This is what I appreciate about Seeking What they Sought. Different sides, different viewpoints, and different perspectives. I only have my Adventist experience. I enjoy hearing from others, weather I agree or disagree. We have to be able to hear out our other brothers and sisters. Every episode I come away with learning something new.

Danny has a good point. The real problem is when a group of people Deny that sin is sin. the church should not affirm that. However we live in a grey world and we need to express the love of Jesus. See people as Jesus saw people.

I don't think you guys were getting what Danny was saying when it comes to any issue of sin in the Bible, whether it be adultery, murder, blasphemy, covetousness or LGBQT, abortion or divorce without adultery, the main and number one issue is have you repented of these sins. Are you truly repentant and no longer in your sin. That's what Danny is trying tell you.

I agree. The LBGTQ faction is the only group of people on a platform loudly and boldly trying to redefine and misrepresent biblical principles. It’s a form of self-preservation and selfishness. No one is picking and choosing which sins need to be addressed. I don’t see a coalition for “greedy” people or “premarital sex offenders” loudly proclaiming that their form of sin should be accepted. 😅
You’re trying to be inclusive of ideas that are contrary God’s principles.

I must admit I had a different view of Mr. Danny and I'm so glad you guys had a conversation with him. I agree with him in many things, (and many I dont) but I love he is not extra closed-minded in some topics. Many "conservatives" won't even have a friend from the LGBTQ comunity.
I so agree with the sadness that it is to see SDAs fighting on social media for stupid stuff, and ppl from the outside sees us and just do not want to be a part of that. When we love one another is when ppl will know we are followers of Jesus.
Great conversation, I have a new respect for him. He seems like a person you can hang out with even though you don't agree with him in everything.

Thank you Bro. Danny for clearing up a bit the way to navigate between moral sin and God’ law. We need to really understand what Jesus meant when He said “ Ye are My witnesses “ says the Lord. What does that involve, how to do that. We must learn to live like Jesus. He came when there was a lot of political back and forth, He dis not get involved

Abuse is also a form of adultery… That person who is doing the abusing is cheating on his wife … she is not receiving what she should deserve, the husband is focused on himself and not being faithful to the marriage vows and cheating her.

It’s clear that we’re picking and choosing on both sides, liberal and conservative on a number of issues. Much of it is culturally motivated, it’s also theologically motivated to an extent as well. A gumbo of sorts.
I think when it comes right down to it, how much of our position is being driven by the flesh vs being driven by the spirit? That colors everything, even the way we read the text. Time will tell, wisdom is justified by her children. In the meantime we have to tolerate each other, trust what God is doing in each of our lives and sincerely pray for one another.
Man, the call to pray cannot be overstated or understated especially listening to Shawn’s heart on what could be. We have to pray and fast and pray again for the Holy Spirit to be poured out among us.
Danny isn’t wrong when it comes to our mission and about how much could unravel and how much of our ability to speak truth to power could be stripped if we allow ourselves to be compromised in that one area. Maybe a point worth thinking through. Could one still give the trumpet a certain sound while holding to affirming theology?
Great interview guys. Shout out to the OG and how much God is still using him in these last days.

The signs tell us that the end is near and there must be a number of people ready to meet the challenges that are of one accord and in harmony with the character of Jesus. The 144.000 may not all Adventists? These people are getting ready to vindicate the character of God.

The 144000 are indeed Seventh-day Adventists, who will be sealed before the falling of the plagues. See Revelation 14:12; 12:17; 14:1

The 144,000 are those who will sing a new song as Moses did..in other words, they will have the story to tell that others did not endure. They will have the remnant message in the last days. This message is the testimony of Christ…not the doctrines of a religion. The remnant is the Truth of Christ, not man’s misconceptions of the Truth. The first shall be last and the last shall be first….Love of God unconditionally and love for others unconditionally…self holds no importance to you in this remnant.

Politics has nothing to do with religion. This is the problem we have today, Christians wanting to insert the Bible into politics. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 that we should be concerned with immorality happening in the church, not what is happening in the world. The church’s role is to preach, teach and live what we believe. I am convinced if the Christian church was not so worldly, many practicing immorality would be converted. So stop blaming the politicians (the external) and look at the church (the internal). The solution is Jesus in us, not with the politicians.

I know I have broken the law of God. If we break one we’ve broken them all. I won’t cast a stone. Only the pure and holy has a right to cast stones and He doesn’t. The enemy will magnify the sins of others and uses people to join him as an accuser.
So it sounds like if God is allowing Danny to continue in ministry and to be happily married to his lovely wife, maybe God is at fault and has overlooked sin. Tragedy!!

If you read Deuteronomy you will see the children of Israel questioned God to Moses. It made God angry with their lack of trust and faith in Him. Please be careful how you question God. He never said we could not ask but do so with a reverence and unconditional understanding that God knows best and will do so for His children. He waits to answer our concerns. Yes I too believe that He is far greater than our worldly SDA doctrines and sin filled perspectives of who He is. God is not conformed to a religion. Every person on this earth exists because He gave them breath. He loves everyone to the point He died for us all. This is Danny’s message. We get so caught up in our own thought process that we cannot hear our brother right next to us. How happy this makes Satan is only imaginable. I see him dancing like a leprechaun in glee over our chaos and indignation with one another. When we stand obediently before our God, waiting on Him alone to lead, that is when we display the greatest light of Truth and Love to others. Now is the day to do this. By the grace of God may we remember this every second of every day.
