    This is what happens when You wake up the "Soya hua Sher!"
    Short Story: I just had to sacrifice those 2 minutes to make sure that the (my) team (The rest 5 guys) reached the board on time & also their belongings were safe!) Just felt the responsibility of the captain was more important than anything else but Nihal took it the wrong way! Expected Blitz but then he went onto Ultra-Bullet mode!
    Tip for upcoming opponents: Don't be late against Nihal guys!

    3:02 On his 3rd move, I thought that Nihal made an illegal move. Nihal touches his opponents pawn on a4 & then moves his pawn to a5..This is technically wrong as you are supposed to capture your opponent's pawn on a4 (having touched it) & since he is in a position to capture it with his Nb6..However, on replaying the incident 2 - 3 times, I hear Nihal feebly saying "adjust" which means his move was not illegal..Nihal should avoid such low voice to "adjust" his opponent's pieces as this recently got him into trouble with Nepo at the recently concluded Chess world cup 2023 in Baku and he had to take back his move...his "adjust" is barely audible and also he said it when Nepo wasn't looking. Nihal should avoid this tendency to touch opponent's pieces. Check Nihal Vs Nepo touch move video on Chess base India.

    • @friedrichvolkmann
      @friedrichvolkmann 11 месяцев назад

      The touch-move rule only applies when a piece is touched "with the intention of moving or capturing". This condition wasn't in the rules when I started playing tournament chess in the 80s, but it is today. It's so obvious that Nihal didn''t intend to grab the a4 pawn, that a fair opponent would never call the arbiter, and an intelligent arbiter would never insist on Nxa4. It was not that obvious in the Nepo game, and arbiters are those who failed miserably as tournament players, so you can guess my opinion on them.

    In classical chess, if Nihal takes a bit more risks, he might loose a couple of games, but will win 10 more games. Equally ore more talented than the top trio. Gukesh, Prag and Arjun. If he continue his drawish attitude, he can just cross 2750 slowly. Otherwise he will definitely reach 2800👍

    • @shrinivas105
      @shrinivas105 11 месяцев назад +2

      In classical nihal doesn't take risk at all. You see lot of draws from him. Gukesh on the other hand takes lot of risk hence he is climbing rating.

    • @kamalofdeka
      @kamalofdeka 11 месяцев назад

      Ya Nihal appear to me also that he is certainly a gift more talented than the top trio. But I see a lack as well , he is more inaccurate. Even in this tournament he lost to Abdussattarov. He generally losses to top players like Firouja, Abdussattarov whereas the trio is extremely hard to beat even by the best in the business. So I have come to the conclusion Nihal is less stronger .( In fact I have to admit this with a broken heart 💔 as I am a Nihal fan due to his behavior and innate talent)
      I hope he becomes equally stronger than these 3 and soon crosses 2700

    why did the dude sacc his rook for no reason? i understand he as an IM wants to draw against a GM but that was completely riduculous

    • @friedrichvolkmann
      @friedrichvolkmann 11 месяцев назад

      He was already 2 pawns down and he had no time left, so he was losing anyway. What I find more ridiculous was his earlier move Kh2 in reply to Kh8. While Kh8 prepared f6 and e5, Kh2 just showed that White had no plan and naively hoped for a repetition.
