    Friedrich Nietzsche says: “The concept of greatness entails being noble, wanting to be by oneself, being able to be different, standing alone and having to live independently".

    Not only do I agree to be yourself, not follow societies rules, etc, I also lived it. However, as good as it may sound in theory, when you still have to deal with the rest of the world and what THEY think is the way to live, is when problems arise. If you are on your own, you are fine, but if you have children, (just for one example, there have been many things), and have to deal with schools and all that goes with having children, prepare for constant battle. The more you have to deal with the world and its RULES, the more battles you will be fighting. I have never given in, but I have paid a price to be myself.

    An interesting, informative and insightful video. However, I respectfully would like to point out that what the narrator is referring to as jealousy is actually envy. Jealousy involves at least three people like a child who is jealous of his sibling who gets more attention from their mother but envy is an emotion experienced towards another person who has a quality or characteristic that one lacks such as the other person is more intelligent or talented or richer and the healthy solution is to have gratitude and learn from the other person or try to become like him rather than devalue or downplay the other person’s good quality. I hope this helps and clarifies the difference between jealousy and envy

      I feel like adding to your explanation as I definitely also agree with you. I would just like to add that in reality JEALOUSY is a feeling experienced by people who have had something, for example "attention" or "special regard or treament" that was used to be almost always consistently given to him or her on a certain degree but was suddenly given either partially or wholly to another individual for whatever reason. It is usually accompanied with a feeling of remorse and anger. Whereas, ENVY is an excruciating feeling, like in the pit of your stomach, a feeling of like an injustice was done unto you because, for example, you felt people were not created equal. There are super rich people and super poor people, or super beautiful people or super ugly people, super privileged or super under privileged people, and you want justice from all those which spells equality. An envious person doesn't have what others have as oppose to a jealous person who have something that others may have had been shared with or was totally given to others. SOLUTION: Focus on what you have and see the goodness of having it. Stay positive and be thankful 🙏 but most of all, be reminded that we are created in our Almighty Creator's Divine Image and comprises each part of Him which is valuable in our special way.

    Love this video. Sounds like what I want for myself.
    Small side-note though: Jealous is often mistaken with envy.
    Envy = team healty
    Jealousy = team toxic
    Envy is wanting something for yourself. It can work as an motivation to invest in the journey to get there.
    However, jealousy is about someone else having succes or impressive material possessions.
    The problem is that another person is "successful". This triggers insecurity about their self worth.

    I totally agree with his 5 lessons. But they are not really "lessons". They are character traits of certain people. What kind of people? Those people who have totally accepted themselves - the good as well as the bad. When that is achieved, those character traits appear just as trees appear in a forest. Reaching Self-acceptance is man's greatest challenge. However he achieved it, it is the reason he could do those things called lessons here. Without it he could have achieved none.

    I disagree with following your wildest dreams at any cost. If you have always wanted to be an artist and are instead an accountant, it would be quite foolhardy to throw away your consistent source of income for something that may not come to fruition.
    Most likely, you'll end up as a starving, miserable artist; not as romantic as it sounds. The satisfaction of having a full stomach will always override the joy one may feel over "at least trying".
    A much better option is to spend your free time practicing art until you are certain that it can provide a daily income. This will also prevent you from burning out and hating what you once loved.

    *Freedom* is the great reason people will not accept God, and yet God gives you freedom and power of such magnitude that you could not give it to yourself meaningfully. God gives you responsibility so that you may reclaim your power and value yourself. You cannot come closer to God unless you have this value. You cannot be a little crumb and go to God. God does not know you as a little crumb. God knows you as a magnificent creation. You cannot go to God all self-inflated with a big name tag saying, “I am a magnificent creation!” and be a little crumb inside, either. You must go to God as God made you, not as you made yourself.

    I disagree with one thing. In my opinion, the pursuit of money is time well spent.
    Pursuing money makes sense under Nietzsche's philosophy, because it's aligned with the Will to Power - power in this case being power over onself. Money is power, money is freedom, money grants the ability to do what you want to do. If you're a writer, maybe you don't need too much, but say you're an aspiring film-maker, that shit ain't cheap. Also, if you're good with your money, you can retire early or a take a month or two off now and then and spend a good chunk of your life not working for someone else at all.

The primrose path is always easier than the steep, thorny road. (Oh, yeah, and here's a tip: don't worry about the beaten horse; rather, use your "power to will" to help the downtrodden, destitute people in your community--IF you are driven to be "great.")

    If you take the message of Nietzsche outlined in this video seriously, then surely you wouldn't take any heed of this video and its painfully middle class/first world problem presentation?

      This video is absolute horse-shit. I haven't formally studied Nietzsche but surely one of the apparently best philosophers wasn't an irrational teen?

    The demons gave him knowledge and made him famous, but for what cost? Latter on his life the demons suffered him. Butter to cast the demons out and be free than acquire knowledge and fame.

      But no one can choose... Because it's the demons who decide to stay or leave

      @@pabloperez4063 no you have the right to cast the demons out, or else you are not of yourself. You have a free will and mind. So you are saying if I come and take over your house, you will just wait till I leave? When the west colonized a county, those countries fought back to be free. Just recently Barbados said enough to the British.
      If you want to cast out your enemies/demons, study what they strives of you.
      You may seek to be great by mischievousness, so stop being mischievous.
      You may enjoy sex, so get married instead of manipulating a women to sleep with them.
      You see something you like in the store, buy it instead of stealing it.
      Practice being righteous and the enemies/demons will flee from you, because righteousness is the opposite of their nature.

      @@rein29233 totally. Too many people have their doors kept shut. I think mainly is because of lack of self confidence.. not caring about, what other people think about perhaps an awkward choice u make.
      Guess We would conceretely have way less innovations and art, if the mind would have been shut down
