There are 2tiers. First is the magical doping that she uses in the first fight of the series. The boost in the video is thanks to her holy/cursed artifact (eyes turn gold). Being X partially possesses her, turning her into a bloodthirsty religious fanatic (she's a strict agnostic) praising him and chanting prayers for mayor spells. This mental contamination is why Tanya only uses the artifact in desperate situations.

This story happened because some Japanese accountant couldn't hold a job, got petty about being justly fired, and God decided to preach to and argue with, the soon to be dead man that morally, and technically did the right thing in the situation. God then decided to ALSO be petty, because apparently he is a self-centered child that isn't happy unless he frequently receives praise and recognition from all the creatures he created (and whom he tortures on a daily basis), by reincarnating this salaryman that was just doing his job into an orphan German girl in another world to force him to accept God by putting him through endless trials and suffering. I've always been n Atheist, ever since I decided to form my own opinion about Christianity (which I was born into), so I've never really liked the God that the religion is based around, but I _particularly_ hate _this_ depiction of him for just how utterly pathetic he seems to be. He's basically using his powers to cheat in his attempts to prove the salaryman wrong.
The manga version of this scene is WAY BETTER, with acrobatic moves that made her look like she was doing a dance in mid air and "edited" footage by Being X to the Francois republic BEAUTIFYING Tanya during her "prayer" before unleashing a HUGE explosion spell...

There were some black people in the regular french army. Not a lot, but still some. Also berbere are whiter. He's more look like a mixed french-senegalese. Which would make sense. Some french - senegalaise couple have a child, they decide to raise him in France, he joins the army.
