He unlocked it earlier in wano but just started to master it here he surprisingly got the hang of it a lot faster than Luffy he didn’t even know what it was at the time but still was able to utilize it
Wado Ichimonji represents Zoro's promise and quest to become the greatest swordsman. Sandai Kitetsu represents his curse. His luck saved his arm and we are yet to see if its curse would still one day kill him. This is the cheapest of the 3, and remains part of the plot line for Zoro to find all 3 Kitetsus. The 3rd sword represents his progression and power. With each replacement he has to re-learn his techniques to tame the sword. And at the end he would get far more powerful than where he started.
Honestly, he is also pretty much a natural when it comes to swords and fighting. He probably just had to rationalize his haki into a swordfighting mindset more. Luffy is dumber but learned to clad himself in haki and had to learn to use it on others on a large scale. Now, he also got ryuo training, so it should be an even stronger haki.
Zoro is shown training more than anyone else throughout the whole show. He's always pumping iron or jumping in freezing water or something since the very beginning.
Zoro has incredible fighting instincts, and a lot of insight. After using Enma for that long he just started to understand what it was that Enma was wanting from him as it's master.
You guys watch OP in IG reels or YT shorts? There was a flashback prior to this, the creator, explaining that there’s no such thing as “cursed” swords like Enma is supposed to be is or the Kitetsu. That’s why he said Enma isn’t draining his haki out of malice, he is just not strong enough or was scared holding his haki back ‘cause he might die.
Its probably because zoro remembered his promises to luffy that he would be the best swordsman. Which probably such an ambition is befitting of a king in its own right, thus him unlocking the haki of kings
Oden use conquers when he wield the sword, hell he even got to advanced conq to cut kaido. Zoro released he has coc and the haki from the sword combining from his body turned to green and crimson light got released as proof that zoro unleashed his hidden coq that allowed him to be a king or coq
