Not even japanese shops sell kirby for less than 30 bucks so how come u guys get them so cheap? Second hand maybe? No1 would sell them off like this and make a loss except that shop is going to shut down. In addition to that retailers have to pay duties and then they need the margin which should at least make a kirby worth 50-60 bucks in western countries. The kirby was likely a bootleg :P No1 would be this stupid
+truemetalsonic I own a Meiko with yellow hair, haha - got this bootleg set of Vocaloids way, way back...They're the definition of bad quality; I remember them smelling bad and their paint jobs are ungodly. I have them in a box in storage still, tbh.
nicest bootleg I've ever seen. The box says good smile, and the eyes are even. The base only says "made in China" if bootleg .. something's things get past quality control. Have you considered that maybe someone had open this, then sold it and mixed up the bases?
there are hundreds of these on aliexpress, one for every official good smile company nendorioid. They ARE bootleg, but everyone agrees with you they are almost just as good as the real thing. On aliexpress they also happen to cost even less, 10 to 15 dollars, shipped, in the box, new. so if you have little money to spend....
Edward Elric _I bought Nendoroid Edward Elric on AliExpress and he does look the same as the real Nendoroid, except thame hair attachment and the stand (I fix them tho)_
Of course you would, because you believe in false economy. It's why people like you die in house fires because you only wanted to spend 1$ on your phone charger. This kind of behaviour should not be condoned
Key details are the paint job, head pieces, box, the missing instructions and the distributor :3 if you ever need help I collect them and the numbers grow monthly! >.>
OH MY GOD I'm showing this to my friend right next to me who got me into nendo, and she's like "why's he covering most of it" I hit play and then you reveal the Raiden body which we had a great laugh over
I bought the real one at GameStop and by the looks of it It looks very bootleg, the original ones hair has some orange shading but the one you have looks very faint and it's really shiny like most bootlegs tend to be. Also the swoop thingie is supposed to be sharp, it's just that way and Idk why :^)
The only paint detail I have seen in one of my nendos is when they forgot to paint a line in my Bayonetta you can’t see it if you are not paying attention or you don’t have your glasses on but they did forget to paint it
Sad thing is this bootleg with all its flaws still looks a lot better than the "World of Nintendo" line of official Nintendo figures selling on amazon for the same price range.
I got mine for 50$, so I quickly rushed to go check mine. I got a legit one, and was relieved. I can confirm that the Spin Attack attachment is sharp, even on a legit one.
I came looking for a video to help me put the heart container on. I saw that you and me had the same problems with mine. I have a bootleg, too. I got it for my birthday, last year, which sucks because I wanted to display my other Nendoroid (Toon Zelda) with the heart container. I might have to get a new one, now.
yeah if a Nendoroid is less then 40 dollars (they arent typically cheap)... its typically a bootleg sadly.... its also a bootleg alot if the seller if shipping from china... also when its a harder to find item i typically send the seller questions to verify its authenticity ive been scammed 3 times by fakes so far... so i follow steps these days on ebay to make sure i get the real deal.... i dont want to be scammed again
+thekid20x6 My golden rules are: 1. Make sure the seller is from Japan, not China. 2. Don't buy figures where the seller use stock images rather than the actual physical product. 3. Take a look at the seller's store and make sure that all the figures that are supposed to have stickers of authenticity have them (This is the really important one). 4. See if the seller guarantees the item is genuine in the description as that closes the loophole bootleggers use when they claim that they "never said the item was genuine!". 5. Never buy loose figures. 6. If the figure is really cheap, chances are it's too good to be true. 7. Don't buy boxes that look notably scuffed. If the seller hits all of these criteria, you SHOULD be safe to go. As you can see, this video's bootleg fails at points 3, 6 and 7. With number 3 in particular being a dead giveaway since Nintendo uses two distinct seals on their official products depending on their country of origin.
Black note you got one that was sitting around for a while and they wanted to get rid of it with a sale to open more storage space for new inventory and cut their losses... (which is what a sale is typically done for)... that happens from time to time sometimes you might end up lucky with one that is a great character thats a bit under appreciated
amiami puts some figures on sale, so you can sometimes get good deals I wouldn't buy from China, fakes and it is disgusting that people do that Shameful. Ruins the hobby, same thing with Lego, despicable
given that I Don;t have enough money, it also works the other way: go to aliexpress and you can be sure to find nendos for 10 euros! I am thinking of ordering one of aqua from konosuba right now, it's almost/virtually as good as the official one, all the accesoires are included, and it's 10 euros! I just don't have the money for the real thing as a poor student, but I want kawaii little aqua on my desk ^^ Offcourse it sucks if you think it's authentic like the maker of this video... but if you know what you are buying it can be a good alternative ^^
i bought this same nendoroid and went looking for reviews since the heartpiece didn't fit, then i found this and realized i also had a hatsune base and now i feel stupid for not checking before buying
Remember that a true nendoroid always has plastic everywhere. You can also tell it's a bootleg because of the box. i feel sorry for you but it also happened to me.
if you paid more than 20 bucks for this yeah you got the shaft. Honestly though for 20 or less that's not bad, I'm happy to have my cheap bootlegs that do 95% of what I want them to.
i recently got a bootleg young link nendo, but I got it so cheap that I didnt even care, unless that thing is painted with led its very hard to tell that its an inferior product, id suggest to avoid bootlegs is too embrace the bootlegs and get these things for cheap
I bought a fake Sonic for £7 on ebay. It was acceptable for me, since i'm not looking for incredible quality, although the stomach was crappily painted. I think the tummy painter fell asleep. His head broke off after about 2 years, and his leg came turned so it would turn sideways. I broke it immediately, because I didn't know it was turned. I dealt with using blu-tack but the leg was really loose and I had to sacrifice the bent running leg's peg thingy to use for the straight one. I got a Kirby nendoroid on Amazon.co.uk for £40 or so. I guess you should only buy expensive ones. (If you ever put anything up for sale, please use your own pictures.) I'm pretty sure I got the first release, but I MIGHT have gotten the 1st re-release. Although I think it was the 1st one. And finally, my suggestion to you is to buy a nendoroid soon after it comes out, because then there won't be any fakes yet. But I only have Fake Sonic and Real Kirby, so you can't take me for my word indefinitely. (My Sonic also didn't come with instructions.)
Ummmm whatever happened? The box looks authentic, although beat up, since it's from Good Smile Company. And GSC is legit bruh. Probably you got a second hand one and previous user wasn't that careful of things. A brand new one would have had plastics everywhere.
I just ordered my MM version from Amazon. Reviews say it's original but now I'm wondering. The seller is Good Smile and original was $46.99 I got it on sale for $29.72.. Shipping and tax came to $41 and change. Do you know if Good Smile is legit?
I had the same problem with my Kantai Collection Kongo,a friend bought her me knowing I liked the anime and thought it was offical. Pretty much shoddy paint as well as horrible plastic,if it got a little warm in my room she would pop apart...I thought she was haunted at first since I kept finding her head in random areas since it would lop off and roll some where XD.Also all bootleg nendos have HORRIBLE base pegs slots I think.
Question!! Does the ball joint have the good smile logo (the happy face)?? I am looking if bootlegs usually have that just to make sure my toon link is genuine....
Did you get your money back BTW? Also for Amazon, I usually do Amazon Prime, because then I am going through amazon, and it makes me feel safer if I do get a bootleg.
But.... The heart container isn't froooom smash... It's IN smash cuz it's From Link, hahahah I'm not actually criticizing you, it was pretty funny what you said though
i got my pink nenderoid at gamestop and its 100% real and to tell if its real it should have a sticker that says"offical nintendo licensed product" and has to have instructions and move the figures parts and see if its lose and its not to shiny thats a bootleg and id trash it
Not Amazon nor eBay per se are indicator for a Bootleg. On both pages you will find lots of stockists who are actually selling licensed products (just bought a few days ago the Lana Nendoroid from Pokemon via an Amazon third party seller). Keep your eyes up for 2 simple steps: The price. Even for pre-owned Nendoroids 20 Bucks would be suspicious. But for a new one that's out of print for a long time? No. The seconds most important thing is to check the seller. If this guy is located in China, and you will definitely find his adress in the imprint (or simply look the country from where he ships) or Taiwan or anything like that, stay away from him. Check his other products, his reputation and so on. It's really easy to avoid a Bootlegger. Know this video is old, but there is still enough Good Smile fake shit out there.
Hrm... Why do you think this is a bootleg? It's exactly like the one that I've seen in Hastings, and all of the versions online in Google Images are the same way. More than anything, considering none of them were covered in plastic, you probably had the base switched out and they played around with it a lot before selling it.
Very poor paint job (all Nendo's are top notch), parts that don't fit in, no instructions, the "sword effect" part is so poorly molded you CAN cut yourself on it. Finally, I showed a GoodSmileCompany representative on Twitter (USA branch) and they confirmed it IS bootleg.
I know this video is old, but where would I be able to find this figure for a cheap price online? Canada's dollar sucks at the moment and I don't really have a lot of money but I really want this figure D:
www.amazon.com/Good-Smile-Legend-Zelda-Nendoroid/dp/B00JL74W4I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1467134413&sr=8-2&keywords=nendoroid+link I dunno, I got it from this seller: Big Hope&Dream, not sure if it'll be legit.
Yeah I bought the BOTW nendoroid for $20 and than I realized its bootleg. The paint job actually looks good but nothing fits and it keeps falling apart. What a piece of junk.
Wait, at the beginning of the video, you said" I was bootleg". Also the title says Booleg.
XD
Yeah, that's a bit of a typo. I'm the real deal.
+Goodbye18000 Hope you fix it soon. :p
Goodbye18000 I bought a pussy figure
EricIsNotHere was about to say that 😑
0:27 - Today we have "Link from the Wind --Wanker--"
I applaud you sir
LaurieMoon lol wank ehh link odd out wank with that wind pose?
LaurieMoon I bought a pussy figure and a wanker figure
i was like wait did he say.... what did he just say wha when why ok just gonna accept it
Hahaha!
For a bootleg this looks really good...Especially considering price.
You paid 20 dollars for it... HELL yeah it was going to be a bootleg. smh.
Sergio Valdez i got a legit kirby one on Ebay for $20
Not even japanese shops sell kirby for less than 30 bucks so how come u guys get them so cheap? Second hand maybe? No1 would sell them off like this and make a loss except that shop is going to shut down. In addition to that retailers have to pay duties and then they need the margin which should at least make a kirby worth 50-60 bucks in western countries. The kirby was likely a bootleg :P No1 would be this stupid
@@shinjid3705 well ye. 2nd hand/used are usually the way if you want tham under 30
@@roid_G_zorod ye. Though second hands are a bit worse as they're condition might be bad
Looks nice for a bootleg
Im sure it isn't
first time seeing a nendoroid bootleg box with the company logo
So it isnt lol
i'm guessing that the seller put the bootleg in a legit box
Amazon is not bad you just have to pay attention to the details.
Amazon is fineeee...
But can be risky if you don't look in the right places.
Ebay on the other hand...Yeahhh...x'D
I can't believe Link is a Vocaloid
Big bad toy store is also a good place to get nendoroids!!
if you don't want your bootleg I'll take it off your hands
Sometimes I see obvious bootlegs and think. "Nah, you're not fooling people"Like MEIKO with yellow hair or generally wrong coloured parts
+truemetalsonic I own a Meiko with yellow hair, haha - got this bootleg set of Vocaloids way, way back...They're the definition of bad quality; I remember them smelling bad and their paint jobs are ungodly. I have them in a box in storage still, tbh.
+Octavia Adamson you should watch anime box's video about bootlegs

I brought the majora mask Nendoroid today and it has the official Nintendo licensed product sticker on it which means the one I have is probably real.
Even tho this comment is 4 years old, yes as long it has the Nintendo Official Product Sticker it's real and genuine
Id rather spend $15 on a bootleg that still looks good instead of wasting £60 + on a toy...
James I got the original one but my aunt bought it so i don't care... XD
James trust me it's worth it
You do realize there not toys right? There meant only for display or for some people stop motion and photography.
Of course you would, because you believe in false economy. It's why people like you die in house fires because you only wanted to spend 1$ on your phone charger. This kind of behaviour should not be condoned
Chris Nelson its just because he actually wants to spend alot of money on something important?
you have to look on the box,if has the nintendo seal approviment,is original
At this point idc if I get a bootleg
Looks really nice for a bootleg
Key details are the paint job, head pieces, box, the missing instructions and the distributor :3 if you ever need help I collect them and the numbers grow monthly! >.>
OH MY GOD

Never mind. Became pretty clear
I'm surprised no one said "this is what you get for those joke leaks even though it was obvious and I fell for it."

I think the original sword effect was sharp anyway. The nenderoid meta knight sword effect has sharp edges as well.
theres your mistake, buying from amazon, nendordoid/figma bootlegs run wild there.
I bought a fake Sonic for £7 on ebay. It was acceptable for me, since i'm not looking for incredible quality, although the stomach was crappily painted. I think the tummy painter fell asleep. omega omega good smile are the people who make nendroid so you should be good
I got one from a fake good smile today, it makes me so mad
If it has official Nintendo sticker, it's official
Just glue the heart piece in place. Not like it's going to degrade the value.
Aw hell I think I got a bootleg and it took me 10 months to figure it out.
so is the base a bootleg or is the toy a bootleg
For some reason I got one that said 001 or 007 and it only came with a fraction of the things it came with.
It's real, but it's an EZ nendoroid
I had the same problem with my Kantai Collection Kongo,a friend bought her me knowing I liked the anime and thought it was offical. I brought one I hope is not a bootleg it's coming on December 12
ThePokemonGamer Kirigaya Was it a bootleg?
Nacho Libre yeah I was angry
You couldn't even move the arms without the arms falling off and the paint was bad
Is the bootleg at least useful for some custom parts?
I got a bootleg Red from Wish, and I also got a Crypton base. they're ok
Wish is guaranteed bootleg
Question!! Does the ball joint have the good smile logo (the happy face)?? I am looking if bootlegs usually have that just to make sure my toon link is genuine....
Mine doesn’t look very glossy like yours so I believe it’s authentic.
Good review , have a question hope you can help me , does the original and bootleg have a goodsmile face on their neck or leg joints ??
Damn man, I feel for ya :( hope you got your money back.
But the box said it's from good smile company it's official but maybe Amazon switch it with a bootleg
It's shiny as soon as you see that it's a bootleg
Where on amazon did you buy it? I want to be cheep and give one to my sister
What did Amazon say when you complained?
Did you get your money back BTW?
Also for Amazon, I usually do Amazon Prime, because then I am going through amazon, and it makes me feel safer if I do get a bootleg.
it's ok I have a bootleg link too u t not the only one
It's a bootleg.. But I have to admit, it looks pretty nice, I'm buying lol...
But.... The heart container isn't froooom smash... It's IN smash cuz it's From Link, hahahah
I'm not actually criticizing you, it was pretty funny what you said though
oh dear I've ordered one from Amazon ...
shit.
annnnnddd it probably a bootleg.
I just double checked the comments.😂🔫
thank God mine was legit
Yo Game stop is now selling Nendoroids. So just a heads up they're around 40 USD!! Got my Wind Waker today
I got the Majora's Mask Link
SteelEmpoleon Barnes and Noble sells them too. I got my brother a Megaman from there
(Ik this vid was a long time ago but) U could of looked in the reviews
you think a store called "anime wild " will get a bootleg. I cost me 50 dollars and it is a real store
i got my pink nenderoid at gamestop and its 100% real and to tell if its real it should have a sticker that says"offical nintendo licensed product" and has to have instructions and move the figures parts and see if its lose and its not to shiny thats a bootleg and id trash it
Good videos! :)
What's gsc stand for?
cosmic banaynay good smile company
What if it cost 90$
I'm going to buy a sonic nendoroid bootleg. the real one is waaay to much.
I got it for like 7 dolars, worth it tbh
You can tell right away it's fake. The grainy and off print on the box. No sticker on the box. The shininess of the face plates. Also it was $20.
I bought mine from gamestop. I don't think it's a bootleg everything fits right but it looks like this^ :/
He said wind wanker 😂😂
I bought mine from gamestop on sale
4:14 WHAT THE HELL MAN!

who gives a shit if its a bootleg. i'm purposely buying it lol, this seems pretty good for a ko
well shit i just realized this vid is like 6 years old💀💀💀
I got mine on eBay and think it’s legit
at 27 he says here we have link from the wind wanker
having a bootleg thats NO GOOD!
Did you buy it cheap? If it's cheap then it's Bootleg and you can't complains. You paid for what you get. You can't expect authentic and it's cheap.
He got it for 20 dollars
Name_Error That explains it, authentic is $50. I know because I just bought one from Uwajimaya.
***** Yup
Yeah I bought the BOTW nendoroid for $20 and than I realized its bootleg. The paint job actually looks good but nothing fits and it keeps falling apart. What a piece of junk.
thats not a bootleg!
Umm...I don't think that's a bootleg...
So don't be cheap
i got a booleg to !!!!!! sad
Looks off
Well shit.
Also big bad toy store
Box is terrible, Amazon is not good
