I've watched all your other Troyes videos but we've just gotten about 3" of snow here in Boston and I felt like trying this new solo mode that Torvi designed. I had printed it out some months ago but hadn't played it. I was so pleased to find you had made this just recently!
Thanks for the video. Both your how to play and this have been very helpful. I would add, however, I think I'll keep playing it "wrong". The rule that Le Roy keeps taking turns even after his dice are gone makes it go from hard to near impossible to get any positive points. But maybe I'll get good enough to try it in the future.
I don’t think it’s compatible with the official solo mode but I’m sure enterprising users on BGG have come up with something in the variants section - you’ve got me thinking about Troyes again, I might have to do another playthrough 😀

This is a fantastic tutorial. I love the explain as you go approach. I tried explaining all the rules upfront. It did not go well haha.

Where do you find this solo mode? I am interested in this game but only play solo. Does it come in the box?
Having already ordered the ladies of Troyes (£13, how could I not?), you have me worried ..is the expansion really not compatible with solo? 😱

Just the solo rules from BGG printed onto card, before the game came with them :)
