I already have this iron, I bought it from HSN and I love it!!!! I bought this iron a year and half ago and i have had no problems with it. It is the perfect iron for quilting or sewing projects. Not to mention that it makes pressing and ironing a breeze.. I would recommend this iron to anybody who wants to press and iron their clothes, sewing or quilting projects. It is perfect!!!!
I have to admit, when I saw you take out all those pieced squares I though to myself. ..no way she's going to press all those seams open. Then you did! I'm impressed that you take such great care with your quilting projects to go that extra mile. I do NOT press my seams open unless it's garment sewing. Very nice demo of your new iron.
Thank you Sharon. I hope you watched the follow up review too. I only press seams open when I will have a lot of them meeting in the corners....99% it's HSTs.
We love this iron; so convenient!! I would also highly recommend this iron to anyone who quilts as you can piece so easily with it!! My hubby and I take turns and he made an ironing board between our two sewing machine cabinets and we have the iron between us and we can both use it. It irons great!!
Very detailed review, I enjoyed it ! I bought NI-WL607 model, not sure about differences between models but I’m very pleased with this iron. I use it for quilting too.
@@teaquilts I also subscribed to your channel. You are a very interesting person with many talents, nice personality, ambitious and friendly. Many blessings to you 🙏
Can this iron be charged and used with the water tank removed, please? I dry iron only and I prefer the iron to be as light as possible. You mention removing the tank; I would like confirmation. Thank you
The iron is great for traveling. However, if using at home to press backing and yardage, I'd get something else! I may have found an alternative that's way cheaper.
We use our Osilio (sp?) for the big ironing projects. Like washed fabrics for a quilt!! I used to wash all my fabrics, back in the day, and I would spend half a day every day ironing, ironing, ironing!! Then wrap them back up on the cardboard thingies you get when you buy the rest of the bolt at any fabric store. I even ask if they have extras. Now, I have bought, many years ago, those plastic thingies so I have to rewind all my fabrics again!! Ugh!!!
Help where can I find out why my iron sometimes when I plug it in both too and off light come on and it will not heat can’t change the buttons nothing works was disgusted left it off overnight plugged back in now works but now after two weeks it’s doing this again
Thanks for doing this. Great video. Got one of these for about 25 usd as a promotion just a few days after my cheap corded bachelor's iron bit the dust. Wanted to see if there were any tips and tricks to make sure I didn't mess it up. Looks great.
thanks for the info this was interesting - I did not like that "button" to change the temp (those kind of buttons seem to wear out fast) - that it is pointed in both directions?? hmm that will take some getting use to because every other iron has that flat edge in the back and I do use that flat edge - other than that you got me interested enough to go check out one of these irons - I have about three irons and they are all over 10 years old so a new iron would be a good purchase - P.S. THANK YOU FOR SAYING YOU HAD TO SET YOUR SEAMS - MANY BYPASS THAT STEP (OR DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT) AND DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE IT MAKES
Thanks Mary. I too (as you saw in the video) had problems wanting to set the iron on the flat edge (that wasn't there!) It will take some getting used to not doing that step. I think I'm going to love it when I start traveling with it.
Setting seams is so very important---I have done that since I began quilting in 1986!! All of my quilt points have come out perfect because of that extra step.
I hope you also viewed the follow up to this iron as well Winnfred. Regarding retreat, the information is uploaded to my Teaquilts Facebook page in the files section. I'm currently uploading a video I just recorded today. The video should be available in a few hours as it takes a while to upload to RUclips.
Only for a travel iron or for ironing block pieces. If you want an iron to press yardage, I don't recommend. Why, because while the iron feels hot, for some reason, the wrinkles don't disappear. Not sure if it's the weight of the iron, but it doesn't work for me. However, I do use them when I'm teaching classes to demo pressing.
I had been considering this iron. I watch the update as well. I will have to give it more thought. Thank you for the review. BUT I want to know about the long rolling pin looking thing you are pressing your little blocks on with the iron to get the seams to open. Did you make it and is there a tutorial on it ? Have an amazing day Tea !
Hi Debbie! That gizmo is called The Strip Stick by Babb Enterprises. If you google that, you'll get their website. I used to sell them, but don't have any in stock at the moment. You'll enjoy it!

Thanks Yvonne for commenting. I'm hoping this will become my fav iron and last me a while!
I hope yours will be working with you for a long time like mine has.
Is it good for daily iron? I mean small home, twice a week

Thanks for a very thorough test drive of this iron. I need a new iron. Gonna watch your Iron Update and see if you still like it. Thanks again.

$25.00 USD? Freestyle 360? If so, sounds like you got a good deal. I think most of 5hese are at least close to $40.00 USD and above.
I have one too from HSN. LOVE it!!! I just forgot how to open up the cover. Thanks for a great video!
Thank you Sandy.
how do you like your Panasonic cordless iron now.?
I haven't used enough to update my info; hoping to do an update video in 30-60 days.

Is that a piece of wood you use to press open the seam? I like that concept!!!
It's a product called The Strip Stick. You can google it.
Good video! I've been considering getting a cordless iron
Thanks for all of the good info?
My pleasure Freddie. Just remember that for yardage pressing, it's a little small to me. Otherwise, I love it.
Thank you for the review, I would like to attend one of the retreat in 2018 how do i go about it?
I hope you also viewed the follow up to this iron as well Winnfred.

teaquilts Yes i did i think will get myself one .
Would u recommend this iron.?

Is it good for normal daily use home? How many watt? Compareing with normal steam iron with cable stick to power like 1700watt?thanks
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for this iron?
I have this same iron and it works beautifully,my only problem is the steam, it’s not good for steam. That’s it!!
I'm going to buy this for black Friday
I hope you enjoy it. I use for pressing seams as I piece. I found if large area needed pressing it was too small.
thanks for the review....would love to have one.
My pleasure!

Thank you! Ordered one from Missouri Star with my quilters cash!!!
Wow! You had a lot of quilter's cash! I love it!
If you ever need another one, try Amazon. That is where I bought mine.
I Really Enjoyed your Video... Thank you.
My pleasure Coretta. I also did a follow-up review on this too.
Very nice video! Thank you!
My pleasure. Make sure you watch my follow-up to this product as well.
Many reviews says the iron dies after nearly 1 year.
Mine is still working just fine. Thanks for the comment as other viewers may find it useful.
You need a new ironing board cover.
