Fixed: Not Registered on Network / No Sim Inserted: 6 Possible Solutions

- This should work for all Samsung phones (s2, s3, s4, s4, note 2, note 3, note 4, etc. This may perhaps work on other brand phones as well.

I have listed 6 possible fixes for your phone. Now, of course this wont help all of you but i say at least 50% of you will have your phone back to par. Each of the 6 possible steps is listed below. If none of these work for you your IMEI maybe blacklisted or not matching your phone.
Also, if none of the 6 fixes works for you another possible fix would be to root your phone and along with several other steps that many correct your sim card issue. You can look here:

1- go into network settings, click on network mode and select gsm only or cdma only- reboot phone
2- go into network settings, select network operators, then click search now, then select your provider
3- restart your phone from within the device
4- pull battery out while phone is on, then put back in and reboot
5- go into your date and time while connected to wifi, select automatic
6- insert a business card or a piece of paper into the back of your sim as your sim maybe need to be a little more tug inside.
7- I forgot this one. Ejected and reinsert your sim card! Perhaps your card was not inserted correctly.

Dippy D bro i founded that after i installed custom rom my IMEI number is losted so when i type *#06# imei does not displayed on the screen and just one button shows on the screen which is"OK" button . i triend my best to restor(write) imei number on my phone but because of MTKcheapset i can't because samsung galexy note 2 mobile has NO mtkcheapset so we can't make changes in imei settings. that's all my bro😢😭😭
Try An App called chamelephon its in playstore . It requires root... it works i tried. Give it a Shot...!!

shit man, for the last 45 minutes ive been watching videos and reading forums on how to fix no service issue on my galaxy s2 plus...tryed almost everything, went into service mode,checked IMEI number i already started planning to take him to a shop nand see if they could fix it. Then i come across this video and putting it to GSM only INSTANTLY fixed it. Thank you for this video mate you saved me time, energy and probably money aswell

Sweet, the paper under the sim card solution worked! I am back in business. It was definitely too loose in there. I ripped off 4 tiny pieces of a post-it note and stuck them on top of the SIM and then had to take a piece of masking tape to secure SIM slot so it wouldn't slide out.

I have a weird problem with my S4 i9500, I changed the screen couple of months ago and after that I started noticing that the coverage sometimes is lost, other times the coverage bars are full, but I can't receive or make calls and no 3G or EDGE connection.
I fix it by twisting the phone a little bit, or pressing hard on the back.
I opened it multiple times checked the antenna cable but with no luck.
do you have any advice for me ?

If anyone was wondering what my initial problem was it was that from time to time i would get service but alot of the time it would just cut off and when i tried to call someone would say " not registered on network" to solve this i used number 2.
This started to happen on my phone after it dropped in milk.

Dude, legit! My Data was not working for the entire day because of this problem. I followed all your steps, none of them worked except the last one (Pushing the metal slot with the Sim card) and it started working again! Thanks alot man.

i downloaded font styles but when i restarted my phone it didnt turn on

the gave it new software so it turned on
but it only said emergency calls
it only got network in one specific sim sim near my school
but no where else

Thank you very much, your explanations are very clear. In my case, I had, by mistake, my second SIMcard on (that I use in Vietnam), at the same time than my french SIM card. When I turned it off from the sim card manager, the french one could be registered.
