MST3K - Favorite Moments - Boggy Creek 2: And the legend continues...

- In episode 1006 independent movie maker Charles B. Pierce subjects us to a rather hairy, local Arkansas legend in the form of Boggy Creek 2.
A professor (played by Pierce himself) takes three of his students (including Pierces' own rather thinnish looking son whose lack of physique is constantly exposed to our viewing displeasure) on a trip into the wilderness of Arkansas to try to get evidence of the local, hairy Bigfoot, the Boggy Creek monster.
This leads to a movie which primarily consists of watching our protagonists go camping, drive through mud, talk to the local (and equally hairy) hillbilly population, and project other people's stories about their rather unexciting encounters with the creature -- including the "legendary" outhouse poop scene.
This movie basically starts nowhere and insists on taking its unsuspecting audience on a guided tour through it.
Fun facts: Charles B. Pierce is allegedly the writer who coined the famous Dirty Harry phrase "go ahead, make my day" for Sudden Impact, which he has joint writers credit for along with Earl E. Smith.
He passed away on March 5, 2010, and though he didn't exactly express pride for making Boggy Creek 2, he still deserves our thanks.
Not so fun fact: The Boggy Creek monster is actually known as the Fouke monster because of the little town of Fouke where it was allegedly seen back in 1964.
Anyway, look out for Bambi's stepmother, the calling for insane hogs, an unnatural swelling, the inability to regain consciousness when dead, the confirmation of farmers' existence, a castrato, a chunky Rembrandt, a cow blowing a tire, Ron Pearlman, the enjoyment of nature through pollution, a poop emergency, sniffing of arm sweat, the invention of an aphorism, Lucy Braless, the target website, a monster with a camera strapped to its helmet, a guy too thin to hear, belching of the alphabet, a geriatric lifeguard, a skidmark on the ceiling, a couple of river bottoms, the Oval Faubus museum, and exposure of the little creature.
Enjoy! - Приколы
Boggy Creek 2 has my favorite MST movie epilogue EVER:
"So, the once-great Monster Studies department went under. Tanya and Leslie brought me up on charges of course, and Tim just kind of wandered off and we haven't seen him in years."
Omg that's hilarious 😂
"of course", lol!
One of my favorite MST3K episodes, I always try to catch it when it is streaming on YT or Twitch.
I watch MST with my younger ones and they love it. One of the first reaction channels. We just watched this one, they loved it. Devil Fish is another house favorite.
You know, a Razorback hat lacks the quiet dignity of a giant cheese wedge.
Funny because it’s true🧀😁
Of course Mike was the one to say that XD
My favorite Tom Servo line ever: "Going down the road, looking for a Waffle House, drinkin' lot's of Wild Turkey."
One of mine, too. I just realized I've been singing it to the melody of "Take it Easy" by The Eagles.
I sing it every time I eat at a waffle house.
The first time I heard that I laughed so hard I almost drove off the road!
I came here today looking for this song.
“We have E gallons” is my response anytime someone asks about the amount of gas in something.
Lolololol
"Can I borrow a cup of shirt?" LOL
You need to work on yer cameltoe son
"And the legend continues to not be heard about by anyone." LOL
"We're looking for the Boggy Creek Creature."
"I MARRIED HER! HEH HEH!"
I think that line is so funny because those two old guys look like the exact kind of old Southern guys who'd make a joke like that.
That's is what I say to my dad since he married my stepmom xD
This movie reminds me waaaay too much of growing up in Arkansas.
How far are you from TexArkana?
Josh Porter That's why this legend will continue. For I feel God intended it that way.
And I will NOT “Call Again”
Arkansas still has that 70s charm
Literally all of this is a majority of my constant humor. Ive said so many of these lines with no context ❤❤
This episode is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I still laugh after seeing it 20 times.
That’s exactly why I just looked it up for probably the hundredth time! : )
I swear to god this, laserblast, Prince of space and werewolf complete me.
Also "pew-may-men" is an honorable mention.
I can't help but laugh when I watch this movie.
Hahaha it's hysterical. They're so merciless to poor skinny Tim.
"Yes I'm skinnier."
"Geez, do a push-up, kid."
"Here, let me talk to stick boy."
"Tim's too thin to hear."
"You were right about one thing...that was an unnatural swelling..." Lol love this episode.
"Suddenly I was attacked by a Muppet!"
"WHERE'S THE MONEY YOU SON OF A BITCH?!"
Crow: *SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM!!!!*
Did you give him his teddy human, too?
"I put Tim front to absorb the first hail of bullets." Mike that was mean as hell XD!!!
+Frequent-Blackouts Plus as skinny as Tim is, he's not gonna stop more than three or four rounds, tops!
"Please don't be splayed..."
This is where the Legend works the night shift.
"Wanna put this on your Klan account?" LOL
"There's a skid mark on the ceiling!"
"He suggested we stop down and see ya."
("He said nothing about your marvelous breasts!")
I'm an MST3K junkie, and my favorite episode is either this or "Final Sacrifice." Both can make me cry from laughter.
..bibbity bobbity bozdower!"
"I accidentally swallowed the knife!"
“Know him? He was delicious!”
There's a legend of a beer in these swamps....
"How much gas do we have?" "We have E gallons."
"There's a strange wonder of a creature living here and I'm determined to kill it no questions asked."
Looks like it was filmed in the early seventies not mid-eighties. I was shocked to find out it was made in 1985.
Ummmm the ORIGINAL was made in 1972….So I’d love to know how the sequel would be filmed IN THE SAME YEAR!
@@6Haunted-Days You had 11 years to try to find an error in my statement and, yet, you still failed... It still could have been made in early 70's and my statement stands correct, since '73 and '74 would constitute the early 70's. Plus I never said it was made in '72 - duh! Are you somehow related to the cast & crew and got offended that I would dare comment on the quality of the cinematography? How did you even make over it here? Seem kinda dull to be watching MST3K...
Well 1985 is the last year of the 70s.
you cows are in so much trouble.......jumping over the moon!!!
"We're looking for the Boggy Creek creature."
"I married her!"
Otis Tucker never regained consciousness....He was dead so it made sense!
“I’ll be damned, farmers do exist!”
Much of this country is still and should remain unspoiled. (As blue smoke poured from my motor)
this episode made me late for work the first time i saw it because every line was classic. I couldnt stop laughing!
Well, what the hell is that?
Best Tom servo quote ever!
Mustache Dad, the Early Years. This is how Bella's mom and him met....And then he became a sheriff. It all makes sense now.
Hey there legend, how's the continuing going?
Ted Nugent? Slash? Rob Zombie? ....Cher???
Good night Tim, wherever you are.
You missed my favorite quote: "That's it, no more corn liquor on my Total for breakfast..."
Here's where the legend works the night shift.
“I’m polluting the water AND making noise. “
"From the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Jimmy Clem."
YES, these river bottoms
Thank goodness for the jeep's breaking distance of 500 YARDS.
This is the story of fried pork rinds.
12:00 Old Man Crenshaw, the best part of the movie, lol..
I claim this land for Arkansas!
Two riffs from that scene Auritone didn't include that kill me every time:
"Why is she whittling a tennis ball?"
"At this point, my hair blanketed my football head..."
THEYRE PUNTING THE DEERS HEAD!!!!!!
You wanna contribute to our fund for the war against Northern aggression?
auritone, thank you for uploading your 'favorite moments' posts. Your summary descriptions alone are hilarious. Happy New Year!
RIP Mr. Pierce
THERES A SKID MARK ON THE CEILING
Mike: "That's a half-hearted attempt at a porn name..." lol
Tims Shirt went to shirt heaven, where it would later be met by Jacob Blacks shirt
SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM!
My wonderful discovery...let's kill it!
Being about as thin as Tim is, I can confirm that it means being unable to hear things.
On the wings of a snow white dove...
my girlfriend is from arkansas so I laugh at this a little bit harder... this is my favorite from mst3k
and it's got a gun so don't try anything
My wonderful discovery...LETS KILL IT!
“Perhaps they could fashion their eye makeup into a crude spear”
The Legend of Ron Perlman.
“Ted Nugent?! Slash?! Rob Zombie?! ...Cher..?!”
hey legend hows the continuing going?
I'm "GO"-ing! The cheerleaders' plan is working!
"Back to the more serious side..." A Urine Story....
Suddenly I was attacked by a Muppet
"Where's the money, you son of a bitch?!"
Can i borrow a cup of shirt lol
"You need to work on your camel-toe, son."
we have E gallons!
Due to my whereabouts in the early '70s, I've probably seen and heard more advertising for the original "Legend of Boggy Creek" than any other movie ever made. That one's a hoot even without robot commentary: done as a full-on documentary, we never see the monster, and it never lays a hairy finger on any person or piece of property. The only evidence of its existence is an unearthly howling at night, and after a night of two women panicking in a locked cabin the only casualty is the cat they let out, found dead the next day without a mark on it, "scared to death".
Insanely hilarious!
Love these guys
roflmao "We both fergot er teeth!!"
Rest in peace Cindy Butler aka Leslie
Me and the castrato will check this out.
YES these river bottoms....although nice backsides!
Don't sexualize Tim like that.
During the credits where they were all talking for the mother & child creature was the best
Can’t find this episode any longer on RUclips, but at least we have it’s best moments…
It's up there, just look -- Mst3k 1006
Tana, do you read? Third grade level.
I actually saw the non MST3k version on tv several times through the years on premium channels.
There was nothing else on that I hadn't seen and this movie fled my mind shortly after. I think I also saw the first boggy creek on tv too.
10:15, I hope to God they said "flashlight".
13:30 hold on I'm going to belch the alphabet here.
"Jim Stafford's bathwater." 🤣
I saw the little creature!
Nooo!
I never understood how that if Otis Tucker never regained consciousness..how the hell did they know what happened out in the woods! he could have been attacked by a ground squirrel.Plot hole fest in this Pierce gem.
Well, not to defend this film, but if the creature is an urban legend and Otis Tucker got attacked in the woods by something that wasn't human (and not a regular animal), it stands to reason he may have been attacked by the creature.
Yeah. I never understood that part either.
"Lemme alone you guys"
"Hang on, I'm gonna belch the alphabet..."
So a guy changed a tire... the believability rating is quite high here.
Man, this makes me glad I live in the North, no matter how cold it gets.
I'm a southern guy and these are some pretty hyperbolized stereotypes. Still my fav mst3k movie of all time.
I AM that wild man
XD lol
Anyone ever count how many MST movies take place in a swamp?
There's a skidmark on the ceiling!!
The weird part chuck pierce also made the first boggy creek and it’s actually a decent horror flick and the inspiration for the Blair witch project. Don’t know what the hell he was thinking with this but thank god mst3k got ahold of it lol
Apparently neither did he. He was not too happy with it. 😊
@@auritone well those shorts were only acceptable for women or eunchs
@@toomanyaccounts Yep, these river bottoms...
Here, let me talk to stick boy. LMFAO!!!!
This episode was awesome.
I think he's mistaking the creature with the Allman Brothers Band
"Drivin' down the road/Lookin' for a Waffle House/An' drinkin' lots of Wiiiild Turkey!"
yeeeeee hawwww!
(Scream) There's a skid mark on the ceiling!
Hey Legend, how's the continuing goin?
Yes, he has passed... He didn't want to do this film, but he was told to because the first one was good.
"Hey Legend! How's the continuing goin'?"
