Hello everyone! This is Zlatomir Fung, the performer and speaker in the video. As another commenter pointed out, I incorrectly called the Polish composer Penderecki a “Soviet Composer”. I would like to apologize for this mistake, and apologize to anyone I may have offended. Thank you for watching!
Thank you, Zlatomir! I love your playing a lot. Don't even think about the person who commented rudely. People can be very unfriendly on social media because they are just not a genuine person. People make mistakes, we are not God. From your speech, I can tell you are a very special person, and I wish you the very best career.
Thank you for above sidenote. As a polish cellist I think it is important to thing about european music in more detailed, insightful way. Always try to recognise country of origin, it also helps in interpratation of the music. Miaskowsky, Martinu, Kabalevsky, Lutosławski are all from different styles and cultures, so try to look closer. It's not about people's feelings, it is about style and clarity and the truth. Wonderful interpretation! Congrats!
