A few days ago at WonderCon, I sat down with Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan to talk about Dark Phoenix. During the wide-ranging conversation, they talked about how Dark Phoenix differs from previous X-Men movies, the fun of filming the X-Jet scene, who ruins the most takes, their favorite dramatic scenes in Dark Phoenix, if they’ve asked for an annual pass to Disneyland now that Fox and Disney have merged, what TV show they want to guest star on, what they collect, what film scared them as kids, and a lot more.
As most of you already know, the next X-Men sequel adapts the famous Dark Phoenix comics arc, with Sophie Turner filling the role of Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix while Jessica Chastain plays a mysterious (and perhaps otherworldly) character. The film also sees Michael Fassbender return as Magneto alongside Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Red Lotus (Andrew Stehlin), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Selene (Kota Eberhardt). Main players Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) return. Dark Phoenix arrives in theaters on June 7th.

Sophie and Tye I think play Cyclops and Phoenix perfectly. Now that Disney has merged with Fox, I hope they keep the current X-Men cast.
No revelations, but nice interview. I've liked Tye ever since "Mud." Sophie's green eyes are otherworldly....

The Witches movie freaked me out as a kid as well.
I'm very hopeful for this movie. I'm a huge X-Men fan, Storm is my fav. I'm also hoping Disney does a full re-boot and gives us a spot on comic book adaptation.
Mcu won't give you comic book accuracy mcu versions are barely accurate to the comics

They won't
Why? Some of them knew Singers skeletons but didn't care because money. Others bashed the MCU for years (mcavoy) and the less we say about Turners "acting" the better.

Tye is actually a great actor. Its just good to know we never have to see Sophie "I can't act but I have more Insta followers than Saoirse Ronan so that moron Simon Kinberg cast my untalented butt" Turner using her one facial expression to ruin these movies.
She's was a really bad choice for Dark Phoenix.
She looks better than Famke as Phoenix was.
christian schmidt agreed. Plus her cold smile she wears as she tears apart Magneto's helmet reminds me of the grin she wore after Sansa killed Ramsay. That smile scares the shit outta me. She's gonna rock it

@J Del they clearly took from Ultimate Marvel. But also in the comics, the Phoenix was always part of Jean after her friend Annie died. That scene symbolized the Phoenix will always be part of Jean. Half of it is a cosmic entity from space, the other half is just part of her organically.
