- Not a perfect run, but I'm satisfied. In the end this matchup is too much dependant on ZSD, SWB and air dunk. So a lot of RNG. Now I prefer to take a little break from TA runs (I made a lot of them in the past months) and recharge the batteries before facing the remaning Apexs and rematch Valstrax!

Impressive as usual, Benji! I'm surprised the Ibushi SA ended up pulling ahead of the Valstrax one, a loss for our dear elemental phials... But Ibushi SA is also really cool so I'll allow it! :P That Remobra at 1:24, however, seemed quite mad at you...
Yeah Remobras don't love me. Idk why. Anyway, in the end I think the Valstrax Switch Axe is the best to use against Apex Rath. But when you do a lot of unga bunga, ZSD + SWB, air dunk with Rath still in Apex mode, the great raw of Ibushi I think is little better. In any case both of them are great to fight this monster. And you know what? I got good results even with para Switch Axe

But it seems like the one that would be most annoying to run with, as Paras eating dunks or Apex trips would get old really fast

Any reason for choosing ibushi over valstrax axe?
Valstrax is better overall, I reccomend using it for hunting this monster. Hovewer, taking in consideration that the head of Apex Rathalos is 80 HZV when is in rage, in my case where I go unga bunga mode with ZSD and SWB (which the final explosion can't crit and scales with raw power) with the goal to get also air dunk and the 120 point of blu sharpness, Ibushi was the best choice for me. But I got similar times with Valstrax Switch Axe too, so it's not a big difference.

@@storx61 Ok but just remember the set for a speedrun often is different from a set for general use. Especially for TA runs. For example when you play normally you can bring a Palico with Rousing Roar (which boost your affinity of the 30%)!
