Hello, hope you can help me. I i bought usb wifi adapter for my pc to share wifi from my phone and i did connect but it says "no acces to internet" same thing when i connect with the bluetooth method, it say it is connected but no internet acces. How to fix that?
If you're experiencing connectivity issues when trying to share your phone's internet connection with your PC using a USB Wi-Fi adapter or Bluetooth, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue: Check Your Phone's Internet Connection: Ensure that your phone has a stable internet connection. You should be able to browse the web and use apps on your phone without any issues. USB Wi-Fi Adapter Driver Installation: Make sure that you have installed the necessary drivers for your USB Wi-Fi adapter on your PC. You can usually find the drivers on the manufacturer's website. Once installed, make sure the adapter is recognized by your PC. Connectivity Settings on Your Phone: On your phone, go to the hotspot or tethering settings and ensure that the Wi-Fi hotspot or Bluetooth tethering is enabled. Make sure that you've set up a secure hotspot, and note the hotspot name (SSID) and password for Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect to the Correct Network: On your PC, make sure you're connecting to the correct network. It should be the Wi-Fi hotspot created by your phone. Search for available Wi-Fi networks and select your phone's hotspot. Enter the password if required. Windows Network Troubleshooter: If you're using a Windows PC, you can run the built-in network troubleshooter. Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar and select "Troubleshoot problems." Follow the prompts to diagnose and potentially fix the issue. IP Configuration: Sometimes, there may be issues with IP configuration. You can try releasing and renewing your IP address: Open the Command Prompt as an administrator. Type the following commands and press Enter after each: bash Copy code ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew Firewall and Antivirus Software: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the connection. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, you can configure your security software to allow the connection. Network Adapter Settings: Check the settings of your USB Wi-Fi adapter. Sometimes, there may be settings that prevent internet access. Right-click on the Wi-Fi adapter in the network settings and choose "Properties." Ensure that settings like "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. Restart Your Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart of both your PC and phone can resolve connectivity issues. Check Data Limits: Some mobile carriers impose data limits on tethering. Make sure you haven't reached any data limits that might be affecting your ability to access the internet through your phone. Contact Your Mobile Carrier: If you've tried all the above steps and are still having issues, it's possible that your mobile carrier may be blocking tethering or have specific requirements for tethering. Contact your carrier's customer support for assistance. If none of these solutions work, please provide more details about your phone, PC, and operating systems, as well as any error messages you encounter, so I can offer more specific guidance.
Doesn't work for me. I used to go sometimes to McDonald's and connect using their WiFi. However their WiFi now restricts many usages, including most RUclips videos. So I want to connect my PC through the CELL MOBILE SERVICE of my phone, NOT through a WiFi Hotspot. So I plugged an USB cable into my Android 12 phone and into my Windows 11 PC, disabled WiFi on that Windows 11 PC, went in my phone until "USB Tethering", clicked it to "On", accepted Data access, but in my PC systray I don't get the Network connection icon announced at 3:36 in the video. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties in setting up USB Tethering between your Android phone and Windows PC. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: Make sure you have the latest USB drivers installed for your Android phone on your Windows PC. You can usually find them on the manufacturer's website or through a quick internet search. Restart both your Android phone and Windows PC to ensure a fresh start. Try using a different USB cable or USB port on your PC. Sometimes, faulty cables or ports can cause issues with connectivity. Check if USB debugging is enabled on your Android phone. Navigate to your phone's settings, go to "Developer options" (if available), and ensure that USB debugging is turned on. Try disabling any USB power-saving settings on your Windows PC. These settings may interfere with the USB tethering process. To do this, go to "Device Manager," locate your USB ports, right-click on them, and choose "Properties." Look for any power management options and disable them. If you have any security software or firewall installed on your PC, temporarily disable them to check if they might be blocking the USB tethering connection. Double-check if your mobile data service plan allows tethering. Some service providers may have restrictions on tethering or charge extra for this service. If none of these steps work, you may want to contact your phone manufacturer or service provider for further assistance with USB tethering.
When you create a mobile hotspot on your computer, it essentially turns your computer into a wireless access point, allowing other devices to connect to it and share its internet connection. In some cases, enabling the mobile hotspot feature may temporarily disable the Wi-Fi connection on your computer because the same Wi-Fi radio is used for both connecting to an existing network and broadcasting the hotspot. To resolve the issue and ensure that devices connecting to your computer's mobile hotspot have internet access, you can try the following steps: Make sure your computer has an active internet connection before enabling the mobile hotspot feature. Connect your computer to a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection, and verify that you can access the internet. Enable the mobile hotspot feature on your computer. The process may vary depending on your operating system. Generally, you can find the mobile hotspot settings in the network settings or system preferences of your computer. Configure the mobile hotspot settings. Set a network name (SSID) and a secure password for your hotspot to prevent unauthorized access. Make sure to choose a strong password. Once the mobile hotspot is enabled, check if other devices can connect to it. On the devices you want to connect, search for available Wi-Fi networks, and select the network name (SSID) of your computer's mobile hotspot. After connecting to the hotspot, devices may obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP, or you may need to configure the IP settings manually on the connecting devices. If the devices are successfully connected but still do not have internet access, try restarting your computer and the connected devices. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. If the issue persists, review your computer's network settings and firewall settings to ensure they are not blocking the internet connection sharing or the traffic from the connected devices. If you continue to experience difficulties with the mobile hotspot functionality, consult the documentation or support resources specific to your computer's operating system for further assistance.
@@HetmanRecovery No, they did not work. The computer and phone must have a pre-existing internet connection in order to utilize its hotspot capabilities. The phone, will however, mimic wifi protocols over a tethered USB connection to the laptop, which will view the conntection as an ethernet and allow communicatin between apps. But I want to dispense with the USB cable and use wifi to allow the phone to control an application on the computer, which it will do if there is either a router providing an internet connection or the faux ethernet provided by USB tethering.
I don't want to share an internet connection, I want to utilize the Wi-Fi capabilities of the laptop and phone to allow them to communicate with each other. For the sake of this question, imagine that there is no internet, it's 1945 and someone gave you a laptop and cell phone from the future, and you want to connect them with each other using their on-board Wi-Fi equipment. Currently, the phone will mimic Ethernet protocols and the laptop will consider it an Ethernet port when the phone is connected as a tether device over a USB cable. But neither device allows its hotspot to be turned on in the absence of an internet connection. I suspect this was a deliberate lock put on the newer equipment to keep people from using hotspot as an unlimited internet provider, in which case either the driver needs to be rolled back or an older Wi-Fi card used.
It worked for me. In essence you're using your smartphone as a "modem". Usually it is used in this mode to connect via "mobile data" to a mobile network provider but in this case after connecting your phone to your PC via the USB cable (and enabling USB tethering) you will then click the wireless icon on your phone to connect to the wireless network and not the mobile provider. So if you know how to connect your PC to a mobile data network via your phone it's very similar just substitute your mobile data network with the WiFi network.
