    Listened to your live stream-- What reverbs are you using on your vocals? On a critical note the drums could use some tuning and a bit more clarity. Overall great job. We are looking to replace some old Grass Valley cameras and those Red Komodo's are impressive.

      Hey Cameron! We have a Atem Constellation 4k for our switcher. It allows you to send a “clean” version of an ME through an output. But it only works when using a down stream keyer (DSK) instead of a “Key” so have to make sure you switch away from using the upstream keyer and instead just use DSK 1-4.

    20:10 Cody i would appreciate it, if you explain this lightning control in detail. Whats the controller you are using (Custom Build?) ? is it just a remote for lightkey, or does it work independently with a dmx merger?

    • @codynpatterson
      @codynpatterson 5 месяцев назад +2

      TBH I haven't opened it to see what manufacturer it is, but there are alot of wall mount style programmable dmx button products out there. I believe in our setup it merges somewhere down the line, but either way as long as your lighting desk or software is first in the chain you're solid. As Jake mentions, I think Pro Church Lights has their own system for this!

    • @matthewpiatt
      @matthewpiatt 5 месяцев назад

      Look like it. Also, latency doesn't really matter as much for broadcast as long as all your channels are time aligned (i.e. delay compensation) and your video + audio timing is sync'd.

      Hey Andrew, we actually use Midi to arm/disarm the ProPresenter Lyrics track in Ableton. We use ProPresenter to send the midi cue, and using the ProPresenter Stream Deck Plugin we have a macro on the stream deck to trigger the midi note that turns on and off the Ableton track. So essentially we are mutting the track in ableton, by clicking a macro in ProPresenter. I'll try to make a video on this soon!

    I say this respectfully….
    God is bigger than money.
    At the start of the video he said they are reaching over one hundred thousand people each week. That’s not a small number of people, getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are being excellent stewards with what God is giving them. God has given them a congregation that gives plenty, so that they can make sure they send their message as clearly and with the highest degree of quality possible. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. When King Solomon built the Temple, he paid for the highest quality of workers available and they were not even people of Israel. When Jesus spoke to the people from a boat, scientists have confirmed it was actually an extremely wise thing to do because the surface of the water doesn’t absorb the voice, it amplified it. So yes. In todays day. We can be good stewards of this simple thing called money, and use it to spread the gospel to those that most need it.
    Fun joke. A rich man died and went to heaven, but he made sure to bring bags of gold with him. When he got to the gates of Heaven, Peter asked him why he chose to bring Heavens asphalt, as if they had run out.
    😂
    Great video and great use of the resources God has asked you to use and multiply. 🙏

    39:10 the mixer at front of house is definitely not a controller. It’s doing all the processing. The Rack is for all the I/O.

    • @dustinthiessen
      @dustinthiessen 5 месяцев назад +2

      incorrect. with dLive, all the processing happens in the rack. That's why they call them mixracks. In fact you can run dLive without a surface, if you want, and just control via the Director software on a computer, or Mixpad on a tablet

    • @codynpatterson
      @codynpatterson 5 месяцев назад +1

      Not exactly with DLive. Both process audio, but the control surface at FOH only does the preamp input and processing for cards that are locally coming into that surface.
      The stage box continues passing audio and even processing audio changes from an iPad or other surfaces if the FOH surface gets turned off. They all do a bit of processing but it depends what inputs are being used and where your cards are plugged in.

    • @dustinthiessen
      @dustinthiessen 5 месяцев назад

      @@codynpatterson close, but there’s no processing in the surface at all. Even though you do have I/O on the surface, you can’t use it standalone, as it doesn’t process audio.

    • @codynpatterson

      @@dustinthiessen sure but technically it’s still processing that info there enough to pass the data on. That’s what I meant by processing. If you turn off the FOH surface none of your cards will work and none of the local inputs will pass audio.
