      Do not confuse MLK with Malcolm X. He wouldve been proud of the possibility and someone with dark skin using it to become president. But he emphasized UNUTY, not segregation which is what you're doing. He welcomed unity in EVERY way, but you wouldn't mind shutting whites off to some things, would you?

      Oh, so you praise a president who pays Iran (the largest supporter of Islamic terror) a $4 million ransom -- which is illegal and against American policies. You praise a president who removes our ally in Egypt (Hosni Mubarak) and has him replaced with the Muslim Brotherhood (a terror group) to lead Egypt and then gives them 15 US fighter jets and 15 US tanks. You praise a president who trades 5 of the most deadliest terrorists in Guantanamo for 1 US soldier who went AWOL to fight and help Al-Qaeda. You praise a president who has put more people on welfare and food stamps than there has been in over 40 years. You praise a president who spends more money than all the other American presidents combined. You praise a president who said America is not a Christian nation (even though 70% of Americans say they are Christians) but is instead the fastest growing Muslim nation in the world (a flat out lie -- we aren't even in the top 10). You praise a president who won't even identify our enemy or call them what they war -- Islamic terrorists. You praise a president who has more people off the workforce (95 million) then there has been in over 40 years. You praise a president who attacked Bush for not going to Louisiana 4 days after hurricane Katrina but Obama hasn't even left his golf game to visit Louisiana after they have had the worst flooding since Katrina and 15 people have died. You are a stupid 67 year old and are part of the problem in America.

    • @CasperCee
      @CasperCee 9 лет назад +2

      You are brain-washed with stupidity.
      Tell, what great things has Obama done?
      - was it sue a U.S. state that passed a law to strengthen the security of our borders and our national security, then threaten to sue 6 more states that wanted to pass similar laws?
      - was it promise Americans shovel-ready jobs if his stimulus was passed then later admitted there was no such thing as a "shovel-ready" job?
      - was it ignore the Wars To Powers Act and illegally start a war in Libya by bypassing Congressional approval?
      - was it he flat out lied to America why our consulate in Benghazi was attacked?
      - was it ignored the pleas from Ambassador Stevens for help and more security at our consulate then do nothing while our consulate was attacked?
      - was it to say he had al-Qaeda on the run while they were beheading and killing people in the middle east?
      - was to announce to the world that America would not enforce our immigration laws and caused hundreds of thousands of illegals to stampede our borders and have hundreds of kids as young as 3 kidnapped to be sex slaves?
      - was it push his Arab Spring which removed our ally in Egypt (Hosni Mubarak) to be replaced with the terror group the Muslim Brotherhood which killed thousands of Coptic Christians in Egypt
      - was it because he spoke out against the shooting of teen thug Treyvon Martin and criminal Michael Brown but didn't mention a word about:
      • the white 89 year old WWII vet that was beaten to death by black men
      • the white NJ couple who were beaten, tortured, the woman was gang-raped before they were killed by black men
      • the white college baseball player who was shot in the back & was killed by black men who did it for fun
      • about the white, unarmed 20 year old man who was shot by the police
      - was it bribe and buy votes from people in his own party to get ObamaCare passed even though 70% of Americans didn't want it
      - was it win the Lie of the Year Award in 2013?
      - was it win 4 Pinnochio Awards TWO TIMES
      - was it tell America it was "unpatriotic" that Bush added over $4 trillion to our national debt than add over $8 trillion in less time it took Bush to add $4 trillion
      - was it try to force the insurance at Christian schools and hospitals to cover birth control and abortions even though it went against their beliefs (trying to force government and religion)
      - was it when he said Iran is a small place and is not a dangerous place, even though they have threatened to blow Israel off the map and Obama is now negotiating with Iran and their nuclear program
      - was it his ignoring our ally in the middle east, Benjamin Netanyahu, and sending in attack dogs into Israel to try and hurt Netanyahu's election?
      - was it when Obama announced the beheading of American journalist James Foley and then was on the golf course 5 minutes later
      - when Obama lied about who signed in the sequester
      - when Obama lied about drawing the red-line in Syria
      - was it when Obama traded 5 of the most deadliest terrorist prisoners for ONE American soldier who went AWOL and went to seek our enemy to give them assistance
      - was it when Obama did NOTHING when an American marine was taken into custody and held in a Mexican prison for 8 moths
      - was it when Obama went to Selma and instead of talking about the progress America has made to get away from racism, he criticized America and made false accusations to further divide our country

    • @CasperCee
      @CasperCee 9 лет назад +1

      PrepperWorkShop Oh, that's clear. Why else would Obama and the Democrats want strict gun laws? So law abiding citizens will be defenseless against the criminals, the drug dealers, the sexual predators, and people "who are not white" (the people Obama and the Democrats defend) who will always be armed -- whether it's legal or not.
      Yes, they call anybody who disagrees with Obama a racist. They have no other way to defend the king liar & fraud.
      They call anybody who disagrees with Obama a racist, but don't say a word about Obama's right-hand man, the king race-baiter in America, Al Sharpton -- who spews more racial hate and pushes the dividing line in America further and further every time he opens his mouth.

      Brain washed with stupidity? lol! What you do is called in psychology projection! when you see in the others what you already have! Your long list is so superficial and misleading. tackling any subjects would show up the hollow way of thinking and the lack of any depth in the vision. I'll pick some items from your list to show up how you figure out things.
      * You confused Al Qaeda with ISIS, they are two different things. Both are Muslim extremists, but the first was created by CIA to fight soviet union, then went out of control and did 9/11, while the second created by the same agency (and you can check General Wesley Clark speech about this) to fight the Shiaa in Syria, then went out of control.
      * Yet, when ISIS began to go crazy on everybody like the Yazedies and the American Journalist, Obama has his drone attacks against them (more than 2500 attacks so far.) In addition to the Kurdish and Iraqi's troupes fighting on the ground! * You do not understand the Arab spring mechanisms and what really happened in the middle east during that time. Any support of U.S. of the toppled dictators like Mubarak would have categorize us the first enemy of the people! What Obama did was trying to control the democratically elected government over there, which happened to be Muslim brotherhood which opened the door for many extremists, but in the same time worked with the intelligence agencies over there to get rid of the Muslim brotherhood, which ended in Egypt for example by the same people who elected Muslim brotherhood to uprise against them and elect another president secular this time from the army!! Which approach is now smarter ? yours which makes many enemies to us, or the way things goes that protects us from many troubles in future? * You mentioned George Bush, but you seems confused between the budget and the dept! the problem of George Bush was not just the dept but the unbalanced budget. He left the country on the verge of economic depression! What is the solution in your vision? let it go down the hole like Herbert Hover? try to find another WWII to fix things up as Roosevelt was lucky to have? or bail out the big corporations which would have taken us all down with them?
      * Have you listened to Obama's whole speech in Selma? Have you listen to the equal opportunities to all tone that make all Americans proud of their countries? Denial of racism is sweeping it under the rug! However facing it and stressing the equality of all Americans is the proper approach! While you do not see anything right in Obama, which shows up immature way of judging things and people. I disagree with him on Obama care. Accepting preexisting conditions was great, but raising the premium without offering a hundred percent coverage is wrong. Our universal care act is not the best in the world, because the cost of medical supplies is over estimated by the greedy pharmaceutical companies. I understand their need for money to research and profit, but the system need to be fixed in a way does not crush the middle class. I picked some of your points to show how you miss depth and sense of reality in your comment. The difference between my comment and yours is the difference between the political analysis and propaganda!

      I think you and I see today based on the source of information we are preview to.
      I am not American so permit me to judge him based on his foreign policy alone.
      Obama cannot be a really good one when all the countries he has somehow meddled in is in crisis. From Libya to Ukraine and nations in between.
      He will never be a great leader being the first US president to give invitation to Egypt's muslim Brotherhood in the WH.
      More so, he is so sneaky about it.... meddles with nations and act like he isn't for it. So when things backfire, he says he was never involved. Just like in Syria.
      He is so weak about it... speak loud and strong about consequences but when Putin is eating up Ukraine... no one is seen doing a thing. Talk about Sanctions ... Putin doesn't think he will change for sanction sake. BRICS in the building.
      He is so intelligent about it... he speaks of diplomacy so well. I wonder if he gave birth to it. Iran is eating up the whole ME and giving him the diplomacy song. Syria down, Iraq down, Lebanon down, Yemen almost down, Bahrain work in progress.... Israel the ultimate prize.
      He is so secretive and conscious about it... Americans may never know what led to the killing of their own ambassador in Libya.
      I don't hate Obama. Will never. But facts of foreign policy speak about them.

      jeffsor47 Think farther than wanting to dog our President. There's 6 or 7 other Countries also doing this with us. In my opinion it's good. Before we could only have a rough idea how many bombs they could possibly have. We now have the capability of watching them and they are ridding of what they have now. I have the highest respect for President Obama and I was scared about all of this. However after he and Kerry explained it I see it's all good. I started thinking about who had talked about it in a negative way. Graham, who is war and bloodthirsty and Boehner who isn't stable in his opinions. So even if you aren't a fan of Obama like I am, it really is a good thing. We don't want war. I'm not saying this as a Democrat or a Republican, just one person to another.

    I watched this speech for the first time just a few days after Drumpf's speech to the Boy Scouts at their Jamboree. Once speech left me with tears of pride and love for my country in my eyes, the other left me with tears of shame and humiliation. Guess which was which.

    Our Prime Minister could never do this. Standing alone in the open delivering a speech under the mild flood of sunlight. How nice is the weather over there . Yet Americans are not thankful for that .

    • @lesliepearson6338
      @lesliepearson6338 9 лет назад +2

      PrepperWorkShop Nothing in her reply was offensive...let alone deserving of your hate. We should all work on being thankful. Did you even listen to the speech? "Nonviolent change is possible... love and hope can conquer hate."

    • @lesliepearson6338
      @lesliepearson6338 9 лет назад

      PrepperWorkShop Your comment reads like something from The Onion. But I will assume you are serious...Love probably would've helped during the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, which paved the path to Hitler's being elected. If we had taken compassion into account, the German economy might not have flatlined, which led to the spread of nationalism and the election of Hitler. Love means accounting for your neighbor and your community, which leads to better social systems and social safety nets. With a stronger sense of community and more aid to those who are not powerful or privileged, maybe people won't feel that their only option is breaking and entering [I say this as someone from New Orleans...I know what poverty and crime look like]. Anyway, your examples are hyperbolic fallacies. Your final line assumes that we live in some Hobbesian state of anarchy, at least, as far as I can tell. Evil does not need to be 'kept at bay' if society has mechanisms in place to deter it in the first place. But it seems that 'rough men' don't really need justification for violence.
      Finally, I don't know how any of this is prompted by the Natrah's comment or how any of this relates to your initial comment.

    • @lesliepearson6338
      @lesliepearson6338 9 лет назад

      PrepperWorkShop Interesting that you didn't address any of my actual points. I'll take it that you couldn't disagree with my representation of history. And since when is compassion communism? Good to know "good of the community" is dangerous nonsense [your words]. At least you know who person spreading "dangerous talk" is and you knew who Natrah Omar was, too. Meanwhile, you are?
      Unless you have something to actually contribute, this conversation doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

      Leslie Pearson It's a sad thing when bigots won't even put enough effort into arguing their case properly. I'm happy that you at least had the patience to reason diplomatically with what appears to be an internet troll, but unfortunately, it's not an uncommon thing to find an overwhelming majority sharing in his obstinate views. Political subjects, and sometimes even entirely unrelated topics (such as the OP's comment), breed incredibly stupid flame wars over the internet with one person feeling so justified in their opinions that they'd completely shun anyone else's, whilst claiming to be representing some apparent 'truth' veiled by the government's evil intent. The hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

      Eddard Sharpe Thanks for the comment. I replied to him(?) mostly in solidarity with Natrah Omar and hopefully to show that not all Americans are willfully ignorant of the facts and arrogant about our superiority. As Elie Wiesel said, "We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."

    Every few generations a leader comes along who's just a little different from the rest. A little bit more exceptional. Someone who separates themselves just a little bit more than the others. Lincoln...Roosevelt...Kennedy. Obama is one of those leaders. He is the single greatest and purest mind of our generation. And in years to come he will be remembered in the top tier of the American story.

    It's difficult for me to imagine how any American could object to this speech. If you take this speech at its word, and if you have venom for it, then you have venom for the speaker, not the speech. One of the vital virtues of an honorable citizen is the ability to hear them out and to judge their words for what they are. If this is not a lovely speech about America, then I don't know what one would be.

    I watched the film Selma which was aired on British T.V. Last night. I cannot believe how brutal and violent the Alabama police, as late in history as 1965, were to their own citizens, and indeed how the authorities colluded to deny black people the right to vote.
    Whilst democracy in the U.K. is far from perfect, and indeed some citizens and immigrants in the U.K. have faced some injustices in the past, this was nothing like the scale carried out in the southern U.S. prior to the civil rights movements in the 1960's.
    We are all once race, the "Human" kind so let's all become colour blind!

    Simply: Wow. Great speech. I wish his opposition would have recognized that he was truly trying to reach across the aisle from day 1, rather than take the GOP tactic of "remove Obama from office by all means necessary". Look at the GOP now, they control the house and senate, yet they are self-imploding. The GOP needs a mega-dose of *empathy*, which was a cornerstone of much of this speech.

  • @ElMaestroGordo

    As an African-American, Obama has to reach a very high bar when it comes to oratory owing to the long African-American tradition of harnessing the power of words to move mountains for Change. He doesn't disappoint me!
    Is it me or does his style slightly change when addressing a predominantly African-American audience? Obama seems to adopt the rhythms of a preacher's cadence, moving his arms, "call-and-response." I think Dr. King did something similar. Still good though! :-)

    I'm going to be honest with you after this man won presidency in 08 it inspired me to go to college because before I thought that based on my learning disability I was unable to be in college that college wasn't made for me I spent three years into a university and I got kicked out due to academic probation but when he won the second term I went to a two year college studying criminal justice and within two years in 2015 I did when some people would say is impossible for a person that has learning disability could ever receive a college education it was the proudest moment in my life when I receive my associate degree in criminal justice and now I'm working in my field and going back to school this fall because I proved that with hard work and determination you can achieve anything and I'm going to study for an bachelor's degree in criminal justice because I have a vision in helping the young people in the city of Chicago and educate them because I was once like them letting people dictate who you are instead of fighting back and proving that you too can achieve in higher learning thank you former president for just being a inspiration and proving that I can be successful if I work hard for it.
