  • The winds aloft make for challenging landing conditions even though the surface winds are calm. Lots of great lessons learned today.
    Conditions: Landing runway 34 at Mulino State Airport (4s9), winds calm, winds aloft at 1000 AGL are 350 at 20-25 Kts.
    Great decision making to go-around and my student pilot made adjustments each time to correct for the severe increase in ground speed as we turn from base to final.
