Oh man keep going with BTS.. I'm a 57yr old Army and I've watched these guys grow from babies to young men who have phenomenal talent as artists and as a person.. This is one of my favorites💜💜💜💜💜 they came to UCLA and worked with the marching band and the steppers.. It's okay that part shocks everyone at first... I would recommend Black Swan, Dope, Idol... If you like rap,Rap Line is RM, J-Hope and Suga straight fire!!! Vocal line is Jungkook (JK the one who sings the bridge) Jimin usually in front, Jin with the leather coat, V the tall one in white..
I am a 50 year old extraordinarily happy ARMY. Hundreds of songs to choose and each one is fantastic. There is no such "bad" song from BTS. That is why we are here, amazed by this boys.

Jimin killing this with his unique voice..unique dance moves..you can copy if you try..but not at his level..Jimin doesn’t exaggerate his moves just to draw attention..he is naturally gifted 😉
Sienna Lalau is a pretty big deal in South Korea: She choreographed this performance, the previous one you watched, the prop routines in Dionysus, Chicken Noodle Soup for J-Hope. She and her crew have done the backup stages for BTS on their US tour legs since 2019, and she does work for countless other South Korean groups! Tip: As long as you play the company logo intro, BigHit won't give you a copyright strike. The problem you will have is with some network-owned content like music show clips, etc. That's where the dance practice videos help - you can see the stage performance without getting SBS or KBS to strike you 🥰
You should watch when they performed On in Grand Central Station for the Jimmy Fallon Show. It's the 1st time I ever saw them and I've been a fan ever since. FYI for this performance, the members in order of their 1st appearance singing/rapping are: Jimin of the fluid dancing, V (Taehyung), RM (Namjoon), JK (Jungkook) of the golden voice, Jin, J-Hope, & last but not least, Suga. I hope you finished watching the video bc their performance wasn't over yet.
Never apologize for rewinding when you find something amazing!!! I'm excited for when you go back to the beginning of BTS career. Since you love choreography, you are going to be AMAZED with their performances. If you do watch their music videos, I recommend you make it a double feature reaction with a dance practice if it's available. You can see it cleaner and clearer the way the choreographer intended. I consider myself a dance practice Army. That means I really became a fan because of their dance practices.
They have music from every genre. Solos, rap line, vocal line, solo projects.... They do it all. Their rap line is fire, their vocal line is spectacular.
Don't be sorry for going back. That is a true reaction and Armys don't mind. They've created about 300+ songs with various genres and you have a long way to go with BTS. You will realize more why they are the biggest group in the world now.

This is just a nearly perfect song and MV (there is a cinematic story line version MV but it’s a bit/very confusing to many although very beautiful we do recommend this choreography version). The song itself is about the psychology of Karl Jung’s map of the soul and the shadow part of our psyche. The choreography is so fun, Sienna is such a great choreographer. FYI if you like things like this check out the choreography videos for Fire, Not Today, Make it Right to get a variety. They have I think choreography videos for over 80 songs and over 300 songs total so pace yourself but enjoy it!

They are continually impressive! They really ARE worth all the hype! As well as being extraordinarily talented, they are sweet, funny, smart, goofy humans w/ amazing teamwork & humility!! Enjoy your journey! Always captions (doolset lyric explanations at the best); many songs have dance practice vids, behind the scenes, or explanation vids (deep lyrics + cultural/social meanings). They are a rarity, in that lives are almost always superior, & each performance is unique. Taylor's BTS intro, 2021 Festa, 2019 MAMA, Tiny Desk/NPR concerts are all great showcases of their diversity! "Butter" has light choreography like "Dynamite". Again, this pop song was written during the pandemic for their fans. It was meant to be fun, and upbeat, and easy going. It is NOT heavy with choreography like "On". I just wanted you to know that and not expect too much. But I love it. There is a surprise version of "Butter" that has an additional dance break in it. But watch the original first. Then I'll link you up with that version. Oh, and there is a really exciting James Bond version they performed at last year's Grammy's. It's excellent too. And there are other versions too. This is way cool. They remix the style of many of their fun pop songs. There are 8 remixes for this song. Cooler and Sweeter Hotter, Jazz, Funk, and 2...just for fun... different funny silly crazy dance moves versions and 2 more.

Thanks for this reaction. :) I recommend Black Swan after On. Black Swan is a song that expresses their fear of losing their passion for music. And ON is their determination to overcome that fear and move on to the future. :) BTS member Jin said in his acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA that BTS suddenly became famous worldwide and had a hard time for a year due to great pressure and fear. They even thought about disbanding. However, after a year of talking and contemplating with the members, they decided to stay in the industry only for the fans and members, and move forward. The albums that have been released since then are the Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Black Swan, ON and Boy with Luv are one of those songs. Boy with Luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY. The award show is so crazy & it helps to have heard the song 1st. For seeing the full dance routines live check out a performance from the tour directly after the song was released. If it's the 2nd tour or later they don't always perform the whole routine. Sometimes they shorten & combine them into a medley, sometimes they just interact with ARMY & goof around. 💜💜💜

The MAMA 2019 award show has an astonishing BTS💜✨performance (about 37 minutes) that still blows me away. RUclips has the whole show, but a separate video of BTS performing. It's incredibly rare for someone to recognise Sienna. Kudos. 😏👍 Actually this is "just" the dance video to ON but it's the one we tend to recommend because the original mv is absolutely stuffed with symbolism related to their fictional storyline (we're talking Korean culture, the bible, Jungian psychology,.... Their lyrics go incredibly deep. Before you react to Black Swan or their other tracks, I would recommend that you read the translated lyrics first. For me, it gave a better sense of place when I listened to the music and watched the MVs (why they put the video together the way they did, etc). Allows you to enjoy it more.
Once you do Butter, you should check out Dope followed by Fire (they are indeed dope and fiiiiirrre)!!🔥🔥🔥 💯 I promise you won't be disappointed! Those are what brought them international fame back in 2016 (along with Blood, Sweat & Tears).

Very nice, thank you. Maybe the best place to start is with the "Introduction to Bangtan 7." I'm pretty sure that's the title. Maybe an Army can help me out there. Anyway, it's a great way to understand their story from the beginning. I'm a 62 yr old Army. I was in a very dark place and these young men actually helped me find my way back. If you want to go back to the beginning of BTS, their first debut mv is no more dream from 2013. a couple of the first videos won't have subtitles, but you can find all the lyrics to bts music on doolset. You have a decade of music and content to watch. Also recommend the introduction to BTS 2022 by Taylor its the most up-to-date one out.
oooooh! Butter from last year's grammy show... it's amazing! but equally astonshing, is that 2 members had Just been cleared to perform after having covid, and 1 member couldn't participate in the full choreo because he was recovering from a surgical proceedure on his hand. The behind the scenes video of that performance adds another level of respect for their dedication to their performances.
you def got to see A guide to BTS by Taylor. talks a lot about their past and info about each member. its a long video but well worth it. and us Army's don't mind long videos or pausing so don't worry about those trivial things. I've seen these videos many many many times, and still enjoy watching them. also within BTS the members have solo songs, Suga has two mix tapes, RM has 2 mix tapes and a brand new solo album, J Hope has a mix tape and also a brand new solo album and Jin did a recent song called the Astronaut with cold play. there's so much to see. their growth is amazing . Jin has already enlisted in the military ( which is mandatory in South Korea) the other 6 will soon follow. lucky they have so much content to keep us happy until they return
I subscribed after your initial Dynamite reaction and just got caught up with your Run BTS and On reactions now. It’s so nice to see how appreciative you are of our boys’ talents and, like others have mentioned, no need to apologize for stopping to rewind and appreciate what you’re seeing. If you want to go wayyyyyy back to the beginning to when they first started, No More Dream is a must see. It was clear from that video that they were going to be something special. Enjoy the journey!
I'd already subscribed so I couldn't do it again. You're so fun to watch! I love how you get into the moments. And I had to listen to JK's solo about a dozen times before it stopped making me catch my breath every time. Moving forward, you might consider adding a live performance as well as the video - they're incredibly good live. You can do both, you can stop and talk, you can decide you need to deep dive into a bit of a lyric, whatever you'd enjoy... We'll watch. So so glad you found these artists’ amazing choreo and dance moves. Their ability to sing while dancing complex choreo is indeed one of a kind. Has anyone recommended Black Swan MV, or Black Swan (Late Night Show with James Corden or the MTV performance)? Also, their live performance at the MMA 2018 (Award Show, including IDOL, is spectacular. After which you should see their Live performance of Dionysus at the MMA 2019. You won’t be sorry! 😅

Definitely try "Fire" and "Dope" for early stuff. I also would say to watch first the MV for "I Need U" because it's a great one (but with no dancing), then watch the dance practice for that same song so you can see their choreo, which is always fantastic.

Note: BTS never got to perform "On" for a live audience. WHY? Covid the Pandemic hit. The whole world shut down. So that meant their brand new world tour had to shut down too. About a year later or so Covid had lessened a little bit...so BTD rescheduled their world tour again. Only to be shut down again! BTS vowed if the ever got to perform a concert again they would perform "On" first on their set list. And that's just what they did years later when they finally performed some concerts again in L.A. and Las Vegas!!!
I would recommend you start at the beginning. That way you get to see and appreciate their progression and their metamorphosis into the group they are today. Keeping in mind that they were originally conceptualized as a hip hop group. No More Dream is their first video put out in 2013 (or 2014) shortly after their debut.

I don't know if you realize it or not, but this is technically a performance video not a music video. There are two videos for this song the official music video which is called ON official MV this is not that official music video. This video is titled ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima it's a performance video not a music video. Also, they are not singing in this video they are not wearing any head microphones or holding hand microphones they are lip syncing it's a music video they lip sync music videos. But for live performances they do this exact same choreography while singing live! To prove that you can watch the live performance of this performance at the Grand Central terminal New York City for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon! They actually shut down the train terminal at about 2:00 o'clock in the morning and performed the song which was basically the same performance as in this video they performed it three times back-to-back choosing the best performance and broadcasting it on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The unofficial music video was filmed in the Los Angeles area in California USA. This video was performed and filmed in the Los Angeles area on the Los Angeles River that's either a dam or a bridge going across the river anyway that's the information that I have on it!

There's a dance practice for ON that's so hype it makes me cry lol, and they also performed ON for Jimmy Fallon at Grand Central station. Don't get overwhelmed, there's a lot but the more you get to know them the more you crave. If you want to start from the start they actually put some tracks out before they even debuted while they were still trainees, let me know if you want some info there, but the debut tracks were No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof pt2. Sienna Lalau is a pretty big deal in South Korea: She choreographed this performance, the previous one you watched, the prop routines in Dionysus, Chicken Noodle Soup for J-Hope. She and her crew have done the backup stages for BTS on their US tour legs since 2019, and she does work for countless other South Korean groups!
Tip: As long as you play the company logo intro, BigHit won't give you a copyright strike. The problem you will have is with some network-owned content like music show clips, etc. That's where the dance practice videos help - you can see the stage performance without getting SBS or KBS to strike you 🥰

You should watch when they performed On in Grand Central Station for the Jimmy Fallon Show. It's the 1st time I ever saw them and I've been a fan ever since. FYI for this performance, the members in order of their 1st appearance singing/rapping are: Jimin of the fluid dancing, V (Taehyung), RM (Namjoon), JK (Jungkook) of the golden voice, Jin, J-Hope, & last but not least, Suga. I hope you finished watching the video bc their performance wasn't over yet.
Never apologize for rewinding when you find something amazing!!! I'm excited for when you go back to the beginning of BTS career. Since you love choreography, you are going to be AMAZED with their performances. If you do watch their music videos, I recommend you make it a double feature reaction with a dance practice if it's available. You can see it cleaner and clearer the way the choreographer intended. I consider myself a dance practice Army. That means I really became a fan because of their dance practices.
They have music from every genre. Solos, rap line, vocal line, solo projects.... They do it all. Their rap line is fire, their vocal line is spectacular.
Don't be sorry for going back. That is a true reaction and Armys don't mind. They've created about 300+ songs with various genres and you have a long way to go with BTS. You will realize more why they are the biggest group in the world now.

This is just a nearly perfect song and MV (there is a cinematic story line version MV but it’s a bit/very confusing to many although very beautiful we do recommend this choreography version). The song itself is about the psychology of Karl Jung’s map of the soul and the shadow part of our psyche. The choreography is so fun, Sienna is such a great choreographer. FYI if you like things like this check out the choreography videos for Fire, Not Today, Make it Right to get a variety. They have I think choreography videos for over 80 songs and over 300 songs total so pace yourself but enjoy it!

1) MMA Award Show 2019 Performance of "Dionysus " This BLEW my mind. "Butter" has light choreography like "Dynamite". Again, this pop song was written during the pandemic for their fans. It was meant to be fun, and upbeat, and easy going.
It is NOT heavy with choreography like "On". I just wanted you to know that and not expect too much. But I love it. There is a surprise version of "Butter" that has an additional dance break in it. But watch the original first. Then I'll link you up with that version. Oh, and there is a really exciting James Bond version they performed at last year's Grammy's. It's excellent too. And there are other versions too. This is way cool. They remix the style of many of their fun pop songs. There are 8 remixes for this song. Cooler and Sweeter Hotter, Jazz, Funk, and 2...just for fun... different funny silly crazy dance moves versions and 2 more.

And ON is their determination to overcome that fear and move on to the future. :)
BTS member Jin said in his acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA that BTS suddenly became famous worldwide and had a hard time for a year due to great pressure and fear. They even thought about disbanding. However, after a year of talking and contemplating with the members, they decided to stay in the industry only for the fans and members, and move forward.
The albums that have been released since then are the Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Black Swan, ON and Boy with Luv are one of those songs.
Boy with Luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY.
After listening to Black Swan, you can better understand how they feel by reading ON's lyrics. :)

For seeing the full dance routines live check out a performance from the tour directly after the song was released. If it's the 2nd tour or later they don't always perform the whole routine. Sometimes they shorten & combine them into a medley, sometimes they just interact with ARMY & goof around. 💜💜💜

The MAMA 2019 award show has an astonishing BTS💜✨performance (about 37 minutes) that still blows me away. RUclips has the whole show, but a separate video of BTS performing. I love ‘On: Kinetic Manifesto’ so much; apparently they were super hot filming out in that LA parking lot (‘bring the pain on’ kind of fits…🥺) 💜

Actually this is "just" the dance video to ON but it's the one we tend to recommend because the original mv is absolutely stuffed with symbolism related to their fictional storyline (we're talking Korean culture, the bible, Jungian psychology,.... They go deep-deep!), so Kinetic Manifesto is a lot easier to swallow for newcomers. 💜

Their lyrics go incredibly deep. Before you react to Black Swan or their other tracks, I would recommend that you read the translated lyrics first. For me, it gave a better sense of place when I listened to the music and watched the MVs (why they put the video together the way they did, etc). Allows you to enjoy it more.
Doolset is the go-to for good BTS lyric translations and they also add short cultural notes where needed.
Once you do Butter, you should check out Dope followed by Fire (they are indeed dope and fiiiiirrre)!!🔥🔥🔥 💯 I promise you won't be disappointed! Those are what brought them international fame back in 2016 (along with Blood, Sweat & Tears).

Anyway, it's a great way to understand their story from the beginning. I'm a 62 yr old Army. I was in a very dark place and these young men actually helped me find my way back. If you want to go back to the beginning of BTS, their first debut mv is no more dream from 2013. a couple of the first videos won't have subtitles, but you can find all the lyrics to bts music on doolset. You have a decade of music and content to watch. Also recommend the introduction to BTS 2022 by Taylor its the most up-to-date one out.
oooooh! Butter from last year's grammy show... it's amazing! but equally astonshing, is that 2 members had Just been cleared to perform after having covid, and 1 member couldn't participate in the full choreo because he was recovering from a surgical proceedure on his hand. The behind the scenes video of that performance adds another level of respect for their dedication to their performances.
you def got to see A guide to BTS by Taylor. talks a lot about their past and info about each member. its a long video but well worth it. and us Army's don't mind long videos or pausing so don't worry about those trivial things. I've seen these videos many many many times, and still enjoy watching them. also within BTS the members have solo songs, Suga has two mix tapes, RM has 2 mix tapes and a brand new solo album, J Hope has a mix tape and also a brand new solo album and Jin did a recent song called the Astronaut with cold play. there's so much to see. their growth is amazing . Jin has already enlisted in the military ( which is mandatory in South Korea) the other 6 will soon follow. lucky they have so much content to keep us happy until they return

I'd already subscribed so I couldn't do it again. You're so fun to watch! I love how you get into the moments. And I had to listen to JK's solo about a dozen times before it stopped making me catch my breath every time.
Moving forward, you might consider adding a live performance as well as the video - they're incredibly good live. You can do both, you can stop and talk, you can decide you need to deep dive into a bit of a lyric, whatever you'd enjoy... We'll watch. A lot of the fun is when people get excited and follow their own curiosity.

Definitely try "Fire" and "Dope" for early stuff. I also would say to watch first the MV for "I Need U" because it's a great one (but with no dancing), then watch the dance practice for that same song so you can see their choreo, which is always fantastic.

Note: BTS never got to perform "On" for a live audience. WHY? Covid the Pandemic hit. The whole world shut down. So that meant their brand new world tour had to shut down too. About a year later or so Covid had lessened a little bit...so BTD rescheduled their world tour again. Only to be shut down again! BTS vowed if the ever got to perform a concert again they would perform "On" first on their set list. And that's just what they did years later when they finally performed some concerts again in L.A. and Las Vegas!!!
I would recommend you start at the beginning. That way you get to see and appreciate their progression and their metamorphosis into the group they are today. Keeping in mind that they were originally conceptualized as a hip hop group.
No More Dream is their first video put out in 2013 (or 2014) shortly after their debut.

This video is titled ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima it's a performance video not a music video. Also, they are not singing in this video they are not wearing any head microphones or holding hand microphones they are lip syncing it's a music video they lip sync music videos. But for live performances they do this exact same choreography while singing live! To prove that you can watch the live performance of this performance at the Grand Central terminal New York City for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon! They actually shut down the train terminal at about 2:00 o'clock in the morning and performed the song which was basically the same performance as in this video they performed it three times back-to-back choosing the best performance and broadcasting it on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The unofficial music video was filmed in the Los Angeles area in California USA. There's a dance practice for ON that's so hype it makes me cry lol, and they also performed ON for Jimmy Fallon at Grand Central station.
Don't get overwhelmed, there's a lot but the more you get to know them the more you crave. If you want to start from the start they actually put some tracks out before they even debuted while they were still trainees, let me know if you want some info there, but the debut tracks were No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof pt2. The videos are adorably cringy, you might want to do a live performance 😂

yo. u definitely wanna check out the *mama live performance* version of this _(just be careful with the copyright claims)_ & the *dance practice* (both the mama version _which is an extended version with an additional dance break section_ & even just the original one). i couldn’t stress enough how bts is all about *_epic-ness._* even the documentaries & video essays about them e.g., *bts: more than k-pop* by elliot sang (bby gang mag), *"the next bts:" why they fail every time.* by boracity magazine, *the rise of bangtan* by aneesa & her team (who are bunch of creatives), etc.
