I‘m a huge G&L fan. Got me an ASAT classic a few years ago, and i just love this guitar.
As a bassist i can confirm that is one of the best looking and sounding basses ive seen!!!!
Hey Jen, I hope your grandfather makes it out okay. He'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I have been watching GotD since May of 2016. You guys are incredible and I've learned so much from these videos. I know video editing alone is mentally taxing. And then I know you have other responsibilities. So enjoy your break! I'll be watching like I do everyday.
And whenever I visit Cali for the second time I'll have to stop by. I probably couldn't afford anything as I don't make that much money, but I'd just like to marvel at the guitars.

Love them G&L's! This one still looks quite modern in terms of design even now.
So I will put in my 2 cents. I bought a G&L asat a few years ago and I feel that G&L and Guild are very underrated. You get a good product for a good price. Keep up the good work you two and I wish you and your family the best Jen. Keep your head up and keep smiling.

My ASAT Classic is a thinline however I have played a Strat type (I think it was called a Comanche or something) and yes it was heavy

I played an ASAT bass for 10 years. It was a great bass, and at 10.5 lbs, a pain from the neck all the way down. Still, the best bass I ever owned. Beats Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Hofner, Danelectro, in my experience.
Love G&L guitars! My main axe is a '94 ASAT Special in black. The pickups take some getting used to, but they are versatile especially with the adjustable pole pieces.

G&Ls rule! The L-2000 is one of the sickest basses ever made. A most elegant beast. The Interceptor would look much better if it had an ebony board.

Much over looked bass!!! G&L made some really great guitars and basses. The middle finger to fender head stock turned a lot of people off. But most were high quality well build machines. All my prayers go out to Jen.

The Bass Kahler is like a roller coaster or tilt a whirl. It's really phenomenal for six minutes and then its like, I am really not enjoying this that much anymore.

Mine's a sunburst with the frets removed. I play pick up switch in the middle, tone switches on, both tone knobs on 10. Nice clean sound.

Love seeing a bass like this one that kinda flew under the radar! It is a Leo Fender creation after all. The two straight angular ends is a pretty radical design too! The best part is that this is not a Precision or Jazz Bass (Yawn!!!).
Don't know if it was the songs Mark played or that Rumble 200 but that bass sounded awesome!!

Mark, thanks for showing us "...some of the bells and whistles" again. It really does give us a MUCH better idea of what sorts of tones a prospective buyer/actual player might get from the axe. Hell, I'll personally Guarantee that at least SOME of your subscribers have no idea what kinds of sounds they can get from phase, coil tap, OR boost switches just alone by themselves, not to mention how they might sound, all together. Yeah, I know you guys sell a lot of guitars and basses from these videos, but I'm certain you'll sell even MORE if you would showcase those extra switches more often. And you don't have to play six songs to do it, either - just tell us you're "going to flip the "_________" switch on this next one...how rad was THAT?!?" Then on the next one, "Okay, I'm gonna flip the "______" switch in the middle of this one..." How freakin' rad was THAT?!?" Etc., rad nauseum. (see what I did there? 😎

gus dupree sure, I’ll share a funny story with a complete stranger. I was at a work outing with a new regional manager and a bunch of guys under him. There was an opening on his regional team. We were all on golf carts riding around in circles trying to find the first tee. What did I yell? “Rock and Roll, hello Cleveland! HELLO CLEVELAND!”. He was a huge guitar nut. Guess who got the open spot? Lol
