Hi! Just discovered you on instagram and now I'm here on youtube. Interesting stories. I have one too. My mom had been fighting cancer for 3 years. She was on hospice care at home and a week before Halloween, the decorative lights in the bay window in the living room didn't work any more. (They were on a timer.) Mom passed on the afternoon of Oct. 31st and those lights went on that night. Mom and I both loved Halloween so I'm thinking it was her way of saying everything was ok.
I love your ghost stories! I had my bedside lamp switch on many yrs ago in the middle of the night. I found out the next day someone had broke into our garden. I think it was my Dad warning me.
Love hearing about your experiences. My husband and I, Gay, have been married for 40 years and have had many experiences. One time, I was in the bathroom and the cold water turned on by itself!! When I would walk our dog at nite the street lamps would turn off as I approached and then go back on when I past. The place we are now is very haunted..lots of things going on. Our pets who have passed visit...jumping on the bed, seeing them out of the corner of our eye, etc. Our current cat, Bumper, is always staring into the hallway at night. I do feel we are both very sensitive. Anyone's thoughts....???
Oh my goodness! That’s so spooky. And so interactive like with the street lights and your pets jumping on the bed. Definitely sounds like you both are sensitive! Do you find the experiences scary or are you more used to it?
If I were you, I'd buy some crosses and hang several of the crosses around your Home. Or leave a Bible open on a table. Here's my story...in the house we lived in, built maybe 1920s? 30s? One wall had 2 electrical lamp sockets up high on the wall, each had a 6 inch beaded chain to turn the light on/off. I was about 5 years old, time for bed, and I was starring at the socket that I could see, and the 6 inch chain clicked and swung back and forth...I screamed and both my parents came into the room, yelling to me to go to sleep! They saw what I was looking at, and my dad told me to stop touching that and go to sleep and my Mom said: "John, she couldn't reach that if she tried"...so was that a burst of electrical surge something or what??? And they left me there to go to sleep! lol Stayed a memory in my head all these years!!
Oh my gosh that’s so scary, especially for a small child 🫣 it’s amazing how many parents dismiss things like that when they occur (mine did as well)! There’s no way that chain could have pulled itself! What an incredible story. Thank you for sharing!
You didn’t mention whether Toby heard the claws on the wood. Was he already comfortable on the couch when the sound was heard or could he have been fleeing the sound when he came in the room?
I was on a business trip staying on the Queen Mary. I went to bed and turned off all the lights. I woke up in pitch darkness and had to use the restroom. I walked around the bed and suddenly the bathroom light came on showing me I was about to walk head first into the TV cabinet door I had left open. A friendly and helpful ghost?????

If people knew how many ghosts are just wandering around, they would lose it! They aren't necessarily tied to things or people.
I totally agree. They’re just around🫣😝

Good question! He was already comfy on the couch when we heard it (he definitely looked in that direction so I think he heard it too)
