By True Guru's grace, He is obtained. ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕਾਗਦੁ ਕਾਟੀਲੇ ਗੂਡੀ ਆਕਾਸ ਮਧੇ ਭਰਮੀਅਲੇ ॥ A boy gets paper, cuts it into a kite and flies it in the sky. ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਚਾ) ਕਾਗਜ਼ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕਟ ਕੇ ਗੁਡੀ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਗੁਡੀ) ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਡਦੀ ਹੈ, (हे त्रिलोचन ! देख। लड़का) कागज लाता है। उसकी गॅुडी काटता है उस गॅुडी व पतंग को आसमान में उड़ाता है। ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਸਿਉ ਬਾਤ ਬਤਊਆ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਡੋਰੀ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੧॥ While talking with his mates, he keeps his mind in the string. (ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ) ਯਾਰਾਂ-ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ) ਉਹ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਚਿਤ (ਉਸ ਗੁਡੀ ਦੀ) ਡੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ।੧। साथियों के साथ गप्पें भी मारता जाता है। पर उसका मन (पतंग की) डोर में टिका रहता है। 1। ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਬੇਧੀਅਲੇ ॥ Pierced with the Lord's Name, my mind is so stuck in it, (ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗਲਾਂ ਭੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੇਰਾ) ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ वैसे ही मेरा मन परमात्मा के नाम में बेधा हुआ है। ਜੈਸੇ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਲਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਮਾਂਡੀਅਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ as is of the goldsmith, in his gold craft. (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ) ਸੁਨਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ ਚਿਤ (ਸੋਨਾ ਘੜਨ ਵਿਚ) ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। (हे त्रिलोचन !) जैसे सोनियारे का मन (औरों से बात-चीत करते हुए भी। कुठाली में पड़े हुए सोने में) जुड़ा रहता है।1। रहाउ। ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕੁੰਭੁ ਭਰਾਈਲੇ ਊਦਕ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਆਰਿ ਪੁਰੰਦਰੀਏ ॥ The young girl in the city brings pitcher and fills it with water. ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ!) ਜੁਆਨ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ (ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣਾ) ਘੜਾ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ (ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ) (हे त्रिलोचन !) जवान लड़कियाँ शहर से (बाहर जाती हैं) अपना-अपना घड़ा उठा लेती हैं। पानी से भरती हैं। ਹਸਤ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਕਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਗਾਗਰਿ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੨॥ She laughs, makes merry and converses, but keeps her mind fixed in the pitcher. ਹਸਦੀਆਂ, ਖੇਡਦੀਆਂ (ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ) ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ) ਚਿਤ (ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ) ਗਾਗਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।੨। (आपस में) हसती हैं। हसीं की बातें व और कई विचारें करती हैं। पर अपना चिक्त अपने-अपने घड़े में रखती हैं। 2। ਮੰਦਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਦੁਆਰ ਦਸ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗਊ ਚਰਾਵਨ ਛਾਡੀਅਲੇ ॥ The cow is let loose to graze, out of the mansion, which has ten gates. (ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ!) ਇਕ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਗਊਆਂ ਚਰਾਉਣੀਆਂ) ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (हे त्रिलोचन !) एक घर है जिसके दस दरवाजे हैं। इस घर में से मनुष्य गऊएं चराने के लिए छोड़ता है; ਪਾਂਚ ਕੋਸ ਪਰ ਗਊ ਚਰਾਵਤ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਬਛਰਾ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੩॥ The cow grazes five miles away, but keeps her attention fixed on her calf. ਤਾਂ (ਚਰਵਾਹਾ) ਪੰਜ ਕੋਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਊਆਂ ਚਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਗਊਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ) ਚਿਤ ਵੱਛੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।੩। ये गाएँ पाँच कोस पर जा के चरती हैं। पर अपना चिक्त अपने बछड़े में रखती हैं (वैसे ही दस-इन्द्रियों वाले इस शरीर में से मेरी ज्ञान-इन्द्रियां शरीर के निर्वाह के लिए काम-काज करती हैं। पर मेरी सुरति अपने प्रभू-चरणों में ही है)। 3। ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਤਿਲੋਚਨ ਬਾਲਕੁ ਪਾਲਨ ਪਉਢੀਅਲੇ ॥ Says Namdev, listen, O Tirlochan, the child is laid in the cradle. (ਭਗਤ) ਨਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਗਲ) ਸੁਣ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ) ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਘੂੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੂਝੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ (ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿਤ ਉਸ ਬਚੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਦੀ ਹੈ। हे त्रिलोचन ! सुन। नामदेव (एक और दृष्टांत) कहता है- माँ अपने बच्चे को पालने में डालती है। ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਾਜ ਬਿਰੂਧੀ ਚੀਤੁ ਸੁ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਰਾਖੀਅਲੇ ॥੪॥੧॥ Within and without engaged in work she (Mother), keeps her thought in her child. (ਸੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਪ੍ਰੋਕਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਰਖਣ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਦਸੀ ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿਤ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।੪।੧। अंदर-बाहर घर के कामों में व्यस्त रहती है। पर अपनी सुरति अपने बच्चे में रखती है। 4। 1।
