So clever the way you repurpose simple bits. Love the chainring bolt on the brifter😂 Mentioned it before but I bought the exact same Diamondback Intense brand new. My friend still has it in original condition.
nah no regrets at all , here is the reasons why - don't have to custom build front wheel - I don't really ride in the wet in Australia - I don't mind the feeling of rim brakes - matching brakes/levers front and back having said that I have disc brakes on the monopole to compare, but I think it disc is more suitable for that bike because its bigger/heavier/carry more stuff. this bike doesn't need imo !
Gnarly ride man, really want one of those forks! Do you reckon it’s worth finding a frame with pretty nice steel to put one on, or just throw it on whatever’s heavy duty?
cheers man ! yeah the fork is sick pretty fun. I think depends what you use it for , if you are going to be carrying stuff all the time / heavy abuse, I would use just a beater frame you like so that you don't mind if it gets scratched up. if you are going to use it as your daily, carry less stuff or if you only have 1 bike I would put nicer steel on it as you would probably treat it a bit nicer.

hell ya ! hahah yeah the bolt was the only thing that would fit. wow you musta gotten that bike a long time ago!!
Excellent fork! I've never seen one like this, you can convert any 26' bike into a cargo bike
cheers mate, yep it’s a fun upgrade for any bike!
Maybe you could teach your kid to work on bikes too. I think all kids should gain those skills.
yes! I think having the ability to fix things is very worthwhile
What sorta tire clearance does that fork have? Do you still have room for a fender with 2.4s in?
i honestly think 2.4 probably max , probably will need to run smaller tyre if u wanna run fenders , or custom fenders

Perfect grocery getter!
@@rhysrhysrhys thats it ! does frequent grocery work
thanks Gary, love those bars, are they 22mm clamp?, I guess they are with the BMX stem, great stuff
@@reeceholmes8546 they are 25.4mm ! can use with most older mtb stems 👍👍
@@garysprojects thanks Gary
the lower end stuff are sometimes more bombproof than the high end ones. i can attest to that.
definitely, the higher end stuff is made to be light which usually breaks way easier
Very nice. The temptation to have an alloy tube cut to size instead of all the stackers would be too much tho.
@@johna6968 oooo yea that would be fun !
I want a Gary origin story. Like how did you learn to
Wrench. Do have a day job? What got you into biking? Maybe a live stream q and A?
i did one a couple years back but maybe one in the future, learnt wrenching all through youtube
