Really pleased you discovered Day6. I thought you would like them. They are extremely talented musically but sadly underappreciated. All their albums are great but for me 'Sunshine' is their masterpiece. I'm sure you won't regret digging deeper into their catalogue. The B sides are just as good.

one thing that i really like about day6 is that they don't stick to one genre they tried to mix different elements together and make it their own style so sometimes when i hear their songs i can't decide what genre they are because they are very unique would love to see your reaction to their japanese songs since they also released japanese album but there might be copyright issue :(
Thanks for the reaction, Day6 are my absolute favorite band. Their discography is very varied style-wise & they write all their own songs. All the members sing (except the drummer who only has small vocal moments on the occasional track) , there is no 'lead' singer. Subtitles are nearly always available, which is great because the lyrics are well worth paying attention to. Recommend checking out their debut track *Congratulations* plus *I Wait, How Can I Say, Dance Dance* & *Sweet Chaos* for that rockier vibe. But all their songs are fabulous. *I Need Somebody* is a fan fave & will probably get recommended a lot. The most recent track *Zombie* is a somber work of genius, plus there's an English version. Their Japanese songs are awesome, but these always get blocked so it's probably not worth posting a reaction to those.
Day 6 is on of my FAVES faves groups, and Shoot Me on of my favorite songs, I'm Soo glad that you reacted to them. You should react to The Rose and more song from Day6 in the future... Their never disappoint

I recommend checking out "Days Gone By" (kinda retro), "I wait", "Stop the Rain", "I need somebody", a fan favourite, and, wait no, I'll stop there or I'll just give you the whole discography ! The Rose and N.Flying (a mix of rock and hip-hop) are two other bands you might be interested in :) And if you want real rock, not kpop-rock (which I don't mean in a bad way, I LOOOVE DAY6, The Rose and N.Flying, I've seen them all live), you should check out Guckkasten ("Montage", "Manicure", "Pulse" for example) ! And Nell is another well respected band (their live version of "Words you shouldn't believe" is amazing ! It's like 8 minutes long but those 8 minutes feel like 3 ! such an great live !) Their vocalist writes music for many artists and the band featured in lots of songs, even some BTS songs. English isn't my first language, so I lack adjectives other than great/amazing/awesome but you get the idea ! ;) Can't wait to see you check out more korean rock !! :)

DAY6's music is AWEEEEEESOMEEEE. I would rather say I'm a supporter than a hard stan. I've been listening to them since their debut and their music got me every single times. So just listen to any song from them. Highly recommend!!!
Day6 have 4 main vocalists and our drummer Dowoon also have some lines in some songs and he's also working hard for vocal lessons. Each of them have unique vocal textures and they have no limit in terms of vocal range! Day6 also write and compose their own songs since debut.
I love F.T.Island, Day6, The Rose, and N.flying, but I'm not sure why the RoK's solid punk groups never get brought into the k-rock conversation. I know Crying Nut isn't eye candy, but Uncomfortable Party is a catchy earworm. The Geeks may not be making music these days but they played SXSW in 2013, as did No Brain. Admittedly international access to their punk scene is limited to live videos, but it's still vibrant.

Don’t forget that with kpop/krock videos, always check for captions! They can help give you an idea of what the song is about, along with how they can align with the video and/or choreography! (There’s also plenty of lyric videos too :)
Yes, every member of DAY6 sings!!! The two guitarists (Jae and Sungjin), the bassist (Young K), and the keyboardist (Wonpil) sing in every track they put out with a roughly equal line distribution (kinda depends on the song, but it evens out across the album usually), and the drummer (Dowoon) has had lines in several of their B-sides since like their third comeback. You can't miss his voice, it's very deep! If you want to check out his voice, he sings in Lean on Me (which I think you'd like), Be Lazy, Everybody Rock (Japanese release), Best Part, Wanna Go Back, 365247, Finale (another Japanese release), and Day and Night. He also does the intro for Dance Dance, some background spoken lines for Warning!, joins the harmony in the acapella section of I'll Try, and sings/has spoken lines in Emergency.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned their song Dance Dance yet, but I love that song, peppy rock; very catchy and a fun message with the lyrics, in addition to their always solid instrumentalism! Would be fun to react to!
So, Day6 are a band and technically rock, but they are very often considered an "idol kpop" group. They definitely fit both. It's mostly because they're under one of the Big 3 kpop entertainment companies that they are grouped into idols and kpop, but yes technically they are "krock."
It's also just recently that I listened to Day6. I'm sad I'm late to discovering their music but glad at the same time because its better late than never!! I love this song and also the songs in their latest album The Book of Us: Demon 😍😍😍 Love Me or Leave Me also similar to this.

Always pleased when someone discovers the wonder that is Day6! Please check our more of their tracks! I would like to add I Wait and Letting Go to those already suggested. NO sane person, not ONE, EVER, regretted listening to Day6 💪😁 As other comments mentioned.... There's lots of other great K-Bands and you should defo spread the love for them, too. Regulus by OneWe is amazing.
Day6 have five members and only the drummer doesn't sing - but he's actually learning to and has some small vocal appearances in some songs. I love that despite him obviously not being up to par with the others his parts are always fitting to the feeling of the song and a pleasure to listen to. Over time his small parts have been getting better and a bit longer. The other four have been singing from the get go.
Everyone except Dowoon (the drummer) sings in the band. I really like the songs Sweet Chaos, Dance Dance and Time of our lives. Basically anything of their entropy album as well.
One thing that makes day6 unique is that there's 4 main vocalist that all have an instrument. A lot of bands just have one lead singer that doesn't play an instrument

It was hella nice hearing a bit about the instrumental side of things as I don't play any instruments (yet) so I hadn't noticed these things. All I noticed about the drums is "hey I consistently like Day6's drums, even though I often either dislike or find them meh with other artists" but I didn't really know _why_ I like their sound more. I'll try listening to which end of the drumming sounds tight and which sounds broad from now on, maybe it'll open me up a bit.
considering you mentioned jrock I definitely recommend day6's japanese songs too, they have a different vibe so songs like stop the rain, breaking down, you might like 'em!
yep! they have four top-tier vocalists! (the drummer only sings occasionally) you should definitely check out I Wait and How Can I Say, or for slower songs, Zombie and You Were Beautiful

DAY6 is one of my favorite bands and they are SO UNDERRATED. This song is one of my favorites from them as well. All five members are vocalists, but their drummer, Dowoon, doesn't sing as much as the other four. It's a real shame since he has such a nice voice. Yes, every member of DAY6 sings!!! The two guitarists (Jae and Sungjin), the bassist (Young K), and the keyboardist (Wonpil) sing in every track they put out with a roughly equal line distribution (kinda depends on the song, but it evens out across the album usually), and the drummer (Dowoon) has had lines in several of their B-sides since like their third comeback. You can't miss his voice, it's very deep!
If you want to check out his voice, he sings in Lean on Me (which I think you'd like), Be Lazy, Everybody Rock (Japanese release), Best Part, Wanna Go Back, 365247, Finale (another Japanese release), and Day and Night. He also does the intro for Dance Dance, some background spoken lines for Warning!, joins the harmony in the acapella section of I'll Try, and sings/has spoken lines in Emergency.
Day6 is one of my favourite bands. Some others are N.Flying, The Rose and Lucy Island, would love to see what you think of them too :)
Not sure if anyone has mentioned their song Dance Dance yet, but I love that song, peppy rock; very catchy and a fun message with the lyrics, in addition to their always solid instrumentalism! Would be fun to react to!

DAY6!!!! Woooooooo they sound so good and the lyrics are suberb.
So, Day6 are a band and technically rock, but they are very often considered an "idol kpop" group. They definitely fit both. It's mostly because they're under one of the Big 3 kpop entertainment companies that they are grouped into idols and kpop, but yes technically they are "krock."
It's also just recently that I listened to Day6. I'm sad I'm late to discovering their music but glad at the same time because its better late than never!! I love this song and also the songs in their latest album The Book of Us: Demon 😍😍😍 Love Me or Leave Me also similar to this.

Day6 have five members and only the drummer doesn't sing - but he's actually learning to and has some small vocal appearances in some songs. I love that despite him obviously not being up to par with the others his parts are always fitting to the feeling of the song and a pleasure to listen to. Over time his small parts have been getting better and a bit longer. The other four have been singing from the get go.

Everyone except Dowoon (the drummer) sings in the band. I really like the songs Sweet Chaos, Dance Dance and Time of our lives. Basically anything of their entropy album as well.
Oh and Days gone by is my favourite video. It fits the song so good.

One thing that makes day6 unique is that there's 4 main vocalist that all have an instrument. A lot of bands just have one lead singer that doesn't play an instrument

It was hella nice hearing a bit about the instrumental side of things as I don't play any instruments (yet) so I hadn't noticed these things. All I noticed about the drums is "hey I consistently like Day6's drums, even though I often either dislike or find them meh with other artists" but I didn't really know _why_ I like their sound more. I'll try listening to which end of the drumming sounds tight and which sounds broad from now on, maybe it'll open me up a bit.

The Rose is amazing, but very underrated sadly, I would recommend watching “sorry” or “baby”. N.flying “the real” and “hot potato” are also great
Tru, 4 of the 5 members are lead vocals, the drummer also sing sometimes, maybe small lines, but you know it's already hard enough on drumming so singing while drumming is a plus not an obligation 😁

DAY6 is one of my favorite bands and they are SO UNDERRATED. This song is one of my favorites from them as well. All five members are vocalists, but their drummer, Dowoon, doesn't sing as much as the other four. It's a real shame since he has such a nice voice.

besides the drummer who sings small bits through the songs the rest of them have significant singing parts. they all have really impressive vocals.
