UPDATE! In Zoom, when many people have their cameras on, you can "spotlight" certain people to take over the screen. "Spotlighting" does not seem to translate to RUclips when streaming. Instead the RUclips page switches to "speaker view" and will only show one speaker at a time. If you want multiple people to show up on screen in the RUclips video, they must be the only ones with their cameras on. Everyone else must have their camera off.
@@Gnosis2078 Oh wow - great question. I think so yes, but I wrote that 7 months ago, so I'm not 100% sure. It's a pretty easy thing to check though. Just get another person in a zoom meeting and a test live-stream. Then add both of you to a spotlight, and see what shows up on youtube

I don’t know if this might be of interest to you, but I just bought a new Panasonic Lumix GH 5II which has built-in tetherless live streaming capability. And their LUMIX Sync app has RUclips, Facebook, RTMP connection. Having a devil of a time though trying to get it to work. I’ll keep hacking away at it.
This was great! I am trying to configure my first webinar to sell a course. For registration, how would I set this up with Eventbrite and my Mailchimp, landing page etc...???? Hard to wrap my head around.
Once you're done scheduling the event on RUclips, make sure the video is "unlisted", then get the public link. This is the link you will you provide to Eventbrite. So that when someone buys a ticket, they are given the RUclips link. When advertising the show, you will be providing the Eventbrite link, so that people have to buy a ticket, to get access to the RUclips presentation of the Zoom show. Don't share the Zoom link with anyone who isn't a part of the presentation. So the path looks like this. Zoom connects to RUclips -> RUclips link connects to Eventbrite -> Eventbrite link is shared publicly.

Everything is ready in Zoom and scheduled, but the Go Live button in RUclips Studio is greyed out! Why would that be? How does it become blue and ready to click?
It sounds like you're all set, but Zoom and RUclips aren't actually connected yet. Once the meeting starts, you'll have to click "go live on custom streaming service" on Zoom. That should launch a screen on your browser that asks for info from RUclips. That info will be available in the stream settings on the RUclips page. Copy and past those in. That officially connects the two. After about 20 seconds your zoom meeting should appear in on the RUclips settings page, and the "go live" on RUclips button should activate. Anyway, that's my best guess about what you're dealing with. Good luck!
Great video. Very clear and easy to follow. Hats off! Thanks a lot. I have one question. What about after the live session is over, does RUclips automatically upload it to my channel, or what happens? Thanks in advance.
Hey there! That's the great thing about live streaming to RUclips. Now it's on RUclips! You don't have to do anything. When you're finished, it will live on your channel along with all of your other videos.

Yes you can! The option to stream will only show up on one of your zoom accounts. I think it shows up on the primary zoom account holder's dashboard. Besides that, you can continue using Zoom as normal.
Great video thank you. Question: Can i start the zoom days early just to prepare the streaming links and end the zoom, then on the day go to the youtube and click go live. Would that work?
Great question! I wouldn’t recommend it. I haven’t tried that exact scenario, but sometimes the zoom meeting and the RUclips stream key can get confused and you could end up troubleshooting right when you don’t want to be. I would just start the meeting well in advance, and hook up the stream, then “go live” when it’s ready to start.
Thank you for the video, super informative! Do you know how many RUclips streams can you have running at one time? For example, if a conference has multiple breakouts, etc? Thank you again!
Hey, great question! You can only connect one stream to one meeting at a time. If you do breakout rooms, I don't think there's anyway to stream them simultaneously. The feed to RUclips will probably just follow the host's screen. So wherever the host goes, that's what will stream to RUclips. If you find different information on this, let me know!
This was going really well, until I went back to zoom to start the meeting. under the 3 dots it does not give me the 'live on custom lives treaming service' and if I try to just use thje youtube one it says I don't have permission for this. Can anyone help?
Around 3:22 in the video, it shows you how to check your zoom settings to make sure that you're all set up to live stream to a custom live streaming service (even if it's RUclips). Did you check that and are you still getting the problem?
If I have a recurring meeting ID on zoom how to change streaming link every time. I am unable to broadcast on RUclips after first use of zoom meeting. The second time it doesn't stream live from previous meeting link on zoom.
I think I understand your issue. First of all, even though the Zoom meeting is recurring, you will need a new RUclips stream page for each new occurrence. Then when you launch the live stream for zoom you're going to get an error. The error page has a link that lets you re-enter the streaming info. Click that link. BUT before you re-enter the streaming error, go back to your RUclips stream page and RESET the stream key. Now that you have a new stream key, enter the info in again and it should work. Fingers crossed, good luck!
Great video! Cleared up so much confusion on my end. Thank you. One question, my student will be "running" the show. Will I need to set all of this up before she takes over or will she be able to access this when I make her host of the meeting in Zoom?
Great question! I think she should be able to access it as host (not co-host), but I'm not 100% sure if she doesn't need to be signed in as the account holder who's hosting the meeting. You can do a quick check by setting up a meeting, making her host, and see if she has the option to live stream. If she does, you're good to go. QUICK NOTE: If you have any trouble establishing the connection to RUclips. It's most likely the "stream key". Go into the RUclips settings find the link that says "stream key" and hit the big button that says "reset stream key". This should fix any connection issues. Good luck!
Hi! Great question. By "performers" I mean the people who will be a part of the zoom meeting. The people who you want to see on the screen. You'll send them the link to the zoom meeting. Your "audience", the people who will be watching, but not be on screen, will get the RUclips link.
If you leave the Zoom meeting, does the Livestream lose it's RUclips connection? I want to schedule for a week away, but of course I can't stay logged into the Zoom meeting that whole time.
When you schedule on RUclips in advance, you're not actually connected to the Zoom meeting yet. You don't connect the zoom meeting to the scheduled RUclips live stream page, until you're actually ready to stream.
??? Re: Comments in chat: Will I need to have a seperate monitor to view comments on RUclips while I stream assuming I am doing a slideshow on Zoom Screen Share???
I'm not 100% on this question because it depends on how you're screen sharing but I would recommend you use a second monitor even if you don't strictly need to - it will make your life a lot easier.
@@theaterengine9457 Thanks, I can just use my Mac as a second screen. I will practice with that set-up. Originally, I was thinking I was going to have to use OBS, but with Zoom now integrating with RUclips, it will be smoother I think.
Hey there, I think I know what's happening. From Zoom, you have four choices to go live - 1) Live on Facebook, 2) Live on Workplace Facebook 3) Live on RUclips, 4) Live on Custom Live Streaming Service. You need to choose NUMBER 4 - LIVE ON CUSTOM LIVE STREAMING SERVICE. If you choose number 3, you'll go live immediately. To schedule in advance, and control going live from the studio, you need to choose NUMBER 4. More info about that at 3:41 in the video - ruclips.net/video/7TJ93EZdmIg/видео.html
Hi, will the 'share screen' function on Zoom work when i go live on RUclips? This is the reason i was thinking of using Zoom and not just RUclips. It's a shame you can't see everyone who joins the Zoom call :(
Yes, the "share screen" function does work! And I believe you'll still be able to see the active speaker as a smaller window off to the side of the shared screen. Although you may not be able to see anyone else who has their camera on.
Thanks for this super helpful video. One question... I am hosting a meeting where I am the speaker and participants will only be able to send in questions and answers via chat. How do I set it up so that I do not have feedback? It seems either Zoom or YoutTube need to be muted since they are operating simultaneously. Thanks.
Yes, I do have an update! If you try to go live and you get the error screen that says, " Unable to live stream to the custom service. Update the Streaming URL and Streaming Key on the configuration page, then try again." You need to go into the settings page on RUclips for the scheduled Live Stream and RESET the STREAM KEY. Once the stream key is reset go back to the error page and hit the link that says, "Update the Streaming URL and Streaming Key". You should get the choices to enter the links again. Try again, and this time it should work.
@@theaterengine9457 I really apprecate your reply. 🙏 I am goiong live with a Chair Yoga class. In your video it looks like when you went live you lost the zoom screen dispay. Is that true? If so maybe it is better to use the RUclips option in zoom rather thatn the live stream so I can make a smoother transisition from my students that are on zoom the Live RUclips. Although I do not plan on interacting with anyone until after the class.
@@patriciabeckeryoga Hi Patricia, it probably just appeared that way in the video. You will not lose access to your Zoom display. I recommend doing a trial run - you can schedule a live stream, and make it private, so you can hook it all up just to see if it works.
@@theaterengine9457 Excellent ... to do a test in private setting. I did 2 tests in public setting. 😨 Thank you sharing your knowledge. Have a beautiful day 🌍🤩
If you go into the scheduled event on RUclips, try resetting the stream key. And then when you go live from Zoom, make sure you're selecting "go live on custom streaming" and not RUclips. Zoom tries to reuse settings when it can, and when it does, it launches a new RUclips video. If you reset the stream key, and make sure to select, "custom streaming service" it will force you to re-enter the streaming information. This should allow you to enter the scheduled event info and connect you. Good luck!
Your guests will join the the Zoom meeting the same way they would if you weren't streaming. Just make sure you're sending them the zoom link and not the RUclips link. People watching on RUclips cannot participate in the Zoom. They can only watch on RUclips and comment RUclips.
Great question! When you click "Live on RUclips" from the Zoom meeting, it automatically generates a new video URL on RUclips intended for you to begin streaming immediately. This doesn't allow you to create a RUclips link that you can share with your audience in advance. By using the "Schedule Live Stream" function on RUclips, you can promote the live stream with the URL you get. However, from Zoom, if you then click the "live on youtube" button instead of the "live on custom live stream" it will ignore the page you created and create a new one. Using the "live on custom live stream" is the only way to sync your meeting up with the Live Stream URL that you created in advance. Hope that answers your question!
You don't need subscribers to go live from Zoom. Just make sure you activate "going live" from RUclips 24 hours before you need to go live. You'll only need to do that once. As far as I know, you only need subscribers if you're going live directly to RUclips from a mobile device. As long as you're going live from a 3rd party app, like Zoom or OBS or something you don't.
Great question! I had to look around for this a bit. It's not totally clear. It's either the time zone associated with the account, or the time zone associated with the person setting up the page. In either case, it doesn't look like it can be changed. If it's associated with the account - then theoretically you could schedule a live stream even if you weren't in the time zone that you were going to be streaming in. If it reflects the time-zone of the person setting up the page, then I imagine you'd want to be in the same time zone you hope to be streaming in when you schedule it. If you find a better answer, let me know!
@@ThinkerHaistTV When you say "basic" do you mean the free account that only gives you 45 mins? I don't know for sure, but I assume that live streaming is not an option for the free account.
Okay, I have a partner in a biz venture. He runs private Zoom Meetings fairly regularly. He would like me to start creating "Walk Through" types of videos but actually stream the walk through in Zoom. Can I schedule a "Later Broadcast" in say My RUclips Channel, so we have time to discuss after meeting is one in Zoom before re-broadcasting on YT?
Super interesting question. I suppose you can live stream the "walk through" on RUclips, but have the RUclips page set to "private" or "unlisted" so that you're not broadcasting it until you've had a chance to review. Although in that case you could also just record the zoom walk through and upload it to RUclips later. That would allow for some editing.
I am running into a problem here. The first stream work fine but the second time Zoom is not asking me for the stream key anymore and goes directly to the key I initially set up. Do you know how can I get the Zoom settings again for custom streaming?
Hi, I don't know if you already solved this - but I think I've seen what you're talking about. Zoom will try to connect using the same stream key as before and then you'll get an error screen. On that screen is a really small link that basically allows you to try again. Then it'll reset to the screen where it asks you for the "stream key", "stream URL", and "public URL". BEFORE YOU ENTER THAT INFORMATION AGAIN - go to RUclips and RESET THE STREAM KEY. After it's reset, try again, and it should work. Good luck!
Thanks for asking! Are you looking on RUclips? And are you on a desktop or a mobile device or tablet? From RUclips on your desktop computer, click on the little camera icon with the + symbol in it, then click "go live". If you haven't activated live streaming you'll need to wait 24 hours, but if live-streaming is active you'll see a bright blue button in the top right that says "schedule live-stream". If you're on a mobile device or a tablet, RUclips treats live-streaming a bit differently and you may not have the option to schedule a live stream in advance. Although I'm not 100% sure... I'll have to check!
When i schedule my Zoom meeting, I require the participants to register,.. so in the meeting management menu, I only have the registration link,... will it work to use that link??
You should never have to use a Zoom link at all when setting up the live stream to RUclips. You have to click go "live" from the Zoom meeting once it's already started. This fires a browser window that will ask you for the RUclips links in order to sync with the RUclips page you've previously set up. If your meeting participants are registering in order to gain access to the zoom meeting, who's watching on RUclips? Are you certain you need to live stream to RUclips? Or are you needing them to register, in order to send them the RUclips link?
@@theaterengine9457 I would like participants to register for the Zoom meeting that will be streamed on RUclips. Does this affect the RUclips URL I send out publicly in advance of them registering, since some of those who register may just wish to view the meeting on RUclips? Hope that makes sense! Thanks.
@@jns8393 No, it won't impact the URL. Worst thing could happen is that people are confused as to where you want them to go. But as long as you're clear, that one link is to participate in the meeting and the other is to watch on RUclips, you're good to go!
UPDATE! In Zoom, when many people have their cameras on, you can "spotlight" certain people to take over the screen. "Spotlighting" does not seem to translate to RUclips when streaming.
I tried this but when I click Go Live 6:52 it went actually live in YT, anything i'm missing? Hope to hear from you. Ty
Thanks.
Right. When you link zoom to youtube, it sends you to the public viewing page. You'll want to mute that page to avoid feedback.
Thank you so much @TheaterEngine Do you have anymore updates since you last posted?
Yes, I do have an update! If you try to go live and you get the error screen that says, "
Unable to live stream to the custom service.

Hi, I followed all the steps, and i did successfully go live in the page, but not in the pres-scheduled event....not sure why??
If you go into the scheduled event on RUclips, try resetting the stream key. And then when you go live from Zoom, make sure you're selecting "go live on custom streaming" and not RUclips. Zoom tries to reuse settings when it can, and when it does, it launches a new RUclips video. If you reset the stream key, and make sure to select, "custom streaming service" it will force you to re-enter the streaming information. This should allow you to enter the scheduled event info and connect you. Good luck!
This was so helpful! If I just go live from zoom to RUclips. Where do i send people to view the performance - just the live tab on my channel?
In zoom do you have to be a Zoom Host for this to work? Can you be a cohost?
You have to be the HOST to initiate the live-stream.
i leanerned thank yoi
how do you live stream with zoom adding guests
Your guests will join the the Zoom meeting the same way they would if you weren't streaming. Just make sure you're sending them the zoom link and not the RUclips link. People watching on RUclips cannot participate in the Zoom. They can only watch on RUclips and comment RUclips.
@@theaterengine9457 thank you
Why not use the RUclips option?
Do I need PRO account for this ???
Hi, I wanted to ask do we need any subscribers to go live?
You don't need subscribers to go live from Zoom. Just make sure you activate "going live" from RUclips 24 hours before you need to go live. You'll only need to do that once. As far as I know, you only need subscribers if you're going live directly to RUclips from a mobile device. As long as you're going live from a 3rd party app, like Zoom or OBS or something you don't.
Is the time zone for your selected start time the time zone of the person doing the live streaming?
Great question! I had to look around for this a bit. It's not totally clear. It's either the time zone associated with the account, or the time zone associated with the person setting up the page. In either case, it doesn't look like it can be changed. If it's associated with the account - then theoretically you could schedule a live stream even if you weren't in the time zone that you were going to be streaming in. If it reflects the time-zone of the person setting up the page, then I imagine you'd want to be in the same time zone you hope to be streaming in when you schedule it. If you find a better answer, let me know!
So here I can reuse this same youtube live?
I'm not sure what you mean by "same youtube live"?
@@theaterengine9457 Does this not work for basic? I'm not seeing these settings.
@@theaterengine9457 Yep most likely have to do the latter... thanks for the reply
Good luck!
@@theaterengine9457 I was able to fix it by entering the stream key and all info in the special instructions box in Zoom settings and it worked!
I am having same issue please help me out

@@avanishgarkoti3197 enter the stream key and address in the zoom custom setting
I do not have a schedule stream button. Any ideas?
@@theaterengine9457 Thanks for replying!
