- Our travels take us to Long Beach, Washington and the Long Beach Peninsula. You can find just about anything here, beach, trails, lighthouses, history, and some great shops and great food! There is so much to explore from the Chinook Indians, military encampments, cranberries, and Willapa Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Come for the day, stay a week, you won't see it all. We hope you enjoy our video!!

This was my happy place in the early 60's. I have been back one time. My Uncle bought a cabin there. No one there to hurt me. Oh my, what memories I have of the ole weird shops with big bottles of dead two headed baby pig....Thank you for bringing me back to my happy place💔❣👍

This an interesting video. There is so much history in this region. LB is amazing. The beach all year round is fun, but in the summer it is mesmerizing. Like you said, stay for a week, you'll never see it all.

If you are interested in the history of the area you should visit the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco, which you managed to miss. Long Beach is hardly a secret, it’s been a tourist destination for over 100 years. The school building in Chinook is a visitor center. FYI the legal name is still the North Beach Peninsula. 🙂

Boreas Bed and Breakfast Inn. Could be busy depending on time of year.
Most "view" motels are a distance from the ocean. If it were me, I'd stay at "Salt" in Ilwaco. It overlooks the marina.
It's also very close to Cape Disappointment. If you're an ambitious walker, you could hike Cape D from beginning to end and not pay the Discover Pass fee.
