Personally I feel its coz of the theme. Like literally there was no 'American fashion' and everything was just flat
There were actually tons of 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s American fashion references, as well as several to classic Hollywood starlets

What was the meaning behind it?
It would’ve been talked about more if her dumbass did not post the same looks twice on her ig 2 days before the Met gala. lol she really failed into surprising everyone because she had already wore the same thing 2 days before the metgala and already posted the looks etc so that’s why not many people were surprised by her look.
i feel like i’m the only one who hates billie’s dress. i feel like the colour doesn’t fit her at all, washes her out, and the hair and makeup combo makes her look over 40

With the theme being American fashion,icon, etc. just American themed why is Lil nas wearing a knights armor? 🤔That’s European inspired...why not go with the old west if you wanted an older theme (like JLo). Or if you wanted to go back farther into American history why not a patriot, or something? Just from a standpoint of theme it makes more sense than a knight....I get it armor is cool and all but it doesn’t fit the theme.
