The owner of this poor dog does not deserve him! You were so gentle with him and you can tell he appreciated you making him feel so much better by the tail wagging. Too bad you have to give him back.
It did my heart so good just to see this little fellow wagging his tail after that huge mass was taken off it and that was BEFORE the final groom! He turned into such a cute doggy❤
Why is he so thin? They are not feeding him enough! His owner does not deserve this beautiful boy! So sad. Thanks for helping him again!! ❤❤❤
What a sweet-tempered dog, his tail wagging away even though it must have felt uncomfortable. He knew you were helping him. Thank God for the Damjans of this world !
Thank goodness you are able to put the dogs emotions ahead of the disgusting situation. And you still can think about checking that the blade is not too hot and then it’s clean etc. that Hass to help the dog mentally. You just did something that will always make me like an admire you. You didn’t realize it but you needed to cough and when you did you moved your head so that you did not cough in the dog ear. Very thoughtful.

Damjan, I have never heard you so angry and horrified at the condition this sweet dog is in. I know I would be angry too. In the UK we would report the condition of the dog to our RSPCA or SSPCA who deal with cruelty, neglect ie animal welfare. I am so glad Lucky has you to look after him and also be his voice. Lucky is so cute and he looks so relieved to have that stinking mass of hair away. Thank you for being there for Lucky, he is in your safe hands. The most caring action his 'owner' could take is to give Lucky up for rehoming with good people.

Maybe the owner needs to be told that a pet is for it's life time and not just for Christmas. ( I heard that somewhere?) they need to be told that they have a duty of care once they buy a pet!

Groomers should be allowed by law to seize a dog that is obviously ABUSED.

Here in the U.S. we don't seem to have these type of dogs.. I have yet to see one or meet one of these dogs in person..I guess they are popular in Europe..they look like beautiful dogs with a peaceful personality..must be a great family dog.
Yes Lagotto Romagnolo is a great family dog, very cute, always active and ready to play even when it's old! We had female Lagotto for 13 years (adopted!)
This breed of dog is knowing for finding truffles 😅, so they're digging and digging everywhere, even at home! 😂

When I was grooming our shop had a couple of”once a year dogs” if you get cross with the owner, maybe they don’t come back and the poor dog gets more neglected! You did right
You do the very best you can for the dog and encourage the owner to come back sooner!

Awsome job on this lucky dog. Lucky you made him look and feel very special once again. Dogs are very forgiving to those that don't treat them so well. Hope the pup is not sick, he is quite thin.

I always love to see a pet go back to their owner. But in this case, I truly believe this baby would be better off with another family 💜 It’s very obvious that this owner can not take care of him. That is very sad for both of them. Hopefully if he does go back to the owner, they appreciate what you’ve done and try to take care of this beautiful baby! He is a very sweet boy 💜💜

Appears was not abandoned in the usual sense of the word. But abandoned because the dog was NEGLECTED 😢 even though he had a home. Maybe he was fed and kept outside. Horrible 😢.

Did I understand that you groomed him 11 month ago. My dog is taken every 6 weeks to the groomer and brushed every day. Why do you keep a dog if you can’t take care of him as it should. Lucky there are you and your lovely wife.❤

I agree with all these comments. If he has an owner who brings him to Damjan then one supposes that this should be a good owner but if he reads this then I wonder how he lets his dog get into this state. He is neglected and where are the laws in Serbia about neglect. If the groom is free there is no excuse for thestate of this poor dog who must not go back to this owner. I pray he gets a good owner and that the vet reports his conditio. Welldone Damjan for your love and work with these dogs and hope this pwner reads this an feels guilty. I do so hope that he gets a new loving owner

He is not only matted, but has not been fed. Thus makes me so angry! The owners should never be allowed to have another dog. This sweetie should be removed to someone who truly loves her.
