Hi, I have to reapply the theme over and over again. GTK 4 applications dont allways use the theme. After every reboot its gone in atleast nautilus (und other gtk4 apps). Someone knows how to make it more permanend?
The only thing that stops me from fully moving to windows is a good email Client compatible with outlook. Know of any? Work is picky and many don't work, and the web app is not great, no grab and drop, archiving etc.... As soon as I see an EmClient in the linux space I will be switching. Happy to know your take on email clients in Linux, or a video about it.
For someone who is beginner on linux desktop (not servers, i've been working with servers a lot) this is video is great.. i wanted some clean look but had no idea where to start. Thanks for taking your time and making this! After the theme installation (WhiteSur) system became.. a bit laggy. Everything takes a few seconds to open where before it was instant but ow well.. My only question is. How do you get your icons in file explorer to look blue ? Is it numix-folders at 11:48 ? I installed that, in the terminal it says complete but.. nothing changes ? Or is it something else ? I am on nobara 40 and all the icons in file explorer are gray, big and.. not great looking.
@@Mattscreative I am not giving any blame to the extension developers. I am just saying it's very unfortunate that extension developers are forced to update their extensions for each major gnome release.
Hey, where do you get the wallpapers from? The ones in Discord are all 1080p when I download them. I tried it thru Discord and thru browser. Maybe you can share the original links or make a drive folder? I really love your desktop setup with these wallpapers.
I followed your advice and switched to CashyOS but i need an advice from you i'm facing an issue with vulkan on all emulators when i run them natively or on appimage they detect a vulkan issue [Vulkan Device Enumeration Thread] my only choice is to use flatpak and not every emulator is on flatpak Note: games on steam or bottles work fine with vulkan only emulators have this issue help me if you can 7800x3d RTX4070
@@Mattscreative i did same issue i even uninstalled mesa vulkan layers and AMD vulkan driver same issue still apply my only remaining thing to do is Environment variables which i tried to do but i don't think i'm doing the bash thing right maybe a little video from you explaining how to do Environment variables and also with bash might help a stupid person like me i followed the arch wiki vulkan but i'm certain that i'm doing it wrong the echo command gives me blank or file doesn't exist

On your Gnome interface, how did you centralized your apps?
what extension that enbles that three dots at the top right as exit, minimize and maximize?
oh snap install gnome tweaks and open it and on the side click windows and enable maximize and minimize

Use the tweak took gnome-tweaks to change the icons and run numix folders as sudo
@@Mattscreative Never mind.. my bad..In icons i had selected numix-cicle-light, not numix-circle.. all good now :)

They don’t break gnome updates and extensions go out of date for that new version

Problem i had in nobara i couldnt get vlc to install it kept saying it would overwrite my gstreamer stuff, very annoying.

@Mattscreative ya i typically use that with smplayer frontend on windows or linux. Just seems like vlc works better with dvd/iso for some reason
try mpv or clapper.
