I am so glad that I found this tutorial. I am working on a book and the formatting has been driving me crazy. I've written the book in Pages and trying to figure out everything by watching tutorials have been a nightmare. I love using Canva and I had no idea I could create my book by using it. Your tutorial is so easy to understand and now I will be able to do the formatting myself instead of paying someone to do it. I am a writer on a budget, lol. Thank you for this tutorial
This really helped me. I'm working with Cana and had no idea how to do double sides ( print on front and back). I watched so many videos and your was perfect. Thank you for taking your time to sharing all this great information.. Also, I like that you showed evry step and didn't skip over any thing..
I just want to say a big Thankyou, I followed your instructions and it was perfect. I managed to publish my book and have qualms about the margins being out of place. Thankyou😁
Thank you sir i will sure to send you a copy of my book after um done so that you review the design. i will but you in my acknowlegemen and acknowledge this channel
Hello. Apologies if I missed it, I did my margins as you described. But when I drag and drop photos onto the page or click on them and they drop in themselves, it doesnt fill the page or go behind the margins as yours does. I have to stretch it to fit where I want it to go. Have I missed something? Thanks..
No you haven’t missed anything. When using full bleed and you want your images to reach the page edges, you click on them and they drop onto the page. From there you drag/stretch them to where you want them. To get them behind the margins out of the way, simply right mouse click on the image once you’ve positioned it, and choose Send to Back. Steve
thank you for your video. Question: are you drafting the text right into Canva or typing in other software, like Word, then Copy and Paste? Please advise. Thank you.
Hi, a little of both. If it’s a large block, say a couple of chunky paragraphs I will type it into Word then copy it into Canva. The reason I do that is because Word adds another small layer of spelling and grammar checking. I primarily use Grammarly, which works within Canva and Word, so the odd sentence, small chapter, headings or chapter titles I will do solely in Canva. Steve
Hi, you could upload your entire book and then add the margins if you wish, however, I have no idea what your book is like, so I couldn't say with this would be your best option, but it is certainly an option.

@KillerStyleStore A table of contents in an EBook has no page numbering or numbers at all. If you create hyperlinks in each chapter page, those links will become active in an eBook. As I don’t use InDesign, I can’t point you to the right method, but eBooks are bare bones compared to print.
Do me a favour Jerry, check out my latest video about greyscale and tell me if that is a better sound. I might be good with publishing, but videography was all new to me from last year. I’d love some pointers too. Any help is appreciated. Steve

Thanks a lot for this tutorial Steve! I'll be trying it out on my phone, lol. I guess it should work just as fine on Canva for Smartphones.
Cheers. And yes it should. Now at 61, texting and watching videos is about all I can see and do on a smartphone 😀
@@StevePeel I'll just go ahead and experiment on my phone then. Thanks once again!

Hello, do I need to click show bleed in Canva?
Hi, no. But it's an option 🤙
Lovely thank you 🙏
Thank you 🤙
Thank you, so I have to copy and paste every single page? Or can I upload my already written text to canva?
Hi, you could upload your entire book and then add the margins if you wish, however, I have no idea what your book is like, so I couldn't say with this would be your best option, but it is certainly an option.
Seems way more smooth than indesign
Is this a ebook template only , can I adjust the dimensions?
Adjust the dimensions to what works for you. 🤙
It's really interesting, everything, but I didn't understand how to make the cover and the back cover of the book.
Hi, type Stephen Peel Cover into the RUclips search bar and some of my videos on cover design will appear.

What if it is an ebook?
Ebooks require little in the way of margins, page numbering, headers or footers.
@@StevePeel my doubt is if I could use the same Indesign file, and how to do the Toc
