Bird and Magic made it shipping and moving forward, but never forget what the Doctor brought up to the NBA... before 1976 the NBA games were low scoring, defensive, rough and tough and only enjoyable for basketball geeks. After the merger new styles of playing started to develop and made the game more friendly to everybody
College for sure though some do have a case like Maravich or Bird. Highschool is between him and LeBron. And ofc NBA is debatable. But he does have the greatest overall basketball career as no one has had as much success as him at all three levels

His role model was Elgin Baylor. He got most of his moves from him. Dr. J created some also and got some from Pistol Pete. Pistol Pete had even more moves. Nobody had more than Pistol Pete. But he was extremely addicted to basketball from age about 5. Would practice more than any other player I heard of. He took a basketball everywhere and dribbled it and passed to his self. Went to courts to practice longer than pros do. Even longer than the greats and then he became a great Himself.
