    Definitely let me know what you think about the settings and whether or not I should change any of them.

      I think the temperatures you’re seeing with current settings on your AC Infinity are great. Not sure you could get much lower without the fans being too loud. Of course the lower the better, but we all have to find that happy medium we can live with. I’m happy it seems to be working for you. Now you can relax and just enjoy it. I’ve had my AVM 70 almost three months and I love it.

      Appreciate the feedback on this and the previous video which led me to AC Infinity. I can now sleep better at night 😀

      Hey just curious - do the Anthem fans still come on as well or does that temp setting of 83 keep them off / quiet and you only hear the AIRCOM fans? Thx!

      @@andygorton332 Thanks for checking out the video. I was actually one of the lucky ones that had a quiet fan to begin with so for me the only one that I hear is the AIRCOM fans. Also since I use external amplification for all my channels that also helps with keeping it cooler.

    I have a couple of AC Infinity USB fans plugged into the back of my t8 which sits on top of my MRX 1120. I have one USB fan on either side of the receiver to blow air into the side vents and allow for more airflow to the t8. The USB fans run off the thermometer in the t8, and cuts in when the main unit starts, works flawlessly and keeps my system nice and cool. Cheers

      Thanks for sharing! I did notice the USBs in the back so glad to hear that there is an upgrade path (adding more fans) if it would be necessary.

    good video as always, really like how humble you are! i own mrx740 and really love it. however, it has a very loud fan sound so will build it in behind a glassfront. Thanks for the video, will be to try the T8 variant for me as I have open back in my TV bench

    I just had my Anthem MRX 740 installed & calibrated. I am BLOWN AWAY how much better my SVS home theatre sounds. My rear surrounds & front height channels came alive! I hear so much more audio when I put Blade Runner 2049 4K in. Absolutely incredible

      Nice! Not that I have the money, but I've wondered if I ever upgrade my Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers if that would be a good option. I bought my center, fronts and surrounds for $270 but I still enjoy how they sound. I recently added the Dolby Atmos modules for $125 so wondered how much of a difference a higher price speaker would do. Something to strive for, I guess.

    I just ordered the 1140. I’m replacing my Yamaha rxa 2060. I hope this is a decent upgrade from what I have.

    I'm going to by the mrx 1140 and also had a piorneer receiver lasted 16 years lol just acting its age all I want to know is .is there a,remote trigger switch or do I have to manually power it off I would appreciate your feed back on this question cause I have the same set up as you have and bought the same cooling unit

    • @RandomDistractionsYT
      @RandomDistractionsYT  3 года назад +2

      16years! That lasted a good while. I'm still enjoying my 1140. To be honest I plugged the cooler in and haven't touched it since I set it up. The fans kick in when they need to and stop as well. I do leave the screen off 99% of the time so that is probably why I don't even think about having to turn off. I looked on the back of the unit and there isn't a trigger though. Only the power cable and two USB ports to expand with more fans. Maybe you could plug in to a smart plug to control that way? I'm going to leave mine in the on position and will see how long that lasts or if I run into any issues.

    Hi Bro 👋 will this 1140 match the sound quality of Nad T 778 Avr

    • @RandomDistractionsYT
      @RandomDistractionsYT  3 года назад

      I wish I knew, unfortunately I have not heard the NAD one. There are some videos that are impressed with the sound but haven't seen one that compares against the Anthem. Sorry.

    • @RandomDistractionsYT
      @RandomDistractionsYT  3 года назад

      Unfortunately, I have not heard that one either but similar to the NAD I've seen videos that say good things about it too. The only other receiver I had before this was the Pioneer VSX1131. Between those two the Anthem definitely sounds better.

    Do not understand how everyone can handle all these fans when you have to listen to music .. Anthem fan is a disaster in itself and then you put a T10 there too which makes me crazy as it starts every other second ..

    • @RandomDistractionsYT
      @RandomDistractionsYT  2 года назад +2

      To be honest I actually didn't have the fan probllme with my 1140 but have heard lots of people having the problem but to your point the T10 does become audible especially during low passages. I think I only have it set to the #2 setting but may look at bringing it down to only max of 1 to see if that lowers it. It does make me wish I had a more dedicated space so that those components could be moved elsewhere.

      I go into more detail in a later video (ruclips.net/video/sY7xNNJO8PI/видео.html) but I had to move them around to get rid of a null in my room and also used the EQ in the SVS app to help with a dip that I was having. I also needed to break them in a little. I just got another tip from someone and will give it a try too.
