One must imagine Sisyphus happy. But what about Napoleon? Well, one must imagine Napoleon proud. Yes, he lost everything, and it is true that he ultimately was left on an island far from home, but the fact of the matter is that he did something while he could, he accomplished truly incredible things that eclipse even some of the greatest men in history. Once he was on that island there was nothing to be done, for he had already done all that there was to do, so he could only reminisce, to think, on the past and how high he rose, to ponder what may have happened if he were anyone but himself and made different choices, and to be proud for people shall forever know his name through his deeds. The heights reached in and of themselves is enough to render a man's heart joyous. One must imagine Napoleon rightfully proud.
He actually died undignified, in commoner’s clothes and on a bed. Possibly poisoned too. He would express a lot that death is preferable to his exile. Initially, he had that proudness of achievement but his companions’ writings show that as time went on he felt more and more hopeless. Yet through it he still tried 5 times to escape before his death. So he never gave up despite his initial claim of “I consider my career finished” early into his imprisonment.
He lived, he conquered, he reigned, and he died, but he won’t ever be forgotten, he’s truly lived a life worth of dying for; something that very few of us can do or say in today’s world… (and I’m no exception)

@@Leto965 this conditions were against his volonté, but the only way to pass them was to restart with the throne, Napoléon was tired at this time and said it will be against the insterest of France to come back a third time
In his last words, he called to his first wife, Josephine. During their marriage, Napoleon achieved most of his successes: Italy, Egypt, France in his swift coup, Germany and Austria, Prussia and Poland, all under his control. Since 1809, when his marriage with an Austrian princess that never liked him occured, the Empire started to crumble. Historians say that their love was of a platonical kind: they had no kids, though Napoleon recognised her children as his and gave her son Eugene an Italian crown. Despite he was cheating on her during various campaigns and had several offsprings, she always forgave him and there were little conflicts between them both. He saw her last time shortly before his marriage on an Austrian princess that gave him son, Napoleon II - an heir to his legacy. He could conquer Europe, he could regret his campaign in Russia, he could be won twice after Elba resurgence and sent to an empty island 8000 kms far from his fatherland... but he was left alone without a possibility to meet people whom he loved and cared the most. He was left without his son, without country, without beloved ones. This is the biggest tragedy of Napoleon Bonaparte and there was really nothing he could do.
@@gantz332 yeah so he did. Despite that they never broke up and had been remaining close to the moment Napoleon decided to choose political ambitions over his real marriage.

Look my theory Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, on the French island of Corsica, on August 15, 1769. Napoleon was the fourth, and second surviving, child of Carlo Buonaparte, a lawyer, and his wife, Letizia Ramolino. Around the time of Napoleon's birth, Corsica's occupation by the French had drawn considerable local resistance. Carlo Buonaparte had at first supported the nationalists siding with their leader, Pasquale Paoli. But after Paoli was forced to flee the island, Carlo switched his allegiance to the French. After doing so he was appointed assessor of the judicial district of Ajaccio in 1771, a plush job that eventually enabled him to enroll his two sons, Joseph and Napoleon, in France's College d'Autun

One must imagine Napoleon rightfully proud.
that is the most beautiful piece of writing I have ever seen. thank you.
I screenshot this so I can remember it sometime later. Thanks.
I want to be like him. Surely, not so many people will ever know that I existed, but at least I want to be remembered by my friends.
Truly a word in the end theres nothing we can do,
But we must look back to wht we have you truly made my day Monsieur!
NÃO TEM MAIS NADA QUE NÒS PODEMOS FAZER.
He lived, he conquered, he reigned, and he died, but he won’t ever be forgotten, he’s truly lived a life worth of dying for; something that very few of us can do or say in today’s world… (and I’m no exception)
The world has never felt so cold-

The Atlantic so vast-
Stripped from my grasp

After Waterloo he was so broken that he didn't want to escape. And he had a chance. Even back in France when he got deposed and tried to seek asylum in America common people surrunded his carriage and offered to folow him back to Paris to reinstate his power, but he refused

MY FAV SONG❤❤❤
This is the biggest tragedy of Napoleon Bonaparte and there was really nothing he could do.
now that’s deep. :(
@@gantz332 yeah so he did. Despite that they never broke up and had been remaining close to the moment Napoleon decided to choose political ambitions over his real marriage.
It's always if you try to invade Russia you automatically lose, history prove it
He didn't succeed in Egypt though, he escaped and France stayed there only 3 years anyways
@@hefzy8478 Still a great virtue to crush Turkish army and stay almost without provision in a detached province for 1 year. He evacuated from Egypt on hearing about Suvorov's triumph in Italy

There’s nothing we can do just keep the vibe going
The slight decrease in pace makes this much more thoughtful and reflective. Fits perfect with Napoleon at Saint Helena. Meme Culture certainly always finds the best tunes to carry their message

A legend who once ruled the world he has it in his hands
I think the biggest issue we face in mankind is a lack of purpose, we all want to be great and conquer, but todays society doesn’t allow legends or heroes…
this is exactly what im talking about. well said brother
The democracy has mistake
My brother and sister, I need to inform you that today society is awaiting for new legends, new heroes, corruption still out there behind the building of government, many people still suffer from poverty, new slavery and child labor is rising on horizon and many more toward us.
So my brother and sister, it's true that society "try" to prevent legends and heroes in many way, but did that stop us from being that?
Go fixing those corruption my brother, Go helping those who in need my sister, Go out there and prove that the man who trying to make history, truly can happened in this age.

Memorable words of Napoleon: Theres nothing we can do
Remember this when you are lost and cant do anything. This man suffered.
We Poles remember this hero❤ There is nothing we can do except being in 123 years in occupied 😢
