This might sound a little weird but, as someone who’s been watching Teddy’s videos since pretty much the beginning, I’m so proud of this guy. He’s a complete stranger to many of us but, the way he introduced us to so many watch brands and opened up eyes to all the different nuisances of the watch industry. Couldn’t be more grateful for his knowledge of the business. Seeing someone live out their passion and succeed is priceless. Cheers Teddy 🍻🤝

Well put (and not "weird" at all). Perhaps we're just moved when one so young and talented translates their passion into reality in such a short time. Social Media's a cesspool of fraudulent grandiosity. It's a bit surreal seeing Teddy's low-key (but impassioned) integrity knock dreams so thoroughly "out of the park" before our very eyes. Today, a good man won.
It does sound a little weird, and I completely agree and feel the same. Just happy for the guy and will definitely be visiting if I ever find myself in that part of the world 😊

I bought my brother a Hamilton Khaki Field from Teddy’s online store. A week after purchasing got a call from someone on his team checking in to see how the watch was treating us and making sure everything was good. Class act and amazing customer service. I know this store will be huge success. Congrats!

Granted how much you paid for the watch vs its material cost, labor, commissions etc. The amount of profit they made from you, a tiny sales follow up call is the least they can do.

Teddy went from a young college graduate fumbling through his first RUclips watch video to nearly 1m subscribers. He’s interviewed watch brand CEO’s of multiple manufacturers in Germany and Switzerland while growing his online presence and store now representing nearly 40 brands! We’ve watched Teddy grow up on camera. We met his Father,his friends,his future wife and of course, Mr Wonderful. And now Teddy is opening his own luxury watch store!!Congrats to you Teddy!! Congrats for realizing your dream! I'm on the other side of the world so I won't be visiting any time soon! I'm new to horology, but one thing I've noticed from many of the watch 'boutiques' especially here in Australia is the 'watch snobbery' that goes on is just off the meter. Apart from a few (like the Seiko boutiques) not many are accommodating or don't understand that many of the luxury brands are 'aspirational' - I won't be able to afford ANY of them - but I still admire them, maybe one day will buy one. I hope your boutique reflects your relaxed down to earth YT presence, you truly love watches! Yet you understand not everyone can afford or is even interested in the 'high end' brands - but we appreciate and admire the craftsmanship & engineering none the less. Best of luck going forward, hobbies are meant to be inclusive and about passion... this is clearly a labour of love and passion for you!

I am no watch expert but man out of every watchshop and jeweller I have been in or seen online, yours is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
During the covid times a few watch guys became very popular indeed. Almost all have run their course of maintaining my interest . The exception to the rule is Teddy who has consistently hit the right notes with informative, compelling, clear and very broad content. I am really pleased that his enthusiasm and hard work has been realised with the setting up of his own brick and mortar store. *If you want any outside perspective on that store from someone first time on the channel, here it is:* It creates a feeling like many luxury stores, which basically have an aura of "un-inviting" to people who are to buy a luxury watch but don't themselves live in luxury from day to day. It creates the aura of "you must fit in, in order to buy from us", rather than passion, which is contradictionary to 11:48. Anyways, well done! Not many can claim to have opened a luxury store in their life and that is a reached milestone on life.
That's a confidence issue and not a design issue... Going into a store like this if you don't live this lifestyle daily, is a rewarding treat to yourself and anytime ive been in a lecoultre boutique or high end design store, you're treated very nicely and a bit spoiled. Never have I felt "you must fit in". For example, I have 2 vintage LeCoultres. In NYC, I'll tell you, those have garnished more conversation from the staff (and each one was arouund $2500) and how some have seen maybe one some never at all. Did i inherit or how long did it take me to find, the story behind them, etc.

I'd say it has to do with the location and the brands chiming in. At my local AD, it is a standalone building, 1 floor. The outside, they have real railroad and oil refinery equipment placed in such a way that you know it's not uninviting from far away. This town's most notable things back in the day was trains, oil and agriculture. It's a Rolex AD though. Which if it was in Beverly Hills, it would have all the pomp in the world. Once you go inside though, it looks like the same Beverly Hills AD. Just as much security as the one in Beverly Hills even though it's a small town. You got start somewhere, the location is good for the foot traffic but blends in with the rest of the stuff around. You have some flexibility with how Omega or brands want their brand to be shown but Teddy is also thinking about future brands he hasn't yet procured. I think he went with the safe choice. Maybe to make it a little less uptight, he should get his guys running the store to showcase a watch once a month on the channel to melt the ice. It would help with the aura you describing when you feel like you kind of know the guys a little on RUclips and not 2 guys in a suit in a pretentious store. Especially by mid west standards.

I worked at the Time + Tide Watch Discovery Studio in my home town of Melbourne, Australia and we had a similar ethos in that it was a watch enthusiast space that also sold watches. Ever since I got into watches what I've appreciated about Teddy is that in a market wrought by many over-hyped brands and elitist conspicuous consumption, he's always managed to be a grounded voice of quality for value and sound 'both feet on the ground' advice on what's worth it and what's not. Congratulations man! Someone who sells something because they loved it themselves and wants to share that love with others. Not just a merchant peddling a product they neither know nor care about so common in our society today. Take us back to how it used to be where one would go to a store to speak to a person who knew the product and could answer questions and give requested advice, rather than push hallow product.
