Jack, I disagree with your attitude towards stock tanks. I have one and I use it year after year for my new laying hens. I also use it as a chicken hospital if one falls ill. I paid 50$ for mine from TSC because it was bent to hell. Warmest regards!
Ad far as stock tanks go, they work great but I would not get a new one. I have one probably 30 years old and I used it this year for chick's. Check in with older farmers in your area for old tanks.
I watched your build video years ago and use these for my chickens and turkeys. They work great. I zip tie on a lid to keep the cats out. I use stock tanks to grow veggies. They are to valuable to use for baby chicks.
I am glad you put the caveat about it only being April. If it snows, again, I am blaming you. First, you talk about it being spring and now you're taking the snow blower off of the tractor. You are tempting fate.
We bought a big stock tank from tractor supply when it was $99, now they are like $199. We use it for growing vegetables in the summer and baby chick's in March
I have one large brooder that I made of plywood and hardware cloth. all of our other brooders are large Sterilite containers which I cut part of the top out of and stapled hardware cloth to for a top when needed.
I have used a cardboard box as a bruder and it worked great..I also got a brand new one every year. If you live in a cold climate you should try a ohio style brooder. They work very well in cold climates and use less electricity.

If it snows, since you took the snowblower off, you have to come clear the end of my driveway. It is now your fault if it snows in the next week or 2

I got the $350 stock tank from tractor supply and it works great! ;)
I hope it helped all your $2 chickens survive.

We got one of these from TS. Leaks like a sieve. Waste of money.

Has your dealer swapped out that manifold yet? I think there is an open campaign on them right now to replace them. The new one seemed to fix mine.
I put vegetables in the ground this last weekend so if it snows, blame me too 😂
I got a Warehouse wooden box used it for years 0 cost , yup need to keep cost down ,
