As I sat at home after one of Eastern Australia's coldest days this year so far. Eating pea and ham soup with a mountain of toast, it was good to have that old familiar flute music and you and Saku off on another adventure. Sure makes for a great days end.
I flew home the weekend before this and spent the weekend in over the country ice-fishing. It was cold that year, just brutal winds. Had a few hot Toddy`s... hahaha. Following year it was raining, then sloppy snow, snow, & blowed a gale.... we set up the tarp and spent a couple nights again,... couldn`t see across the pond for drifting snow. We were tucked away pretty good, and had an awesome time. I usually do this the first weekend of Feb and last weekend of March. Fly in on Thursday morning and fly out Monday afternoon back to Halifax. Since then we now have a couple Go-Pro`s to take some videos to show family and friends. Love watching your videos. They keep me at peace. Stay safe..!!
Great work Justin myself an my 11 year old just love all your videos we are in the great outdoors ourselves, you are a true pioneer keep up this beautiful outdoors GOD BLESS YOU
Always entertaining, and informative for someone that’s interested in winter camping and travelling,I think you were born 100 years to late definitely an explorer and adventurer, great work
Thank you Justin for taking the time to make your videos, I know they take a lot of time out your day to make them with all the walking back to get your camera after you get the right shot sometimes doing it two or more times. Thank you I do enjoy these videos of you and your friend out on a trek. I don't remember temp that low here in Essex England in my lifetime.
There's always some butt wipe that has to break glass. Pretty crappy leaving the batteries, too. For pulk tips check out the Winter Trekker forum. A few brackets and your sleds won't slide sideways. Thanks for the video.
Mine is going great. Picked myself up a cheap 3 wheeler and am spend time getting out exploring. We are gonna be doing an overnight on the bikes. It's my nephew, sister, bro in law and myself. Should be an adventure
I'm sitting in air conditioning, it seems cold there. If Saku could talk, what stories he could tell. Great video, as always, love the stuff you put out. All the Best.
Yes sir ! Justin is in the wild again ! I like very much your videos, your adventures are awesome. I think people of MSR should send you a new tent for free as you are the best ambassador of there product after all it went trought. On my last winter camping trip I was complaining about the Weight of my sled with the gear , around 75 pounds 😂 . Looking forward to part 2
So glad to see another video. I think I speak for everyone when I say the regular uploads keep us hooked! Have you ever thought about running expeditions?
John, dont speak for me. I like the irregular upload, those waiting pangs and the flush of excitement when an upload finally comes out. That and the daags
i would love to run expeditions down the road and probably will but I am far from an expert with lots left to learn so for now it will be more trips. Can't complain
Noticed a few of the other outdoors channels are now getting into 'expeditions' and more canoeing, think you are ahead of the curve a bit and have a few on the bandwagon...should get some of the bigger ones to give you a shout out now and again and throw a bit of traffic your way. Thanks from wet Ireland, looking forward to the next one.
@@jtns2845 it's not at all likely I'll get there but it's good to know. I remember an episode of the "Waltons" a 70s to 80s show. Some family members were lost and a son scared a black bear by hitting to large rocks together. Probably historically accurate too. I'd try that to scare coyotes. Bet it would work.
@@snugbug5067 people have watched too many hollywood movies. Wolves and bears normallly will stay as far away from people as they can. If you know there are bears in the area, go a far circle around your tent and they will keep out. Shotgun ofcourse for extra safety. (bears only summer time of course, sleeping in winter)
When i watched your planning and excitement starting out on your wilderness exploration I wondered if something like this would benefit Young Offenders or boys heading to a boys home just getting started on their road to a lifetime of crime. I mean preteens/early teens still not too late to walk this way💗
Watching the video last night had me yearning for winter already. You’ve got excellent shots and the editing is spot on. I’m looking forward to the next video.

It is beautiful there. So wild and pristine ! I'm guessing there are no wolves on the island of NFL. But are there coyotes ?
There are wolves yes, they come down from Labrador on the ice. Lots of coyotes too
