[Updated 2023] Snip and Sketch Windows 10 auto save folder. Find it in 1min. Remember to back up!!!

READ THIS!!!!!!!!!You have to back them up by yourself separately! Dont use it as a permanent saving folder for your screenshots. They are cache files. And thus they will be deleted eventually!
IMPORTANT YOU HAVE TO COPY PASTE SCREENCLIPS PICTURES TO SAVE THEM IN SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE SCREENCLIP FOLDER SEEMS TO BE CONSIDERED AS SOME KIND OF CACHE BY WINDOWS AND THUS WILL BE CLEANED UP (YES DELETED) AUTOMATICALLY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. You will lose all saved pictures after, let’s say 1 or 2 months maybe, if u don’t back them up somewhere else. I have no idea how to fix it or why Microsoft designed the whole thing this way.

Just search "screenclip" in C drive. Should still work.

*edit - it saves tiny photo thumbnail files and the actual files, as well as the .json I found it way easier to sort the files accordingly by doing two sorting factors: Group By > Size, and then separately Sort By > Date modified

Yea like i said in the description, Windows automatically cleans up these files from time to time. U have to back up anything u wanna keep.

For those who keep seeing "screenclipping" instead of "screenclip", just look for a third party screenshot tool lmao. It's difficult to find a solution in the internet for that. Personally, I use greenshot and everything you'll ever need is already there. Makes you wonder why windows couldn't accomplish such a simple task...

I'd say first, check ur system version. This should work for most of the Win 10 system. But for win 8 or win 11, i cant say for sure. Just search screenclip in C drive. It should work. But in case it didnt, well, then i have no idea.
