Cant find a single review for the basic elevation. This is what I ordered to keep things cheap and affordable. Elevation AWD and the upgraded red paint.
I'm hoping to upgrade my 2021 at4 to this new 23 at4. Major difference to me is the new engine, addition of the moon roof and interior features which should have been added years ago. The only thing I can complain about is the manual sliding rear window. It should be automatic.

Moving the axle forward 3.1 inches does not change the body length or cab space! Only the wheelbase is longer. I dont understand why people think a longer wheelbase equals more leg room in the back seat. Also, personally I like the Colorado badging higher up on the door. Its different and a bit more individual than the same ol' location as every other rig.
Sometime engineers are so disconnected from real world practicality. Toyota did it dropping recovery hooks from their 4WD Tundras. GMC did it dropping the headlight control switch. There is absolutely no good reason to do that.
I was so looking forward to the new Canyon. I am pleased as to how great the truck looks I am equally disappointed at the power train that was chosen for this truck. Gas mileage is terrible and still using that 8 speed automatic. It’s almost like GM wants it to fail.
There is a ton of buzz about these both in the press and potential customers. They are hitting lots now, should be interesting to see how they fair when in the hands of the general public.
You would think a 4 cylinder would get better mileage than a V6. Higher torque is great but how many people actually take these trucks off road where that torque can be beneficial. Gas mileage is worse than my V6 with horsepower being about the same. The 8 speed transmission is another disappointment, should of went with the 10 and maybe got better mileage.
I wish the cab was wider... Not just the wheels. The Sierra has the correct width. But the canyon has the correct length. Also would be nice to have the high end truck without the lift, I don't like the lift. I also hate the vehicles always chiming, even if you just open the door, is so annoying and Ford is the worst
Yes. I go into details in the video and the description but cliff notes are: All Canyon models get highest power engine 2-3” lift Ultra-wide track Optional head up display
Canyons interior is just better looking and has a premium feel to it compared to Colorado, other then that they are basically the same trucks trim by trim. Canyon has yellow reflectors over the wheels while Colorado doesn't, they also have a different facia and head lights. Those are the biggest differences off the top of my head but mechanically they are just as capable but colorado's top engine a little stronger then the canyons but it's like pulling hairs. The final pricing shows a ton of differences tho hahahahaha 😆, especially converted into Canadian money.
Apart from the wider track, lift, nicer interior, there is also 6-way powered passenger seat. Now this is a bit of a negative but GMC has a forced 3-year OnStar that is not required on the Colorado. That adds 1500 to the sticker price
@@Skraals I have to disagree, I don’t think the GMC has a nicer interior. I hate what they did with the colors. But I guess that’s why there is options. For me the Colorado, is actually much much nicer, inside and out.
The price on this truck is ridiculous. What’s sad is their people out there that is dumb enough to pay it. Nice truck through just not worth what they are asking
@Winchester Model70 another dumb comments of someone that has no clue definition of truck and too dumb to realize all pickup trucks share a suv version.
Hate that the display doesn't fill the whole dash
Top trims, yes.
I love this truck, I'm getting this same one with 20's. I love the wider fenders, the height and the front end, as well as the dash layout.
Enjoy!!!
I agree! It's a beautiful truck. Although I am ordering the ZR2 because it also looks awesome but also for the money it's a better value.

The 2022 model already was. I’m excited about this truck.

Just FYI, the Aux button is not for adding auxiliary lights, it’s for turning auxiliary 110 power to outlet in the bed

Engineers would say cost reduction.
Software is cheaper.
The Toyota never gets stuck! No need for recovery hooks. HA! 😅
wonder if the interior is any bigger we know the wheel base is longer
It’s actually smaller. 😞
@@GTGarageTalk that sucks guess i dodnt want it now
They should be hitting dealer lots now. I say you should check it out for yourself.
17/21/19 MPG with this engine. No way I'll trade my Duramax 2.8L for this.
Gotta love that little diesel.
Best looking??? That’s subjective. Still prefer the look of the Frontier Pro 4x. But the Canyon is good looking and has some excellent features.
Subjective, yes.
We loved our time in the Frontier.
The frontier has good lights but looks 15k cheaper than this
LED License plate lights???
I did not check that out. I’ll keep it on my list for the next time I get access to one.
Halogen license plate light. You can see it in the video.

What is the height of this AT4? I've seen #'s all over the place from ~71" to ~82". Will this even fit in my garage?
Also, thanks for the video tour!
Official number from GMC:
79.80 in
I've seen the spec at 78"+. However, there's no way it's that tall. An AT4X Sierra is that height.
The car is really good.. i wish if they just make it v6 at least..
Except the 4 cylinder in this is more powerful than the v6 it replaces. 🤯
It doesn't need to be. Technology is awesome that way.

What's the expected gas milage????
No word on anything official from the brand but I would expect similar numbers to the outgoing model V6
Like your hat....hate the truck. Has GMC ever fix their trans problem? will not buy a four banger
Thanks!
The transmission has been updated
Many brands are ditching small v6 engines. Toyota included.
@@GTGarageTalk Just think if they put a turbo on the V6......inline 4 is working to hard
I’ll let the engineer explain it. Thanks to my friend Tim for the interview.

Dont give a Damn about power or MPG will this 4banger turbo hold up 200k miles with out major problems RELIABILITY ?????
We shall see how these hold up, but they have been in the larger Silverado/Sierra for years at this point.
