Glaucoma (काला मोतिया)
Glaucoma is a group of eye related medical conditions that damage the optic nerve of eye,
The optic nerve is necessary for vision
Thus, that can cause blindness due to damage of optic nerve.
CAUSES OF GLAUCOMA
The increased pressure in our eye, called intraocular pressure, can damage optic nerve
Ocular hypertension
Elevated eye pressure is due to a buildup of a fluid (aqueous humor) that flows throughout the inside of your eye.
Family history of glaucoma
Intraocular pressure (IOP)
Normal eye pressure ranges from 12-22 mm Hg,
Eye pressure of greater than 22 mm Hg is considered higher than normal Called ocular hypertension
SYMPTOMS OF GLAUCOMA
Open-angle glaucoma
Patchy blind spots in both eyes
Tunnel vision
Acute angle-closure glaucoma
Severe headache
Eye pain
Nausea and vomiting
Blurred vision
Halos around lights
Eye redness
DIAGNOSIS OF GLAUCOMA
Visual field test = Checking for areas of vision loss
Pachymetry = Measuring corneal thickness
Gonioscopy= Inspecting the drainage angle
Tonometry= Measuring intraocular pressure
Testing for optic nerve damage with a dilated eye examination and imaging tests
CAN GLAUCOMA BE CURED?
In general, glaucoma cannot be cured, but it can be controlled.
Eye drops, pills, laser procedures, and surgical operations are used to prevent or slow further damage from occurring.
With any type of glaucoma, regular eye examinations are very important to detect progression and to prevent vision loss.
TREATMENT DURING GLAUCOMA
Prescription eyedrop medications include:
Prostaglandins.
Beta blockers.
Alpha-adrenergic agonists.
Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
Rho kinase inhibitor.
Miotic or cholinergic agents
Oral medications
Surgery and other therapies

They work by increase the outflow of the fluid in eye (aqueous humor) & reduce the eye pressure.

mild reddening
stinging of the eyes,
darkening of the iris,

They work by reduce the production of the fluid in eye (aqueous humor) & reduce the eye pressure.

Irregular heart rate
High blood pressure

Red, itchy or swollen eyes

Sir, Due to retina detachment vitrectomy(PPV) operated renowned eye hospital but patient suffering secondary glaucoma in right eye after surgery. Advice/drops was not given for eye pressure.Presently pressure 28(R/E),24(L/E) Medicine prescribed by local doctor for right eye SIMBRINZA (Twice a day),NETALO(At 9pm), and Lupltros-z (10 pm) from 21/Jan/2022. Vision blurred. Kindly advise for the benefit of the patient as soon as possible.

Sir, on 22March i had been operated... After that pressure used to be 9,12,17..this is what my Dr. Told me. Now there is fluid formation n lense is being pushed ahead due to it... This is second lense, first being cut (multiple cuts were there). In all 3operations, hv, been done since 8Jan 2021 to 22 May. On left eye.

मेरी बाई आंख का 24 है और दाई आंख का 22 है प्रेसर। बाई आंख जिसका प्रेसर24 है, उसमे पूरा धुँधला दिख रहा है,बल्ब के सामने र8नग दिखता है,अभी 10 दिन से, तो क्या मेरी आँख सही हो सकता है,मुझे कौन सा ड्रॉप डालना चाहिय, डॉक्टर ने तो केवल मोक्सीफ्लॉसासिन ड्रॉप, ओर लुब्रिकेंट दे के 1 मकहिने बाद बुलाया है,इसको यूज़ करो तो सुबह आंख पूरा सूखा हुआ होता है,ऐसा लगता है,जैसे आंख छील जाएगा।
कृपया बतायं में क्या करूँ।

I have been used vidinorm(Brimonidine Tartrate &Timolol Maleate), but some times during the taken this eyes drop, some quantity of drops liquid goes in neck. Kindly inform me, This medicine not harms to me for long time use.
