of ebay, dedicated bit sites, recast sites, and molding and casting copies of my own.
@@kitbosh thanks
This is the best one
What does your process look like for moulding/casting to enlarge parts?
When you were saying you had trouble with guns for Orks, what about Grots? It's becoming a pretty popular thing to have a Grot manning a gun on top of a Warboss, so how about trying that out?
Do you take orders? That is so cool!
Bruh he’s no even a war boss anymore if the deff dread feet look small on him 🤣
What about kaldor draigo in dreadknight or kaldor in skale like abbadon/guillimab

Hey, love your work, I was wondering, what kit is the armour plate from at 3:46?
I think it is for the defiler kit but I’m not to sure
The rounded one? It's from the reactor on an imperial knight, I think.
