Those shelves are terrific. I think I will swap one out of my shed and bring it inside to my grow room (extra bedroom not used). Bought a shop light from Harbor Freight, 10,000 lumens, 5200 k's for $59 and change. Haven't set it up yet but moving the shelf will give me a place to hang the light. I have 4 small 4 foot lights on a smaller stand. Surely NOT enough space! Thanks for showing us your set up. Love it! Have a great day!
I have the same shelf in black. From Amazon, I ordered gorilla brand opaque shelf liners and I love them. They catch the dirt and water and let the light through!
I have that same shelving unit and don’t know why it took me almost two years to decide on it!! Goals next year- grow more strawflowers! Beautiful harvest! 🌺🌸

Love your videos! 🌷I am a Canadian from southwestern Ontario gardening in a zone 5b. I can totally relate to staying inside during the heat, and we don’t get near as hot as you. You have inspired me to start some rudbeckia for the fall and flowering kale. The kale is struggling but the rudbeckia is doing great! I’m jealous of your Lisianthus! I purchased three from a green house this year. 7.99 each plus tax! I do love them though!
I have the same set up and started exactly as you have, only after my third round of seed starting I have made changes.... each shelf has three lights as I would find when I placed my four trays the seedlings on either end would lean in to reach for the light. This season I changed my trays instead of the usual 72 cell tray I got the 512 plug flats and the 200 cell trays and I do just two trays per shelf. So far so good, and yes I mix seed types within the tray but likes with like... One flat is coleus and basil as I find they have the same requirements. When it's time to pot up I move the ones in the 512 count into the 200 and from the 200 into the 4 in. pots I plan sell my starts in. LOL now by chance can we get a sneak peak as to what you will be seeding??? I live in Texas too ( zone 9 )so and I have enjoyed starting seeds with you

But what I love the most is you got me out of my comfort zone, I'm seeding things I have always been scared too .... and I have NO IDEA why I was always scared to, you make everything look so easy 🥰
So hard to get motivated when it gets hot out. Those shelves are going to be so useful. My zinnias are beautiful right now but yesterday I noticed the powdery mildew is starting. I’m going to try the milk methods to see if I can control it. Cross your fingers 🤞🌷
@@shesamadgardener oh that’s a bummer 🥹 They have been so pretty. We have a porcupine wreaking havoc with gardeners in my neighborhood lol. We are out in the country and have problems with the critters that come with living in the country. 😁

Great new setup! Looovvee that Sahara rudbekia. That's just gorgeous. Do you do the 'wiggle' test when you cut your zinnias? I notice you just go in and harvest.....how do you know when to cut them? 🌸🦋🐝
I grow a smaller amount of flowers so I legit see these from Bud to bloom, so I know how old they are because I’m crazy 😂 I just cut away knowing how many days they have been open.
Looking forward to cooler temperatures though I will have to wait. Starting pansies this week and thinking of fall. Great seed starting setup. Good luck beating the heat. What did people do before air conditioning?

You might be able to grow from seed for your lisianthus! I have a video on it!
