Elsie was my ma-laws cousin she used to tell stories about her racey cousin. We have some old photos of her performing as a very youg girl. At one stage she was banned by the BBC over one of her songs, we believe. she was the first female singer to earn this dubious honour. Eat your heart out Maddna
Wonderful British encore today. Many thanks.

My favorite selection on here Ron, good choice.
A real fun time listening to this music. Thanks much.
I used the money you sent to help buy 14 new records from the UK which arrived today. I hope the German sides by Hans Carste are ones I will like. Thank you for the donation Larry!
Great rendition of We Were So Young with Carroll and Petrie in top form. Thanks Bob!
You are welcome and glad you enjoyed that selection as well. The orchestra and vocalist both give us a very polished rendition of this tune.
Thank you Bob for reposting these incredible songs. They were so enjoyable to listen to.
Keep on listening to them Craig. Are you getting my posts that I put in the Community section of the channel? Remember, your Bell in the upper right hand corner of the page needs to have the ring marks on each side of it. This indicates that your new posts from my channel are turned on. RUclips's default is to turn them off. You have to turn them on or you wont' get new post notifications.
Gracias por toda esa maravillosa música que habla desde el pasado de un tiempo más sosegado y tranquilo; en la que mi abuelo escuchaba su "vitrola" sus discos de 78rpm, y ahora son parte de mis más queridos recuerdos. Excelente !
Fine selection! Billy Scott-Coomber also sings on Rhythmititis which he composed with Billy Thorburn. It was a good feature to show of the talents of Jack Payne's BBC Dance Orchestra.
Thank you for the name on the other vocalist. I like this song a lot. I get a chuckle out of the "put out your tongue" ah ah, funny.
Great selection of British music pax41, now I'm also hooked on them! Alan
Good thing to get hooked on :)
Thanks again.
Truly delightful
Excellent as always!
Thanks again

Thank you for watching Daniel.
Brain needed a treat like these: Thanks.
I really love this collection and especially the up'right bass =)
Glad you liked it and thank you for subscribing!
All very nice as usual. Thank you for sharing them. By the way, the name of the second song is "Rhythmatitis".
Thanks for introducing Elsie Carlisle to me.
My pleasure and I have more by her Will.
Ah, neat -- I've been on a British bands kick lately; they had such a different sound from their American counterparts. Have to give top honors to "Little Man," as that was my bedtime song (actually as "Little Girl ...") when I was a tot; Mom sang it to me. :-)
I have several versions of that song. It must have been really popular. I agree the British bands had different sound.
My mother used to sing that to me also.
Dziękuję.

Was wondering if I could enlist your help in figuring out a song name for me. It's the song at the beginning of the video. Here's a link:
Mundo Primitivo 3 temporada capitulo 06
If you could help me out, or know someone that could, that would be grand!
Thanks
Sorry, no luck on your question. I had a good friend check it out and he can't tell either.
pax41 Ah, alright. Thanks for checking it out!
***** this is very late i know but, in case you still don't know the song is; 'New Tiger rag' - billy cotton and his band
gabrielle davies I apologise for the late reply, but I can't seem to find a link for the song. I've searched it on RUclips, but what I've found didn't match up. Could you send along what you had, by chance? Thanks for your help!
gabrielle davies Gabrielle it's not the song in my video that he is asking about. It's the one in the link that he attached here to his request.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
