Something that got my baby bearded dragons to LOVE salads is move the greens around with my finger that makes it more interesting until they finish the salad, and put different colored vegetables/fruits to help with them seeing it better. Otherwise I absolutely love how you listen to his body language and spend time with him. Hope that helps! ❤️
20 minutes 😳 my beardie literally eats anything I give him. I can give him something and leave to wash my hands, come back, his food is done and he wants more. Obviously o can’t give him a lot tho
Thank you so much for all the useful information. We have two Bearded Dragons and they are great pets. We love them. Where did you find your mat to go on the bottom of the cage? Also how much vinegar to water do you add to clean? Thank you so much 😊
Great video! Thank you! Where did you get that material to line the floor of his tank? I am tired of using tile as this files my beardie's nails too much and I don't like to use substrate and artificial grass or those green mats that are a pain to clean. What you use seems to be easy to clean.
this was very helpful! i’m getting my bearded dragon next month so doing all my research now and gathering all the supplies needed beforehand! so excited
How is your beardie doing? What's his meals? How big is the cage? I hope you have a big cage cause they deserve the big cages! They are a bit of a reinvention worker, if you got sand, dirt, soil, anything that he can dig in, he reinvents a lot, we have red sand for our beardie and he has patches of the bottom glass of his cage just because he wanted to reinvent, they do have loads of fun with reinventing in the substrate! Beardies should have an opportunity to dig and hide in a natural cave, we built one for our beardie and he loves it, maybe build one and fill it up with substrate, cause they love to dig in and customise their cage/home! That's all I think! Please don't think it's mean, it's just an idea for your beardie!
You seem like a really good and attentive owner, but as a dragon breeder myself, I'd highly, highly recommend dubia roaches as Kirby's primary (if not only) protein source. They're meaty, packed full of protein, relatively low in fat, and easy for dragons to digest. Kirby looks like he'd do best with L/XL sized ones. You can buy some online, throw them in a feeder keeper, and as long as you throw in some food and liquid gel from time to time, they'll last indefinitely without smelling, cannibalizing each other like crickets do, or escaping. I know you didn't ask for any type of care guide, but I just want Kirby to be as healthy as possible :)
I don't know where she's from but in Canada, which is where Im from, dubai roaches aren't allowed in the country! I've got a Leo and even though the roaches are really great for them, I can't get them :(
Hi I don’t have a bearded dragon yet but with a few years of research you need to have greens like you have and like carrots and peppers to keep them hydrated but I would recommend doing research on the greens and vegetables that they need and give him more of a variety also 10/10 other than that
Hi, I'm just researching before commiting to getting a bearded dragon. What's the deal with the bath and the poop? Is that to get them to go there instead of messing in their cage? Do you do it every day?
I put Toothless' (AKA Toofie) worms in his salads. he absolutely loves his veggies, but he is spoiled when it comes to presentation. And putting the worms in it also make sure that he gets his veggies and protein at the same time. just a little tip for anyone that has problems with their beadie eating their veggies. he also does not like the same color. So I can’t use a lot of green, or just red or just yellow. So I have to mix it up. So some yellow bell pepper with some kale, with maybe a grape, etc etc. but if it is not mixed properly and is not different colors where he can see those different colors, he will not eat it. He also has to watch me add his freeze dried crunchy shrimp to the top. Yes, my beardie is bougie.
Does the water have to be 90 degrees farinheight or Celsius, pretty sure farenheight and when it’s to hot in one spot of the cage where would you move the lamp would it be there other side to cool the hot side down
absolutely! just have the tv brightness at its lowest setting if you can. my tv is right across from the tanks and as long as it’s not super bright they’re still fast asleep
every dragon is different! my babies don’t mind loader music, even at night, but some dragons might find it too much. so just play some loud music and see how they react at first. if they seem disturbed by it then don’t. but every dragon is different (: feel free to ask any more questions
I don’t know what to do my mum is slowing me to get a small pet what can live in my room but it’s ever a hamster or a bearded dragon I have until after Christmas
You have a great ASMR voice I think you're dragging couldn't get a grip on the white plate and was sliding across my dragons do the same thing on their plate great video really relaxing to watch
Your lights (both heat bulb and UVB) should be on about a 12 hour schedule. So 12 hours on during the day and 12 hours off at night. Although, the temperature should never go lower than about 72 degrees at night. DO NOT get a red bulb for the night time as it will disturb their sleep.
@@mya4983 both kirby and pumpkin have their lights go on at 8am and off at 8pm. i have a plug in timer that goes into the light socket that connects to an app that has the lights automatically turn off and on at those times.
now that Kirby is 1 year old, I feed her bugs 2-3 times a week (less now that she is brumating) and offer greens every day. occasionally i give her worms but those are just as snack and should not be given every time you give them bugs. staple bugs should be roaches, crickets, etc. not worms. fruits and other certain vegetables should be given on occasion as well as a treat and not every day. i hope that helped a little! 🥰
I currently bath every sort of 7 - 10 days and then depending on shedding I'll do more times in the same period. Live food is the best way to go and it's also pretty good for exercise (at least for mine) because she'll chase em around after being lazy most of the day ^^
Where do you get your meal worms from? My local pet store only has them in small containers filled with some type of sawdust or something. Would love to find them in a container like yours.
hey so i just wanted to put this out there, meal worms can actually make your beardie’s really sick, they can cause blockage in the digestive system which is not good for there tummy’s, they also don’t have a lot of nutrients that they need.. i feed my beardie hornworms, super worms, silk worms, and dubia roaches. she loves it! but in all i would switch to super worms or any that i just mentioned. ty! 💕
Bearded dragon smiles are just so dang cute
i need to tell my owner to hook me up with this tank because GOSH
Highly recommend. I have the same exact tank

Carol Baskin! That caught me off guard but made me laugh for a solid 5 minutes after.
Lol right?!😂
Lol ikr
Kirby appears to be a real sweetie. I loved when you relaxed and cuddled with him

That’s one happy, loved dragon! 😊. Congratulations to you both. ❤️👍🏻

It is very easy to clean! It’s called a zen mat from zen habitats. You may need to cut it to fit your tank size though

I literally just came across this and I am instantly in love with Kirby. (Why does my own beardie act the same way tho, always ignoring the salad)

Trust me, you dont have to "move the worms so he knows they're there". His vision is far more impeccable than yours.
awww kirby is so cute😻
He gets better care than most humans.

I'm convinced beardies are reincarnated and have already been there and done it all, therefore they straight chill now
Kirby would like some coffee in the morning !!
What mat do u use? Might buy it
What kind of mat/flooring is that you have?
Oh god Kirby is the cutest!!
How long will the worms stay alive kept in the fridge?
I really like that you give him mealworms and wax worms so that it’s kind of balanced out But I do recommend crickets
the worms are just a treat but his staple protein is crickets
Their just adorable😍🤗🐊💜I i want one ir maybe two
Very cool guy. They run wild in Australia. Its not uncommon to find baby dragons in your back yard
Omg! I love your beardie! Alothough I wouldn’t feed him wax worms. Their not very good for them at all, and it gives them issues later on.
I noticed he dead pooped in the bath Lolol my beardie did the same on my bed🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣 they are so cute tho
