The secret to making musical atmospheres?
*REVERB.*
I mean... Pretty much yeah
Andrew huang is one of my fav youtubers because unlike most youtubers he actually has to do a lot of work to make his vids and also he teaches you stuff and it actually fun to watch to props to you Andrew
JAKEtheGR8P Most of the youtubers? Most of the (good) youtubers DO have a lot of work for a video. Editing is more than you think it is.
Lysander a lot of youtubers that are good are fun to watch and are good editors but it gets boring after a while but Andrew always has new videos that you can learn from and they aren't boring
Then why did you say "unlike most youtubers he actually has to do a lot of work to make his vids"
Because *Unlike Plutoooooooo*
k I'll leave :(
Yea, that's wrong. To get big on youtube you have to put in A LOT of work. Andrew makes music and videos, so yea he does a lot, but that doesn't mean the others don't do a lot too.
Andrew:
*has 1000s of dollars worth of advanced gear and beat making equipment*
*uses chair as drum machine*
10/10 this got a solid chuckle from me
he is the storm that is approaching
Just a side note, a group called RKCB really captivates this sort of sound.
Every new video makes me love your channel even more. This was fascinating and had a beautiful aesthetic, but still kind of vloggy and fun. I just love the mesh of genres you are. Thanks for the consistency and effort; you never cease to impress me.
Yeah, I like the professional advice but intimate mood of the videos.
Dat chair drum lit af🔥
You mean... sit af ? ... oh god ...
C.baumann Baumann lit means something(usually song) is really hot and catchy...
Steve28 it's a pun...
...oh okay
....................
so so helpful wow
i didnt even realise i was early because im always on youtube not notifications
So relatable
John R lol the same
same bro but i guarantee im on youtube more
Your profile picture is the background on my PS4. Firewatch is great!
this track has a really good vibe to it.
You made a vaporwave-esque version of Tame Impala's Currents album
4:15 Is the exact reason to watch Andrew's videos.
it's so fun seeing your process. your dedication and fun are incredible
even though ive only found you recently, i am absolutely in love with your music! you put so much time and effort into your mixes and you tell us exactly what you do in case if anyone else wants to try to recreate it or make something similar. really hope you go to vidcon next year so i can meet you in person!
Disaster hair is better than cap hair
Jesse_diaz3 agreed
It is if you like discount anime hair
Would you ever consider showing how you make that type of drum beat? That sort of glitchy type of IDM-ish drumbeat. Reminds me of Mr. Bill (like in his song "A Simple Song"), and I've love to know how it's done! :D
0:50 is actually the sickest thing i have ever heard. you, andrew, are a genius
this is my new favorite channel, thanks for these great videos man, im feeling really inspired
Andrew the world is lucky to have such talent like you bro! I could never stop learning and being inspired by your videos. Fun and creative, and i’m always impressed my man
very few people that I'm aware of are able to make the kinds of music that entrance me like this one did. you're one of them, Andrew--and you've been doing that to my brain for I don't even freaking know how long, now. keep doing it--it's one of the few things that remind me why I'm too stubborn to completely give up on everything and do something stupid that could end or ruin my life.
Hey man, just started watching your channel. you have concise, knowledgeable videos that include a lot of fun conceptual ideas without being annoying or boring or ignorant. A rare fruit in the youtube landscape. Keep it up!
underated youtube music producer, this guy deserve more subs
I appreciate how he pauses and explains what he's doing. Its really helpful for understanding
This is so cool! Your post production blew my mind. Thank you for doing this and sharing.
You truly have a gift for describing seemingly complicated and boring things and making them incredibly interesting 💚🎧 Keep creating Mr. Haung! you rock 👊
Loooove this track Andrew! Keep these vibes goin' man.
I was like really looking for some sort of adding background vocal that isn't as dominant. And what you did was exactly what I needed, so THANKS!!
I loveee when you really break it down and show us how you produced something!
I love this track! Especially the chords coming in like waves, beautiful :)
Haha, these are all tricks I use in my production all the time. Great minds think alike I guess! Awesome stuff as always Andrew.
So rad and soothing! I love how complex and interesting the synth makes the track sound! Keep up the great work! (Also release the Adventure time songs soon I loved them soon much!)
Dude, you freaking rock. Thanks for sharing your creative processes!
THANK YOU SM I'VE NEEDED THIS FOR RIDDIM AND IDM TRACKS
The aesthetic in your videos is always so pleasing.
Recording the chair... brilliant !
Loved this piece. So soothing!
Notification squad? Andrew you're amazing!!! I love your videos! Great inspiration!
Always awesome to watch you even though I don’t understand half of what you are talking about!
This was awesome man I loved this video just very chill!
loving your videos recently
This video was jawdroppingly awesome and inspiring. Thanks, Huang :D
Very cool, thanks for sharing more of your process!
*I wish my music teacher taught like this.*
I don't think a music teacher could teach like this. By doing this kind of stuff, you can make good music but you won't learn the basis of music, such as the notes, the chords, the rythm...
It's great if you already have the basis but a music teacher is here to make those who don't know anything to music learn... the basis
But that would be cool, indeed ^^
Torgen33 Hm guess that's true
Kaitlyn L your music teacher can teach alot. He can treach you the very basics and the advanced. The thing your teacher cannot teach you is how you use it. An example is lets say you play guitar. Your teachers teach you a scale but you can't just play a scale and call it a song. You play notes within that scale to create music. Then you make it your own by constructing it in a uniqe way you like
Yeah! mine won't stop using ti's and tah's and I've been taking piano lessons for 4 years
Yes
You have so much talent it's just breathtaking. The camera angles the editing the way the clips move with the beat of the song and the song itself 😂 great work dude!!!! Super jealous of you 😉
Seamie Days it's just 20 years of experience
finally subscribed because of this one. you're so good!
I love your videos, they are so natural. That was the best track I've heard from you, reminds me a bit of deep blue day by brian eno. Cheers.
Andrew.... this is amazing ma boiiii
You paint landscapes with your sound, keep on it
dude, so groovy. love your videos man.
Dud you are so talented bro. I love how you can make music out of anything it pretty damn awesome.
So do you have a sample pack or something where I could find those patches?
the vlog quality on this video was phenomenal.
angus cady Production quality or camera quality? Vlog quality isn't a thing
You always make this stuff look so quick and effortless. Is that video editing magic or does it just came super naturally now?
Hey Andrew! I have been making music on my iPhone with Garageband for several years now, and i think it's crazy how good it is for making music and nobody ever made a decent vid about it! You should try it!
I really liked the first half of the song
one of my favourite things youve done so far
this takes me up to the sky man, so good
amazing as always !!
Insanely spacey and awesome track :) Love it
I am one of those Old' people who moves forward with the trends in music; in the vid U just posted I heard a series of synthetic sounds that move my attention back to a dream state or zone. Great Man keep it going. Success will follow
You are awesome!
This is why i call my adhd a blessing in disguise personally saying,if i had just a laptop and a daw i would be all over a track like a kid in a candy store mixing evrything
Awesome video
Loved it... Also,love your 🎸
there's a piece of dirt showing up on the bottom left corner of your camera lens in the footage in the plane. awesome video and music. love watching these!
The old Andrew Huang studio is iconic
This song is so amazing woow you should make a full album of music like this
love it, this is the style I've been going for lately. what are those super short glitchy percs you used at the beginning???
"You just need an address "
Me: Oh shit...
(me is homeless)
Thoroughly impressed myself when I knew you were in Orlando because of your aerial shots between the clouds.
how do you not have millions of subscribers yet?!
I'm so happy this video is out! Very helpful!
omg that drumbeat! so beautiful!
Fred Smearson !!!
that tone change with the chair drums was amazing
love this track and its floatiness!
Once again a fantastic video 😊
hey Andrew love the music. you inspired me to get ableton love the stuff
Your video editing is next level
this video is probably responsible for getting me REALLY into atmospheric dnb
This is the kind of music that makes me think about all the wonderful things this world can bring
Honestly one of the greatest youtubers out there, wish i would have found you earlier :)
Yaaaasss, another video!!
You are amazing dude
TBH I kinda dig that hairstyle
MetikMan SAME
ik
thanks for the tips ! you are awesome !
that shot at the end was so awesome
been listening to this video for a while and I can't stop paying attention to THAT FREAKING CHAIR sound.
Amazing, just breathtaking
Love this track. Very ambient ❤️
I closed my eyes listening to this
(I was falling asleep, it's really relaxing)
but I imagined a stop motion animation made of yarn... a little fox going through the woods, slipping under trees, poking it's head up at random points, all side scrolling, until it reaches an open field, and starts looking at a sky full of twinkling stars, his ear twitching every now and then...
And then he
jumped and curled up
and became a star?
This needs to happen, seriously.
Blimming ace sounds there! Dig the vibe
love these tricks!
You are my no1 music youtuber (i think your the only music youtuber i watch but still) YOUR AWSOME
Hail! Nice video! Hopefully getting launchpad and launch control soon and I can't wait! You are my inspiration.
I was just thinking 'wow Andrew's hair looks great today' and then you covered it up!
The video at the end looks so col!
such a chill song. I like it
Recording 'Ooooh' sound effects and putting them on separate layers and playing a melody with those vocal 'Oooohs' and adding a load of really really wet reverb works really well, similar to your second method!
I love your vids soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much !
Thank you for your videos :)
Greetings from Mexico!
I hope Andrew makes a video where he shows the entire process for this song; I really want to recreate this kind of vibe. so aesthetic.
You're literally the coolest dude on RUclips
I love your work
Love everything about it.
When you were singing the "gibberish" in this video, it sort of had a Jay Park type of feel to it. 👌🏻 Loved it!
