@@ElectroLyghtnyn20 i think if next class had more seasons to explore esme's mental health it could have 1. tried to redeem her and 2. been a good opportunity to showcase mental health besides depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. characters like luke are awful because they're just shit people, but esme was dealing with significant trauma that the show didnt explore properly, in my opinion anyway.
Literally Imogen and Fiona were the best, healthiest, and cutest couple. Their break up reason was stupid. Like they kept Mo and Marisol together but Fiona and Imogen. SMH.

It was all Emma being the wrong one when it came to Chris, so all those comebacks in the class were hilarious! She led him on sooo many times, even when Liberty was trying to have her chance with him.

While I'm aware that Maya and Cam are problematic, they are one of my favourites (just yesterday I was rewatching part of season 12 because of them). HOWEVER, it was problematic on both parts. Yes, Cam could not open up but he tried a lot, whereas it could have been prevented by him going home and seeking help from his family, which Maya convinced him not to do, for instance.
I think I’m the only one who didn’t like Sav & Holly J together . They weren’t bad together but their wasn’t any chemistry and they weren’t looking for anything long term in their relationship they only dated to pass the time in senior year . They remind me of Dan and Blair from Gossip Girl and they were the blueprint for Clare and Drew
If I’m not mistaken I heard that if Andrea Lewis (hazel) didn’t leave degrassi then her and drake(jimmy) would have been end game but she left the show cause they did her character bogus but I LOVE HAZEL AND JIMMY their one of my favorite couples
I love them but they actually didn’t last that long both times. In the first iteration he breaks up with her for not being fun while her stepdad has cancer lol. Then he steals said stepdads laptop and gaslights her. The second time they get together he immediately gets arrested and expelled. They break up again so Sean can join the army lol.
Honestly, at 38:27, I thought Drew and Becky was weird cause remember Becky used to date Adam and Adam was Drew's brother. If I was Drew, I wouldn't date my brother ex-girlfriend.

I’m so glad I’m not alone with shipping Claire and Drew. They physically gave me butterflies. The way Claire made a fake dating profile and Drew knew, omg the tension they had!!! I lived on that. I wish they stayed together.
ellie and sean were one of my favorite couples. I dont exactly think they were meant to stay together but they were what eachother needed at the time with Ellie dealing with her mother being an alcoholic she needed someone to rely on and sean was that person. season 3 was my favorite season okay I'm sorry for the long comment that might not make much sense
Yeah tbh though I didn’t agree with everything else, this was the only decision that actually made me question your judgment ... they actually had more plots/development than most of the other couples that were around back then so I don’t how you didn’t remember them ... they also were pretty healthy and unproblematic and complimented each other well.

How can she say Sean and Elli weren’t even a couple. They lived together and he helped her get away from her abusing mom when she burned their kitchen down. They were low key problematic but I was a strong shipper.
Elli and Jessie (news paper guy) were absolutely an official couple too lol. He cheated on her with that Caitlin Ryan girl. I didn’t like them together anyways tho lol.
I liked Zoe and grace too but they can’t be yearbook bc first of all grace is straight and had zero sexual feelings for grace and second Zoe was really problematic and ruined maya and zigs relationship to get back at grace when she was honest and told her she didn’t like her like that. I will say as a friendship they are yearbook but as relationship they go into toxic for me because they kind of dated because grace tried to be gay but ultimately they are better as friends
Grace & Zoe had Paige & Alex energy but Grace didn’t like Zoe like that she definitely valued her friendship but Zoe kissed her in Don’t Look Back she didn’t look like she liked it and she didn’t smile . Grace was leading Zoe on too and after they hooked up she confessed she was straight but I’m glad Zoe found Rasha they were a cute healthy relationship

Definitely bittersweet because Becky had to go through a lot because of her Christian homophobic/ transphobic parents didn’t approve her relationship and then that one point when Adam got jealous of Becky hanging out with that one guy on her Florida vacation trying to hack her social media lol
No eclare was toxic at first but then they became better people later on in the relationship especially Eli, so Eli and Clare should be in yearbook, and Clare and drew they didn’t even love each other and part of me believes they just used each other cause they couldn’t be with Eli or Bianca . Even the cast believe that eclare was the most epic and should always be endgame also I believe this relationship later on gave Eli redemption that he needed cause he did become a healthy better person. Like when Clare was pregnant he was there and after the miscarriage too ❤️❤️
Respectfully, I disagree. At the end of their relationship, dude had cheated on her. I think Clare and Drew is so good because they started out as friends. There was also a bit of school rivalry there when Drew beat Clare. Drew was able to cheer up Clare while she was in the hospital.

Eli and Clare are way too toxic. With Eli driving his Hearst into a wall - manipulating her. Then she brings up his ex in her angry monologue lol at the Above the Dot. He writes that horrible play about her and tries to ruin her relationship with Jake. Then they are on track in Season 12. But she wasn’t understanding of Eli’s boundaries of witnessing Cam. Then later in season 13, he cheats on her. She breaks up with Eli over voicemail and immediately has sex with Drew (using Drew tbh) without even making sure she was over Eli. Then the drama with the baby and calling Clare a whore... like OMFG!!!!
I have watched this show way too many times but this video makes me want to rewatch it again but I don’t know if I can mentally and emotionally go through JT‘s death again😭
am I the only one who felt bad for maya tho? Like First cam killed himself which made her worry about all her future relationships everytime they did one thing wrong and she is constantly having family and friends get into real bad accidents or near death situations...Like every other episode I was like damn girl you had a bf who killed himself you have a boyfriend who had family problems that lead him to do drugs and hurt himself intentionally you eventually start dating the kid you had a crush on before cam who was part of a gang who was dating a girl who was crazy and tried to harm him your best friend nearly dies in a bus crash her sister had a drug addiction her other best friend needed a lung transplant she suffered depression like damn this girl was going through it

Man, Dave's song at the end, what a throwback! I love Eli and Clare together, but I can see why they weren't yearbook status. But it wasn't entirely Eli's fault. First of all, Eli was bipolar so he wasn't mentally ok when he crashed his car. Second of all, Clare got upset when Eli was showing no emotions after their break-up because unknowingly to her, Eli was on meds and when he finally started to pursue her again, Clare blew him off. Third of all, Clare was just problematic already. She started to fall for Drew, while she was still dating Eli and tried to hook with him after her break-up with Eli. She also never bothered to check who the father of her baby was and just assumed that Drew was the father. Whenever Clare never got her way, she made a big deal about it. In season 11, when Katie didn't give Clare a position on the school newspaper (because she went overboard on the page limit and told Katie that she didn't know what she was doing), she asked Sav to help Clare get the position. I'm not saying Eli and Clare were perfect, but I'm saying that Eli had far better character development than Clare.
IT'S DIZZLE! REACHING WIZZLE AND CIZZLE! I totally forgot about the newspaper debacle. Clare's speech at Above the Dot did make for a very good offensive strategy during the football game though.

I was never an Eli and Claire fan and they just got more and more toxic as the show went on so claire and drew were a nice change of pace in my opinion. My favorite claire relationship was her and Jake tho because he brought her down to earth the most. Then they became step siblings and I had to drop that ship real quick lol. Fiona and Imogen and Maya and Zig were always my two favorite relationships

Maybe I need to rewatch. I don't recall her starting the relationship to make herself straight. I think she liked Winston as a person and, thus, thought they should date. Her realization of herself didn't happen until the relationship was already established.
I think it was kind of a mix if I’m remembering right. She started dating him because she liked him as a person but once she realized she was gay she tried to force herself to be straight and stay in that relationship which led her to have a very bad coping mechanism
(Before watching) most of Allis relationships are very satisfying aside from Johnny. They built up those relationships nicely so I hope they’re high lol

Darcy and Peter were problematic because of how they became a couple. Let's not forget that while Darcy was still with Spinner she was trying to be a good Christian but started taking sexy photos for a guy online. N he was paying for them. M she allowed Peter to take these photos! So Peter ended up going back to his bad ways and sent the pics to Spinner. Then Spinner broke up with Darcy for said photos. She claimed she knew the guy when she didn't n he came to her school n followed her home! The only reason I wouldn't put them in get a lawyer would be because Peter tried to be supportive with her going through getting drugged n assaulted. Edit: Darcy wanted to have both worlds. She wanted Spinner to go further with her n wanted to be sexy. She wanted her cake n to eat it too

No eclare was toxic at first but then they became better people later on in the relationship especially Eli, so Eli and Clare should be in yearbook, and Clare and drew they didn’t even love each other and part of me believes they just used each other cause they couldn’t be with Eli or Bianca . Even the cast believe that eclare was the most epic and should always be endgame also I believe this relationship later on gave Eli redemption that he needed cause he did become a healthy better person. Like when Clare was pregnant he was there and after the miscarriage too ❤️❤️
Respectfully, I disagree. At the end of their relationship, dude had cheated on her. I think Clare and Drew is so good because they started out as friends. There was also a bit of school rivalry there when Drew beat Clare. Drew was able to cheer up Clare while she was in the hospital.

Eli and Clare are way too toxic. With Eli driving his Hearst into a wall - manipulating her. Then she brings up his ex in her angry monologue lol at the Above the Dot. He writes that horrible play about her and tries to ruin her relationship with Jake. Then they are on track in Season 12. But she wasn’t understanding of Eli’s boundaries of witnessing Cam. Then later in season 13, he cheats on her. She breaks up with Eli over voicemail and immediately has sex with Drew (using Drew tbh) without even making sure she was over Eli. Then the drama with the baby and calling Clare a whore... like OMFG!!!!

Man, Dave's song at the end, what a throwback! I love Eli and Clare together, but I can see why they weren't yearbook status. But it wasn't entirely Eli's fault. First of all, Eli was bipolar so he wasn't mentally ok when he crashed his car. Second of all, Clare got upset when Eli was showing no emotions after their break-up because unknowingly to her, Eli was on meds and when he finally started to pursue her again, Clare blew him off. Third of all, Clare was just problematic already. She started to fall for Drew, while she was still dating Eli and tried to hook with him after her break-up with Eli. She also never bothered to check who the father of her baby was and just assumed that Drew was the father. Whenever Clare never got her way, she made a big deal about it. In season 11, when Katie didn't give Clare a position on the school newspaper (because she went overboard on the page limit and told Katie that she didn't know what she was doing), she asked Sav to help Clare get the position. I'm not saying Eli and Clare were perfect, but I'm saying that Eli had far better character development than Clare.

I was never an Eli and Claire fan and they just got more and more toxic as the show went on so claire and drew were a nice change of pace in my opinion. My favorite claire relationship was her and Jake tho because he brought her down to earth the most. Then they became step siblings and I had to drop that ship real quick lol. Fiona and Imogen and Maya and Zig were always my two favorite relationships

Maybe I need to rewatch. I don't recall her starting the relationship to make herself straight. I think she liked Winston as a person and, thus, thought they should date. Her realization of herself didn't happen until the relationship was already established.
I think it was kind of a mix if I’m remembering right. She started dating him because she liked him as a person but once she realized she was gay she tried to force herself to be straight and stay in that relationship which led her to have a very bad coping mechanism

Let's not forget that while Darcy was still with Spinner she was trying to be a good Christian but started taking sexy photos for a guy online. N he was paying for them. M she allowed Peter to take these photos! So Peter ended up going back to his bad ways and sent the pics to Spinner. Then Spinner broke up with Darcy for said photos. She claimed she knew the guy when she didn't n he came to her school n followed her home! The only reason I wouldn't put them in get a lawyer would be because Peter tried to be supportive with her going through getting drugged n assaulted.
