@@flydriveexplore LOL - if you do go with a Dukes Of Hazzard horn, maybe that can be your new intro sound (versus the harmonica - which is fine too, but...) : ) I keep threatening to install an old-time Ah-OOO-ga horn myself.
I grew up by the Brynglas tunnels. My older Brother claims to have run through them when they first opened to see his girlfreind on the other side of the town. I don't know whether he's spinning a yarn or what but you certainly wouldn't do that now. Great video but a terrifying drive for me.
Nice trip,if I’d known I would have waved to you I live right where the new bridge starts just after Major services. It looked fairly quiet in London never seen it that quiet when I’ve been there.Just going to watch the one on Flying to Inverness.
Really boils my blood seeing someone join the motorway at 45mph like that! Sunday drivers... That’s the longest motorway slip road in Wales which makes it even worse!
Yep, J37 has a long run-up, more of a launchpad than a slip road. That stretch of motorway to Newport was the only part that didn't have any speed cameras or road works. on the way back there is a 50mph section for over 40 miles leaving London.
I left UK five years ago for sunnier conditions. Travelled a bit and settled on Alanya Turkey. Don't mix it up with Antalya. That's 150km further West. No rain since April 6. Hard to imagine yes? Temps all year round? Take a look online please. However when you said it was 21c in London, that's our December temperature. Was unaffected by the recent fires thank goodness. Didn't get this far. One of the reasons I left UK was coz how expensive EVERYTHING became. I've just had my power bill for the last 6 weeks. I moved into my apt July 1 so the July billing missed me. It was 18.33.....thats not the time😷 that's what it works out in sterling. Water bills on average here are about 6 quid a month. I've had the Aircon blasting coz since June 28 temperatures are between 36c min and 48c max. So electric prices are amazing. But a person gets used to it. Beach at 6am return at 11am. Even then it starts at 28c. From 11am until 4pm its a scorcher. I stay indoors then or sit on a balcony. Petrol here is half the price of UK. Food is so cheap too. Huge melons for 60p and TASTY. It's no wonder so many Brits relocate here. Altho' I'm the Eastern European and Scandinavian end of Turkey. I'm paying rent of 280 quid a month for a two balcony two bedroomed apt. Swimming pool below. Lovely gardens with olive lime lemon avocado orange grapefruit trees. Looking at that rain? Prices etc I made the right decision. You make very interesting videos. Thx.
Although it's really expensive, people still move to London. We like visiting but could never live there again. Sound like you've got a nice life in Turkey, we could definitely do with some sun!
@@flydriveexplore cheers for your reply both and yes life is relaxed here. Turks I find are polite people. Before coming here I lived in Odessa Ukraine for three years. Odessians generally are not nice because of the Soviet legacy. That's my opinion. It was only marginally more expensive than Turkey so not much. But it had cold weather in January and February. Brrrrr! I worked in London on different projects. As a tourist it's fab but working and travelling within it is a different matter. All the best both. Keep up the good work
I live near the M4 at Swindon. What a limited video. If you are going to do a video of a drive along the M4 next time try making note of ALL the junctions along the way!!!
Another suggestion is you can display the total distance to be covered, current speed and how much more distance to go and the name of the intermediary places that come enroute. Really enjoyed the video and eagerly looking forward to more such videos. Keep them coming. Happy journey
Driving to London? Oh No! Well, you picked a nice quiet day for it and were within a mile and a half of my place at one point (won't say which point) If only you'd said. 🫖
@@flydriveexplore Sounds good, but M4 closures and adjacent roadworks in Slough and Windsor make for a few traffic jams. Nice to see my favourite M-way (when driving E-W 😁)
I suppose there are some worthwhile things to do in big cities like London, but going to them is my perception of h*ll. I'm much more partial to rural life and appreciate it even more when coming home from a trip like that. I had no idea what the freeways are like in England, but it doesn't appear much different from the USA. I'm glad traffic wasn't too bad that day. I love museums but not enough to make reservations and tolerate big city traffic.
We've driven quite a lot in the US and your right, the main roads aren't that much different. I actually learnt to drive and passed my driving test when working in London back in the 80s

Thanks for this. I live in West Wales and have always wanted to drive into Central London. This is invaluable footage. Da iawn!!
Glad it was helpful!
We're coming to England and Wales next month from the USA. I've found your videos very helpful...thanks for putting them up.
Thanks, hope you have a good time.
My dad had a custom of always honking in tunnels (rather than holding one's breath) - and so I often do now as well. : )
The horn on our new car isn't up to it. It's a bit pathetic, we have to fit some Dukes Of Hazzard horns.

Hello and thank you for posting this nice video. It will be really good if you can also share with us what car you drive.

It's probably quicker to run through it than drive these days.
Done the m4 on Saturday to Lego land Windsor. What a soul destroying drive lol 😂. Love the videos 👍
Not the best drive but as long we are moving. Yes, the M4 isn't the classic driving road. thanks for watching.👍

Tourist areas of London were busy but just off those, it was still very quiet.
You passed my old flat, London was the greatest city in the 80's, how you lived in Porthcawl is the real mystery
We'll in the 80's I did live in London, went there after leaving school. It was where I actually learnt to drive.
Ohh...the grey sky !! Lol. Now you're making me feel like driving in Wales !! Lol.👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶😀😆💞
Yes, we can have grey skies for weeks!
@@flydriveexplore 😅😀😆🤣Oh...man ! Sigh ! Lol. I am spoiled by California's blue sky & nice weather ,I guess ! Lol. Haha.

Marcus what dash cam is that....it is super sharp and I need one.
The reason it was sharp, we used an iPhone mounted on the dashboard and not a regular dashcam.

Traffic was definitely quieter than usual. This was a Sunday but walking around the city on Monday and Tuesday, it was much quieter on the roads.
