Hey Toon, thanks for the tour through my old neighborhood. You went down my old block of Marshall St. and when I lived on Darien, I went to McClure School, you also drove down my cousins block where she still lives, why I do not know🤷🏻♀️. It actually didn’t look as bad as I thought it would.
THANKS TOON...Spent 99% of my time at the park between the bball court and football field near the big pavillion ...never forget Disco Rat having parties during the birth of hip hop st the pavillion in the summers 78-82
Thanks for the tour Toon! I always love seeing Philly. My niece's dad is from Philly. I don't know what neighborhood he is from though. I want to say he is from Hunting Park. I remember him saying something about that.
Toon Dog....You have another good tour here...I just want to ask ..are you and Omi still ok? ..... I just had to ask. I still say to pull off the lower 48 state tour....You two did it and for that feat I really respect your fortitude and sticking to it. A lot couples would have quit and headed back to Philly.
Love the creative parking! I remember the cones, lawn chairs, and such people would use to hold that precious parking spot 😁 That’s Philly moxie! And all the double parking and zigzagging - orderly chaos.
Yo at one time it was named Huntington Park. The City changed it to hunting. I've been repping since 1981. Facts. Like that video as well. I watched the Logan jawn too 🔥
Bruh. I'm born and raised in North philly. I don't think it was ever called huntingdon Park 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's named after the street it's on. Which is hunting park. I literally had to make sure before I wrote this comment and looked at an original map of that area from 1910. And even in the year 1910, it was called HUNTING PARK. I can go as far back as the 1700s. Back then, it was named after the family airloom who owned the area. But for sure, in 1910 it was still hunting park. Thanks for sharing yout thoughts.
@@TOON215 A long time ago slavery was a part of the history there. The track and field was a MAN made pond 😦. The old house that's located on Old York road entrance into the park was the Slave Owner.
I believe Max’s Steaks is in Hunting Park it is soooo good. I waited on line for 45 minutes but it was worth it. In the time i was waiting there I think I saw over 100 dirt bikes
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm born and raised in North philly. Within the last decade because of gentrification. I've counted over 35 different state tags in philly. Specifically around my area. Around all the new houses. True rentals can have out of state tags. Most popular Is Arizona. But we have rental places in philly. No need to rent cars from Colorado, Arkansas,, Montana, Texas, Tennessee, Maine, new Mexico etc. Just check out one of my east kensington tours. In one of them I kept point out all the tags next to new houses. Philly welcomed tons of new residents over the last several years. Rentals. Possibly. But all of them. I doubt it. Have a great day 🙌✨️
Nice video.in those areas they conduct business off the main streets and it does come alive after dark.never had a problem there people mind their own .
Not Tuga but Tioga, used to be nice up till 70's,then that was it,every kind of crime there nowadays.I forget what the alleys look like but lots of folks work in the street on there cars no problems.

@mikevee333C'mon, Broad and Germantown is like right on the edge.
@mikevee333TEKnically it is still Hunting Park. It's Tioga once you cross Broad st going Westbound on Erie av
These houses are about 100 years old, probably more, before they were built with garages.
@mikevee333 Hunting Park the NEIGHBORHOOD reaches Erie Avenue. C'mon man. Put down the crackpipe
Germantown and Erie is where Max's steaks is.
