Jozef is doing Jiu Jitsu to everyone. He's not always bigger, faster or stronger. He's just smarter right now. He answers every position very well. Great job by Langaker on the body-lock escape. Even if no submission, the match usually stalls there. It looked a little concerning for a minute but he got it done and kept the match exciting.
This you can see that he’s comfortable in every position and understands he needs to peel the layers to get to the periphery rather than just spamming passes over and over again. Using intuition to win as opposed to using random techniques In succession.
@@jvianwelch5228 they put all top guys in one side and taza in the other side. Also, Davis Asare should've been on taza's side of the bracket but he was also in the other side.
Man Jozef is seriously sky-rocketing, and he's only 19 ??? the fuck, dude came out of nowhere man. Started training essentially during Cxvid, its gonna really interesting where he takes this in the next few years, could easily be ADCC champ if he keeps this pace.
He started training way before that. I think I met Jozef right after I got my blue when he was either orange or about to get it his orange. That's one of the last stops for kids so he had been training a while. He was pretty good even back then. Schooling people twice his age. Then he hooked up with Craig Jones and them and now look at where he is at.
Probably was training for a bit before and just really went all in on it during covid times, either way, impressivily fast progression and results @@Tom_Ciccone
That pass to mount at 3:20 reminded me of every time I try to play a specific guard or do a specific sweep against one of our higher belts. Instant regret
Jozef is a pretty strong wrestler; which is why I assume Langaker sat guard. Would've loved to see the wrestling match up because we just don't know how that would have turned out. But agree with you that if Langaker was able to secure a sweep and begin passing sooner Jozef would not have had fun time with it.
Fun match to watch. Chen and J-Rod you would think would be great training partners but there wasn't that much footage of them rolling together at b-team.
not often to be able to spot a camel at such a distance - also goes to show about Craig saying that it feels like you should be able to sweep him, but you can't then he passes
Craig needs to get Chen up in his toe snatch finish because he had it dead to rights when they began going into 50/50. When he trapped his arm while on his back, I thought he was going to get the strangle.
What would've happened if Tommy got the submission in the last second?? the refs forgot to start the timer in the last 4 seconds, and they went on like that for at least 10 sec..
Coaches should be banned from "ringside". It is always annoying to see a coach (in this case practically crawling onto the mat) driving the fighter like a remote control human.
Always hate it. When people walk off mats with shoes off, then go back on the mat, etc. Sometimes people go off the mats to restroom with shoes off then back on. Some people are filthy. I've even seen multiple blackbelts do it over the years.
Let's go Jozef. Another technical masterclass against a veteran. Can't wait to see his development through to adcc 2024.

Chen looking like a young 80's heartthrob
That's exactly how/why Craig Jones picks his junior members.
The kid has a constant "blue steel" face
A young Don the dragon Wilson
Langaker looking like a gnome
Jozef beat Mateuz, Langaker and Taza in one day. Let that sink in.
Also. Adcc is being incredible biased towards new wave
I wouldn’t say that, the proof is right there
damn what!

Wow great match. Congrats on the win Jozef, consistently improving with every performance.
to pass Tommy's guard is incredible, Tommy is a savage but look at Jozef seamless passing
Chen is quickly becoming my favorite grappler to watch
brother of Chan?
He’s so technical. He had a great showing at Quintet too.
100% looked great at AIGA too
tony chen?
Man that’s impressive. Congrats to JC, from random teenage hyper-enthusiast to beating a seasoned Viking.
Him, Jrod and Nicky Ryan are the best JJ of B team after Craig. Amazing match.
What a box in the background

Passing Langaker's guard straight to mount is crazy
I just started watching jozef chen since I watched the quintet posted the other day, his style is very entertaining
Same. Algorithm doing good work.
That was a badass back escape!
Just waiting on Craig Jones' video talking about this match 😂
Beating someone like langaker is quite an accomplishment, He is one of the best in the world.
Really makes you think about how just good Izaak really is at this point. Amazing day for Jozef.
Both brown belts btw 🥴
Has 10kg and 10 years on him that's a massive strength and size advantage
Tommy’s passing at the end was really good. Match could’ve been totally different if he passed like that for five minutes straight.
exactly

BTeam in the House! Josef with the Tripod passing pressure!!!
Never doubt the power of the mullet.
Dominant performance by Jozef but gotta say that was also a slick escape by Tommy from the body lock, starting at 4:44. Great match
As good as this match was, I was very impressed by that escape.
Great form on display! The guys grappling are ok too.
Beautiful jiu-jitsu displayed by both athletes. What an exciting match!
Absolutely blown away. Can't believe he beat Tommy Langaker. Jozef is on another level.
WOW! Jozef on the rise, nice bit of sportsmanship at the end too.
I think Langaker fumbled this one, why did he play guard in the beginning when he is clearly more capable of winning on top?
Chen's wrestling was on point and he's a great scrambler
Tommy is not a wrestler
Phenomenal.
What scored Chen the 3 points at 4:19? Is it cause of how long he was holding mount for or is there something else I’m missing lol
tommy escaped mount at 4mins, then chen re-took mount, so got 3 points again
Fun match to watch. Chen and J-Rod you would think would be great training partners but there wasn't that much footage of them rolling together at b-team.
Pretty shocked to see Jozef pass Langaker's guard!
Wow... Absolute fire match
thanks for the early uploads flo ! appreciated
Precise mount timing on points 🤯
This kid is special!!!
I wanna see Chen vs Kade Ruotolo after seeing this.
I always love Langaker matches. Hope he gets the invite to ADCC. One little mistake in this match and Jozef capitalized on it brilliantly.
ADCC 2024 is so going to be 🔥!
amazing Jozef Chen !!!
Who is the sloot in the back?
my mom
why does he get 3 points at 04:10
???
2:43 cool entry
Thanks for filming this with a potato flo!
Very nice run… excited to see what he’ll do at the adcc championships.
Chen is so good for his age
Very good match would be interesting with no time limit
How does the ref give a stall warning for Chen when he’s mounted looking for an arm triangle. Adcc rules don’t respect the martial art of jiu jitsu
Almost as weird as seeing Haisam get mount taken from him at Quintet lol
So the winner of this get an ADCC 24 invite? Do each of these trials have 1 winner per weight class?
I believe that is the case
@@kenn3250 Craig explained it on his latest video.

Super talented, very likable guy! Anyone know where he's actually from? I've heart China, Taiwan, South Africa, Germany?

Why dont they use larger mats jeezus

My name's Joezef Chen and I relentlessly pass to my opponent's left to create passing pressure. Weirdly effective against a world class grappler.

Langaker in the thumbnail looks like mini-Khabib/Habullah after a cycle of bomba
I still want to see 10-15 point leads be an auto win in BJJ comps
Except it's too easy to rack up a bunch of points in ADCC once you secure the back.
Can still get caught in a sub.
At this point it's not really the 'European trials' is it...
Its Europe, middle east and African trials.
Poor Langaker... he is so good, but always the brides maid and never the bride.
Langaker can't do collar and sleeve guard in no-gi so no there was never any threat
Jozef didn’t try even once.
shoutout china
