Very useful video. Thanks. You can also buy the entire back cover with the logic board already assembled on it from Chamberlain. That is even easier to install. Thanks agin.
Mine only goes down. Inspected the whole thing twice, via magnifier, multimeter, etc. All seems fine but even at the board arrows. The only one that works is down arrow, same with the clickers. You think is the logic board?
If I was a betting man I would lay my money down on a logic board. You could contact Chamberlain tech support to verify, kind of straight from the horse's mouth sort of thing. Plus if it's a newer machine it may be under warranty and they can send you one for free. Just depends on the age of it. I know they have had problems with wall buttons and logic boards.
Each model varies. I would have your model number and serial number and call Chamberlain tech support. If it's a newer unit I think most of them are three to five year parts warranty. But then again I would just check tech support.
I'm about to order a replacement like this. Battery backup won't stop beeping even with new battery or no battery. Do you happen to know have any advice on a simple way to just stop the darn beeping? Aside from that it works fine. In 10 years I've never needed the battery backup. Seems like there must be a way but I've searched and searched...
Kelly Wilson Hi Kelly. If you unplug the battery that should have stop the beeping. Have you contacted Chamberlain tech support? The very well could be a logic board issue meaning that changing out the logic board is going to take care of that issue.
I know it sounds crazy, but yes, even when I unplug/remove the battery it keeps beeping. I did call them and they helped me troubleshoot. They were great, but that's how I came to the conclusion of the logic board. I think I'll just cough up the money and order it. Thanks for this great video on how to switch it out -- I have it saved so I'll be using your video when it arrives. And thanks for taking the time to reply. I love learning how to take care of stuff like this on my own, thanks to awesome people like you!! :)
My wall controller isn't talking to my Chamberlain belt drive opener but my vehicle clickers work just fine. I called their customer service and they're pretty sure it's the logic board and they're sending me a replacement. I sure hope that does the trick.

🔥💯🔥
How should you connect the remote and wall button after changing your logic board?
The remote you'll have to activate the LEARN button. Then press the remote a couple times.
Wall button goes to terminals 1 and 2.

@@garagedoorgenius just 4 years and 5 month old but let me tell. Like 10,000 cycles, we open and close it like 10 times a day.
@@garagedoorgenius luckily I was under their five year warranty. They are sending the module and logic board.
Awesome 👍🏼!
