your videos on gait examination are outstanding as not all of us get the opportunity to see some of these gaits regularly in clinical practice. thank you
Thank you for your demonstration. However, may I comment on a detail at 40 seconds into the video. I believe you're saying the word, "FENESTRATED".....but I believe you meant to say, "FESTINATING'.....Fenestration refers to a surgical procedure of opening a passage through a wall in the body such as what ENT might do when performing a SINUS FENESTRATION in a person with chronic blockage due to an abnormality in mucus drainage or an optic nerve sheath FENESTRATION whereby the optic nerve sheath is open or FENESTRATED by the neurosurgeon to relieve CSF pressure. FESTINATION is the term used to describe a parkinsonian gait as you are doing above. Cheers!
Can someone tell me what are the differences between shuffling and festinating gait? Is it only center of gravity difference beacuse of the posture in festinating gait?
Cerebellar tremor is characterized by "intention tremor". As in, when the patient reaches for something. Although the presenter is "moving", the upper-limb tremor is still accurate because he is not actively reaching with his arms.
Not my experience - particularly the ‘shake’. A Parkinson ‘shake’ to which everybody seems to refer is not a shake but a tremor. The tremor is best described as ‘pill rolling’ between the thumb and the forefinger on the dominant side of the body and is exacerbated through stress. Only 60% of patients present with any form of tremor and extreme cases may be improved by deep brain (sub- thalamic) stimulation.
Parkinson disease is a very terrible illness🤢, my Dad suffered from it for 19 years until we finally got a help and a medicine from Dr Madida that truly works that helped treat, cure and reversed all his symptoms.”My Dad is well a gain.”
Great things Dr Madida on RUclips has being doing for mankind, I undergo his Parkinson disease treatment plan for weeks and my Parkinson Disease was completely reversed/
great but all his demos are for old people with full blown disease. Those people dont watch these videos and neither can they be treated hence its useless to show these gaits. only videos of gaits in diseased young people make sense.
Wow, you are really talented with these demonstrations! Why didn't I find this before my gait exam?! Thanks!

Excellent demonstration, this is how it presents at certain levels as the disease progresses
Very wonderful way of explanation.
wow! im studying for step 2 and your demostration included all the details!! ty!!
wow. just wow. the acting is so good

الله ينور عليك يا استاذ
appreciate the effort... btw it's a festinating gait (not fenestrated).
This seems like it must be at more advanced stages. I wonder what it looks like earlier in the progression of the disease
Maybe look around the net..you should find a few examples?.
Damn, looks like my 60-something old neighbor is suffering from Parkinson. Always wondered whats wrong with him, now its so obvious. Thanks (?)
I also have a neighbor 60+ walks like that, 2 years now I wonder the same thing. That's why I'm here. Finally I got the answer.
Is he still alive ?
My neighbors walk like this. Their junkies
Also the president walks like that as well
@@TheDogGeneral its so sad.
Not to nit-pick, but I think presenter said "fenestrated" (has windows) gait when he meant "festinating" (hurrying) gait.
Wow very excellent
Thanks

This is a perfect example of how my former landlord walked like
A quibble at 0:40: That should be "festinating gait," not "fenestrated gait" (unless they're heading for a window). ;)
Great gait demonstration, but it is not a fenestrated gait that would mean a gait with holes cut in it. . .it was a festinating gait!
medico files Parkinson's disease is characterized by static tremor and there is no tremor during movement as in cerebellar @
syndrome
Cerebellar tremor is characterized by "intention tremor". As in, when the patient reaches for something. Although the presenter is "moving", the upper-limb tremor is still accurate because he is not actively reaching with his arms.
AMAZING! YOU ARE AMAZING THANKS. MAKES MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER.

This sounds awfully disrespectful, but am I the only one who totally sees Tim Conway's "The Oldest Man" in this gait?
This is exactly it.
Shuffling gait
Pro actor reminds me of thr back to the future characters when they're pretending to be old
